    @ananthar80 Před 3 lety

    Awesome! I wonder if these 12+ mph/ headwind KOMs are going to fall considerably once people start recruiting ebikes/ escooters to draft. Or is that considered not kosher?
    I'm guessing the only reason people didn't use "motor pacing" before is the exhaust fumes.

    • @DrakeDeuel
      @DrakeDeuel  Před 3 lety

      In my opinion drafting a vehicle would be cheating. There aren’t technically any rules for Strava, but drafting would be an enormous advantage and kind of ruin Strava if everyone started doing it.

    • @ananthar80
      @ananthar80 Před 3 lety

      But then a lot of KOMs already involve some drafting, either as part of a stage race or when training with teammates. More so for QOMs, a lot of which are set when training with male teammates.
      If batteries are where the line is drawn, you could find 6 other people of high fitness and have them take turns pulling/ jump in the chase car for rest :-D Someone is going to do it!

    Farther north, leave Bishop, CA, use the CCC road, at Tom's Place the Rock Creek Rd is a glacial canyon gets to 10,200ft paved, killer, always stopped for ice cream if the store was open.
