WE CALLED IT THE UNDERBOARD!!! 😂😂😂
I call it a POS
There you are !!! 😂😂😂 “Game changer” they said …. Yeah we’ll see about that
Maybe should have been the OVERBOARD?
More like Overboard.
@@Dontdoitguy the mini titan!!
Should've just brought back Evinrude and figured out how to make a successful big HP outboard 🤷🏾♂️
The Evinrude G2 is a fantastic motor! So good at so many things. It’s a real shame it was shut down rite when it was starting to gain respect from the general public.
Take 2 1.9L G2’s and make an opposed piston 3.8L with those! Here’s a new Cummins ACE OP 2 stroke oil injected thingy. mart.cummins.com/imagelibrary/data/assetfiles/0058689.pdf
Let's submerge the engine! That will work well for dependability!! Also, pen distract with all the weight hanging out over past the transom, that will work well!
They should call it the “Hydro lock”.
Despite what some may think, assuming they keep it water tight such as lower units on stern drives have been, this is actually a superior idea. The weight of outboards is mostly aft of the transom anyways, but this keeps it down low where it should be. These should have been thought of sooner. Plus a swim platform across the transom possible.
It brought a smile to my face when they quit making Evinrude outboards! The few I’ve owned cost me a lot of money in repairs, straight up garbage!
They bought the name and tried to fix a bad design with bubble gum and flashy paint.
@@richardluce775 some of the most reliable motors ever made. idiot owners are the issue that cant be bothered with simple maintenance and fresh fuel.
My question is why waste money designing this submarine engine when they couldn't keep a decent conventional outboard on the market? Oh and the part about moisture sensors and seals and all that other BS sounds like a maintenance nightmare.
Agreed !!
That really is the question
You can still get a traditional outboard. But not with that large "max deck"
I agree 1000%.
An outboard engine that is 50% submerged under the water line, am I the only one that thinks this is a really stupid idea. I will stick with the standard 4-stroke outboard. Mom raised ugly babies, not stupid babies...
Yeah and 4 stroke are ugly! Tgey make good target practice!
Since when is an outboard a EYE SORE....they contradict themselves...by stating....."If it any broke don't fix it"
3 years and it will be off market. Couldn’t keep outboard ETEC alive so this is Dead before it starts.
They say it only needs to be serviced every 500 hours or 5 years however; they only warranty it for 3 years! What does that tell you. Another e-tech situation brewing! Run!!!😢
Got parts to build new motors but no parts for existing customers
I'll stick with my Ole Reliable 2 Stroke EVINRUDE XP 200. I like many Others was Pissed when BRP Stopped Production of Evinrude. I thought the Etec G2 was a pretty good Outboard from what I seen. Hopefully Evinrude will come back 😁😎
Apparently this IS an ETEC engine.
Bring back the ETEC s and G2 ' S please!
this is going to be a floop😆
Even though it’s mounted in an awful location I’ll take over any shitty 4 stroke any day. 2 strokes will be around for a long time! Lightning bolts and the sun are plasma 2 stroke entities!
water damage is almost guaranteed. Just bring back your outboards with greater dependability. BUT fix the know problems and test and test and test .
they did fix them. they were great. some issues with the g2s but were largely fixed with updates.
Are they gonna grenade left and right like the old etecs or what?
my 200 ficht still runs like new now lets talk about the optipops
The G2 that this motor is designed around was a fantastic motor with a very strong power head. It’s a shame they are no longer produced
@@JR-ho5qm if they were wonderful, warranty claims wouldn't have put them out of business
@@benblazek3305it wasn’t warranty claims, people started buying more four strokes and sales were dropping, they had also spent a heap of money designing a 300 ho and 350 just for COVID to hit as they finished it, but they couldn’t risk releasing it as it had unproved reliability at that point and during the economical crisis they couldn’t afford to release it without being sure. And basically the financial crisis due to lack of sales in vivid after they already had emptied their pockets slightly earlier, brp decided they weren’t profitable and said bye bye
@@SkiRacingOz funny cause a lot of their dealers say it was warranty claims
so outboards are now called "eyesores" lol. speaking of eyesores, this thing looks like you would open the top and take a dump in it. also, lets see you complain about an outboard when you cant even change a filter on this failure without taking the boat out of the water and removing the cowling.
That is going to be a epic failure. Should have brought back Evinrude. You should call water on board because the seal is going to fail. Yep it is called ghost, because that is what is going to happen to you the consumer when your third warranty claim goes unanswered due to water intrusion.
What about legality? I thought it was no longer legal to sell new 2 strokes in the United States?
If they meet epa emissions standards they can
It's never been illegal to sell a 2 stroke.
@@RLC2020 new.
@@rmiller334 still not illegal...
@rmiller334 look at new ski doo, arctic cat and yamaha snowmobiles, or ktm, husqvarna, gas gas, yamaha, kawasaki and Honda dirt bikes. Mostly 2 strokes being sold new in u.s.a.
Lol this would last like 3 years and get ruined in Minnesota. Too much loon crap and gunk in water. Two stroke = no go
Yeah no thanks
Wow BRP just keeps shooting themselves in foot. Give up on the 2-stroke. Most consumers don’t want a 2 stroke. This is going to be a HUGE flop….again and be a big detriment to AlumaCraft.
I love 2 strokes! How about a 3.8L OP 2 stroke made from 2 1.9 L g2’s like this Cummins 2 stroke mart.cummins.com/imagelibrary/data/assetfiles/0058689.pdf
U describe this engine as a 2 stroke. How would one mix fuel with no 2 stroke oil available in the market?
There's plenty of 2 stroke oil available. I go through 5 gallons every summer, you can buy it anywhere...
Literally anywhere, even walmart sells it by the gallon ffs
2 Stroke Oil is Still Available
Not only still available but in high quality synthetic.
Go get shell rotella sae 40w at tractor supply
imagine knowing Evinrude abandoned their motors and then you buy a rotax
I'll buy one, when it can run underwater......without the cover on!!!!
OMG..not BRB, they should make good anchors
2 stroke. Its 2023 for goodness sake.
BRP pulled the plug on Evenrude for a reason. Taking that same old crap and putting it under water is a joke 🤣🤣🤣
1st. Forget a 2 stroke. its a dead technology for the Chinese to keep alive. 2nd. This will be a nightmare to keep going for the long haul. Save your money and buy a yamaha or susuki or Mercury. And put it on a boat of your choice. This thing is a joke.
Dead technology I don’t think so.mart.cummins.com/imagelibrary/data/assetfiles/0058689.pdf Also lightning bolts and the sun are plasma 2 stroke entities!
No like from me ,they killed Evinrude ,to start this outboard brand, built in Europe !!
Glad its a 2 stroke, other than that, its kind of idiotic
No way, im not into submarine engines.
Who wants anything to do with brp lmao
This is a covid money laundering operation , terrible ... so let's recreate the awful etec motors and make a cowling that can't be removed
Tired of these computer generated voiceovers. No.
Total garbage. Buyer beware.
Dead product, epic fail.
This is a terrible design , it will be gone in 3 years
Oh my. This is an awful idea
