X Men ‘97
Surprised you all haven't watched Shogun
LOL I ligit thought spidey was Navi
Answearing your video title question, Last of Us TV show can suck dick , horrible adaptation of great games while Fallout tv series , well I swallowed all 8 episodes in one sitting and I crave more which should tell u alot
great harmonizing my dudes
Suraj isn't a bad singer.
i want a full version of them Barbershop quarteting the song
I literally can’t hear “I don’t want to set the world on fire” without remembering the trailer for Fallout 3. I hope they start every reaction with an a cappella version of that song.
I’m sad they didn’t use the theme song from fallout… maybe
@@zayrobinson-wb8ysshows up later if I remember right.
@@Justanotherconsumer from fallout 1? where
@@zayrobinson-wb8ys at the end of episode 3
26:06 Ghouls are basically humans whose bodies have changed from heavy radiation exposure & didn’t die from it. The radiation exposure also stops them from aging, so they can live hundreds of years.
However, the radiation exposure can also affect their minds, turning them feral. When they become feral, they’re basically like zombies, & they’re the fast kind.
Doesn't stop aging. Just slows it down
i am surprise the ghoul bite didn't turn human into another ghoul, just spread small radiation on them
@fentonstrauss7304 That's not how radiation works. Everybody who lives on the surface is being exposed to radiation constantly. If you live long enough or get exposed to a big dose you can become a ghoul, but it's not like the ghouls themselves are so radioactive that they can turn people into ghouls.
While the way ferals work is kind of left open, i've always interpreted it as the brain aging when the body wasnt. most of the pre war ghouls you meet in the games are only non feral because they take extreme pains to stay focused on something, as soon as they settle down Dementia hits and they go feral (that isnt explicitly the case in this show however and there are rules introduced for the show)
@@fentonstrauss7304 Ghouls aren't exactly the cause of an infectious disease/virus/organism like every other zombies in fiction, like they said they're mutations caused by radiation so it cannot spread because the source isn't biological.
On another note, the humans who have survived whilst being exposed to radiation constantly have grown somewhat resistant to radiation, although not by a whole lot. It's possible it takes quite a lot of radiation exposure before someone effectively turns into one, and the bite from a regular feral isn't quite enough.
Not quite so sure about glowing ghouls though.
Chris Nolan: I'll do a film about how it begins
Jonathan Nolan: I'll do a tv series about the end
TLoU had the advantage of following the game’s story. Fallout tells its own. I think that deserves being called out as better than TLoU, but they both stand as great tellings of their franchises.
Well.....see, you're partially right. You're right there all over the point, but you still missed it a bit.
The Last of Us did have a story to follow, but it stupidly chose not to. It alienated everything great about the game right down to every character. It failed miserably and seemingly on purpose.
Fallout doesn't exactly have a story to follow, yet the series feels exactly like a Fallout storyline.
Both series fail hard on the fact they are boring. They are so boring and have no business being so.
I don't need either to be non stop action and gunfire against infected, raiders, and mutants. But wow did both of these shows take the cowardly and lazy way out with too much mellow drama and useless dialogue to eat up minutes rather than balancing quality dialogue and personal interactions with the violent and merciless worlds they are set in.
These are both boring lazy shows.
@@markbrowning4334 Well you're entitled to your wrong opinion.
the only one who has failed is you
@@markbrowning4334Yeah the shows would be much better if they put Subway Surfers gameplay somewhere on the screen
wtf show did you watch that you thought Fallout was boring? jesus christ@@markbrowning4334
i love how Stimpaks work just like in-game
Seriously, just complete miracle meds. And why not? It’s a super-science setting. Stimpaks can totally just be magical coagulants and hemostasis/remodeling accelerators.
It’s very fun, I really *like* seeing the tech and stuff work just like it does in the games.
@@spiraljumper74 And she did stich herself up later.
@@spiraljumper74To be fair, I believe there is at least a vague explanation for how they work. Something to do with nanites and healing agents/stimulants.
@@spiraljumper74 It's great how they didn't felt the need to overexplain it or something too. It's just science magic injection that heals people and that's it. Gotta love when videogame adaptations don't dumb down to new audiences.
Yeah, they showed exactly as much as we needed
Lucy gets stabbed, jams a stimpack to keep fighting and later closes the wound that seems to have stopped bleeding,
So we get to see stimpack is not a miracle cure but rather a *very* good bandaid
I love the appearance of Junk Jet, it is undoubtedly my favorite reference, and they also nail the outfits of everyone, even the civilians.
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
True to Caesar
@@EdilbertFernandoNa, NCR forever.
I used to be an adventurer like you... wait, wrong game
Guess shady sands got the nuclear winter they wanted
@@elricofmelnibone8256 Oh you're being serious lmao Independent Vegas forever then
23:46 it's retro futurism basically with that 50/60s theme especially with emphasis on nuclear energy
Everyone talking about the voice actor for Jynx but no one talking about how Special Agent Dale Cooper is now the overseer of a vault.
Ella Purnell, Lucy McLean, is the voice of Jinx in Arcane!
Oh cool.
She was also great on yellowjackets.
Ohhhh that's why her name was familiar
she also plays another hopelessly indoctrinated miserable loser in Yellowjackets
I can totally hear it now! Never woulda known lol
As an Iranian who just watched episode 1 and in the middle of it, the war began, let me tell you, this sht is terrifying 😂
They really captured the vibe from the games to be honest. It could just be the music choices, but it feels so Fallout
If you played anything but fallout shelter, you’d know that no, they didnt capture shit
@@VDViktor is your life that miserable that you can’t even let other people enjoy things? Lol
@@Pointman138 Yeah I'm enjoying this. This visuals are awesome.
@@VDViktor You are clearly deranged if you don't think they captured the Fallout setting incredibly well.
@@ScimaradJust a hater, but let him give the channel some interaction with the comments 😅 the visuals/setting/tone is the best thing in this series (the plot is good, i have some nitpicks and uncertainty about some stuff, but i think they did an okay job, can't wait for season 2)
I don’t think this could’ve been better. Incredible 1st introduction to the fallout universe.
Back in 2008, when I was playing fallout 3, I never would’ve thought we’d get a quality live action series in the future.
What a time 😅
I love that the Guy that got cut in half took jet first. Its already a somewhat slow and painfull death but that just means he got it in slomo too.
Every single reaction, without fail, when Moldaver says " _everyone_ knows who I am", someone says "I don't (know who you are)!" and I love it
Oddly, Lee Moldaver was the name of a real California activist who died during Covid in an assisted living center, choking to death on his dinner after immediately after signing a DNR.
Is that true? Google didnt bring anything up
@@iremainteague5653 it is true. Try adding Obituary
"It's giving OJ" LOL Great timing.
They gotta find a cameo for Ron Perlman. Even if he doesn't get to drop the famous line, give him something!
I feel like if season 2 is indeed taking place majorly in [Spoiler for episode 8] I can see him fitting right in in that setting.
When I heared orange colored sky I felt the nostalgia hit me like a truck, enchanted evening was amazing too
2:44 Fun fact: Lucy is played by the woman who voiced Jinx in Arcane and yes, the Ghoul (aka the guy from the beginning of this episode) is played by the guy who voices Cecil in Invincible.
I don't care Im only a nerd for fallout not weeabu stuff. I apologise for the offence. But Japanese anime sends me to sleep and so does guys running round in spandex
@@mpb6491neither show is Japanese and as spandex goes invincible is one of does shows that demonstrates how shitty your heroes can be, the only thing that puts me to sleep is ignorance and you have plenty of that.
@@mpb6491 bruh, your ignorance is pathetic, if you didn't know Invincible, it's bloody brutal, fully uncensored
@mpb6491 invincible is made by the dude that did the walking dead. It's an amazing show.
@@Jooca03 superfan spotted. Yeah only ignorance of animation. Wow. Such a much needed thing In life. And arcane is westernised weeabu shit then. Same difference. With Spandex maybe I might like it if it makes a joke out of heroes.
War, War never changes.
3 episodes in, and it's turning out a lot better than what I was expecting. .. good stuff!
Me and my dad(who has never played the games) binged the whole show in a single day! It was pretty awesome!!
After EP 4, I was like "yeah, this video game adaptation is perfect". I can't wait for season 2
24:10 Ramin also did the music for Game of Thrones along with Westworld.
If he’s in charge of a show’s musical score, you know the music is going to be good!
Suraj is going to freak out when he sees "the Target"... 😅
I though the pictures were clear enough.😮
Season 4 of Westworld is honestly such a return to form.
This series does a great job with its setting and immersing the viewer into that universe. Other video game adaptations fail miserably at establishing that simple thing. It feels like we're watching a Fallout game. We're not watching what a producer who hasn't seen or played the videogame thinks the Fallout universe is.
To be fair almost all productions know how to do that it’s just sometime executive meddling or the person looks down on it and knows the budget can’t do it and just does whatever execs want or the execs don’t meddle enough. Sometimes it’s luck. Beetlejuice originally was said to be a bad idea for example. Also I see IMDb ratings with low scores saying the series doesn’t spoon feed enough aka lotta show don’t tell lol can’t win. Some critics also complain that too much is bloated in series and they need to slow down and have less overall. I can see people also annoyed by the setting. But yeah fans will like it. That’s what matters but you need non fans to like it so we get more
The whole 'Duck and cover' thing is allot more based in science and practicality than most think, obviously not going to save anyone in the blast zone but nothing would. Ducking and covering accomplishes a few things, 1: Prevents blindness and skin burns from the detonation flash, 2: Keeps people from panicking, 3: Prevents or at least reduces injury from glass and falling debris etc. from the subsequent shockwave which causes most of the damage/injuries.
I'm liking just based on singing an accapella of The Ink Spots.
And now to watch your reaction
PS New Vegas is def the best. I agree!
Shout out also to these great songs! "Crawl Out Through The Fallout" is a personal favorite
"The Wanderer" is mine ❤
Highly recommend JUSTIFIED. Walton and Mykelti (Bubba) both starred in the series and had a little reunion here. 🙂
god I hope they react to Justified
“You guys are conditioned” I believe this statement by marketa every time I see an intro like this one 😂
*Reverse card* She's the conditioned one
I know a little bit about the lore of Fallout, but have never played any of the games. With that being said, this first episode did an amazing job of roping us nongamers in. The style kind of almost reminded me of GoT. Introduce enough storylines so that everyone is almost guaranteed to find one they love, with great writing to make it all feel smooth.
Muldaver is kind of a perfect villain. She's not a big scene-hog but what little she shares creates so many questions. And she's a perfectly sympathetic if not heroic villain but they don't squander that in the beginning so you can believe anything about her you want.
"Shoes have always been a safe place"
*Laughs in Australian*
As someone who's never played the game i must say this is some great TV. We need more of this
This series was everything I hoped it could be!
best introo ever
The “The Good the Bad and the Ugly”. Call out was amazing, can’t bribe I didn’t realize it!!
Lucy: the good
Max: the ugly
Goul: the bad (based on his outfit).
Lucy McClane - Die Hard, Lucy MacLean - Fallout TV series
What surprises me while watching several reactions to episode 1 is that people do not realize during a nuclear war there would be more than 1 nuke. There are ICBM's with multiple warheads on each one.
So much for them uploading these quickly 🤣🤣🤣
Btw the song in the intro is the (ink spots I don’t want to set the world on fire) another great one is (maybe) by the same artists classic fallout tracks ❤
Don't jump in a pool during an explosion or a shock wave the water can carry the energy of vibrations really well. That's why you can kill fish by tapping on a glass tank. It would protect you from fire or radiant heat, up until the point the water starts to cook you instead. Basically just avoid nuclear war if you want to live a long healthy life.
I can’t believe you guys forgot about X Men ‘97!
I love this series already it feels just like the game
This made me so hyped for the Fallout: London mod coming out near the end of this (April) month
Just read that they're delaying it because of the next-gen update coming from Bethesda. I was sorely disappointed because like you I was really looking forward to it.
The way I saw Maximus’ story and the reasoning behind why they picked him next is because they knew he injured his friend because he was jealous. The brotherhood of steel isn’t a good organization. They want their soldiers to be willing to step on the heads of their comrades if it means they complete their mission. I felt like it was clear in all the games that the brotherhood of steel is a corrupt and toxic organization.
Didn't notice the end credits are loading screens for the following episodes!
suraj nailed that ink spots impression lol
The kid in the refrigerator is a Easter egg from fallout 4❤
"new vegas is obviously the best one"
that'll do Normies, that'll do
"In the pool" so the shockwave destroys your lungs
Lucy and her dad basically gave me Vander and Vi vibes from Arcane when he shoved Vi back into the room and gave himself up. Telling Benzo to not let her out. Rip Benzo and Vander❤
I love The ghouls, imagine Johnny guitar playing in the background.
5:19 This shot reminds me of the 3rd act of the '70's movie "A Boy and His Dog". It has Don Johnson and a telepathic dog that helps him find fertile women. I think it takes place in the distant future of 2024. That movie is nuts, if you haven't seen it.
They throw in a pretty obvious Easter egg to it in a later episode
Glad yall doing this. Fallouts one of my favorite games and I was surprised how good this series is and true to the game it is
“We three..we’re not a crowd….we’re not even company….my echo…my shadow…and me…”
11:40 "Holy FUCK! That was DIABOLICAL!"
The show was much better than I was expecting. I was singing along to all the great music
Who did it? I thought it was implied that Dane did it to themselves after a brief moment and then smiling by the bed.
Really?
This is the best thing that's happened to fallout since new Vegas. Lore wise and for all types of fans from each period. Words can't describe how perfect this was
Oh I love that intro!! Yall did it!!! I'm fallout 3, 4 and some 76
The Ghoul definitely has the Bloody Mess Perk
Literally was hoping for this reaction today
Perfect timing i literally just watched ep 1
Watch YELLOWJACKETS.
That’s where “Lucy” is from lol.
I never played a fallout game but this show has me hooked
LOL, I LOVE how big the stimpaks are.
That's Limehouse from Justified
Lucy is the textbook definition of "too pure for this world."
Chris and I must add one more thing to our OCD list of things to check for and worry about in general: boot razor blades.
I only started watching this show for Kyle MacLachlan. I needed more of him after finishing Twin Peaks a few days ago. I had a blast (pun intended) with this show and am very much looking forward to a S02!
Also, I think it's time for me to re-download Fallout: New Vegas and give it another try. I only played it for 1.5hrs, and spent most of that time trying to create a decent looking human being in the character creator lol
First time watching through Twin Peaks? It took me twenty seven years to finish it.... I started as a toddler, no lie, used to watch it while my mom napped... 😂
McLachlan as Det. Cooper is one of my favorite characters of all time.
Definitely need to give NC another go, any of the games, really! I am thinking about playing through NV again tonight. Cheers!
@@RealBradMillercheers to you, too!
I only started watching Twin Peaks last year after playing Alan Wake II. Reached 5eps into S03 and then took a break of multiple months. Returned to it and binged the rest in like... 2-3 days. Loved it all.
And yeah, once I sort some work stuff out (hopefully in about a month), I will try FNV again :)
I've been playing the Fallout games since the late 90s. I'm so happy it's finally realised as a series with some of my favourite actors.
I'd like one basement man cave with a Fallout bunker aesthetic please. Better monitors though.
The environments are so well thought out and executed. Theres a cave that looks a lot like Hopewell cave in 76, and Filly looks so much like Megaton. The vault layouts had me itching to loot all the med boxes for stimpaks.
I want every episode to start with yall doing a a capella. Second can't wait till someone realizes the Lucy is the voice actress for Jinx in Arcane.
Ahhh so glad you’re getting into this straight away, great crew for a great show, they did a fantastic job
76 may have had a horrible start but the game has improved over the years, it is more focused on the the level grind but it can be fun
7:21 THANK YOU, Chris!! No one’s mentioning Die Hard and it was all I could think of 😂
Just finished the show and omg it was so good i hope the shows continues and they dont let it die like they do all the other good shows over the years
Did spidy just say "this isn't a hotel this is your home"? 😂😂😂 Remind me to avoid hotel rooms you've been in mate @9:00
That opening ink spots tho 😎
"Shoes have always been a safel place" OMFG lol
Lisa Joy is Mrs. Jonathan Nolan so that’s why they always work together.
Honestly, I'm shocked Suraj didn't freak out at the Michael Emerson reveal.
Y’all need to get on X-men 97 wth 🤣
Show has me hooked! I will be watching it all weekend 🔥🔥🔥
Broooo lmaoo i love that she says "there rich people they probably uave a bunker right?" And both on the left just look at each other like 👀 If you know, you know 😂😂
😅 lol love the Boyz singing in the beginning
Such a awesome series loved it!!!! I got to play Fallout 3 and 4 again
I love Walton Goggins so much. Also, the bonding between vaults happens “tri-annually” she said which I assume earns every three years.
I played all those Fallout games and I can tell you this has its heart in it. It has the right horror-satire vibes and it's carefully crafted to fit with the games's lore and time line. It's good for people who haven't played games but at the same time it has tons of little details and easter eggs for us Fallout fans. Enjoy the ride.
"I also dont think you can walk around with a knife inside of you.." "HAVE YOU TRIED IT?!!!" 🤣 Great reaction as always everyone.
I loved the intro singing 🎶
Fun fact: There was a man who was stabbed through the skull and impaled in the brain. They left the knife in, cutting it and shaving it down, and the man lived happily every after 😂 (True story. Look it up.)
I just realized what the meaning of the choice (the leader of the raiders) in this episode gave to Lucy’s father. I can’t say without spoiling. I will say his choice to save Lucy over the many so quickly shows something about his character. It was just to prove that point. That’s why she didn’t kill everyone there.
That intro was actually really good
16:38 New fear unlocked
