This is honestly one of my favorite series! It’s a bit unusual at times but so enjoyable for those who want to have fun.
I’m not sure if you guys are taking recommendations, as it’s likely you all have busy schedules with the constant uploads, but I’d like to recommend ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, it’s a great action/comedy movie and the series of movies are just classics!

This is one of my favourite episodes of the season. Damon finally showing care and concern for Stefan, Damon and Alaric working together, Elena showing some bravery, Stefan drinking human blood, and the discovery of Vicky’s body - just excellent stuff!

Not really. I feel they could have done more, especially when you compare it to the 10p which was also on the CW. Tvd was super tame imo

Did you guys forget that they made it pretty clear early on the show that Damon and Stephan walk during the day because of their ring . Others few who can also go out in the sun have to have some sort of magical jewelry… so it has nothing to do with the vampire’s age. It’s just a matter of knowing where and how to procure such things.
Zuff is firing on all cylinders on this fantastic episode. I love it!
Elena is either super brave or super dumb because there is no way I’m showing up at a house full of vampires 😅

Elena is suffering from survival guilt, there’s a deep and psychological reason why Elena is behaving this way and put her self in a very dangerous situation and the fact that she is very careless with her life. The person with a survivor guilt have this irrational guilt that they don’t deserve to live so they put themselves in reckless situations because subconsciously they want to die. Usually the most compassionate and empathic person who go through trauma of losing their loved ones but ended up being the one who survived the trauma, have the higher chance to develop this mental illness.
@@mahamoon1917 100% this, while she won't actively harm herself, she is suicidal.
EDIT: She's also at the end of the day a very selfless person, at her core she would still be the type to put herself in danger for her friends, due to her current mental state she's just way more reckless about it.

the Damon and Alaric team up was the highlight of the episode for me. I also liked how Alaric observed damon and elena in the classroom. He knows that they have something deeper between them.

I feel bad for Caroline but in this specific instance it shouldn’t really be surprising that Matt is able to be more vulnerable with Elena than her. Matt and Elena were best friends since they were like toddlers, grew up together then dated. Caroline’s been with Matt both friendship and dating for like what? A month?

I mean, that's all fine. But don't straight up lie to the girl and say 'I need to be alone' and then cry in his ex's arms moments later.
Matt lacked the maturity to have proper conversations or communicate in relationships.
He's also emotionally abusive, with all the gaslighting he does, saying stuff or talking shit that puts her down every time, or letting his mum bully her. The worse thing is, he doesn't even realise he's doing it and thinks of himself as the 'good boyfriend'. Emotional narcissist + 🔴 flags.

Also Matt and Caroline knew each other from a young age being raised in a small town but Matt and Caroline have been acquaintances up until recently. It's different. However Caroline knew about this from the get go so no not really brutal.

But there's continuity errors too bc they can hear a single conversation over the crowd at the Grill or at the school so sometimes it seems like they pick and choose when they can and can't hear things lol But I guess we can chalk it up to whether or not they're actually TRYING to hear a conversation or not, like their level of focus 🤷🏽♀️
Caroline has suffered quite a lot. From constantly being assaulted by damon to being second pick (friends and love interest) to finding Vicky's dead body

This was my first episode of The Vampire Diaries. I was hooked right away, despite not knowing ANYTHING prior. (Which was probably a very common occurrence than it is nowadays.)

There was some weird racial shit going on behind the scenes with Bonnie which is fkd up. Not with her costars but like producers/directors. She has spoken on it.
I will admit almost most of the TVD fandom hates on Matt (for reasons i can’t particularly explain now) but truly he goes through so much. i guess it’s bc I can kind of relate to his situation, HAVING to get a job & growing up quickly it sucks. i wish that on no body.
I think it is worth nothing that the books are a lot different from the series. They're both interesting in different ways!
