It’s always amazing how both Airbus and Boeing can have better fuel efficiency than each other, crazy how that works
🤣
That PR guy has probably given that same speech 100 times. That’s why they get the big money.
John Dyson knows his stuff. Well done that chap.
The cockpit of this 777-9 is more and more close to 787.
Indeed, and on purpose!
Don't be fooled by the display! It's actually nearly identical to the existing 777 in terms of buttons and controls to maintain commonality.
@@kangaroo5189 Ah ok, I was wondering if the 777 and 777x would have the same type rating
It definitely will! @@John_.Cabell_.Breckinridge
@@John_.Cabell_.Breckinridgeyes, and also the same type rating on the 787
773 is no doubt the best long haul airliner, looking forward to 777x
For passenger comfort, there is no plane that can compare to the A380 in terms of space, comfort, smooth flight and customer experience (e.g. bar, showers).
i thought the 777 cockpit without the brown color would look strange but this looks cool
its a 787 cockpit
Just miss the brown cockpit.
Nothing beats the famous Boeing diarrhea brown
found myself out of breath just by watching him, anyway great aircraft and video! hope i can fly it one day
The size of those screens on the cockpit are awesome !
Such a big plane but there are so few passenger seats and even parts of the interior are missing! Boeing is clearly cutting corners nowadays. I like that the passengers can see flight instruments though.
Hey I watched all your FSX movies since I was little! My favorite one was the Royal Jordanian fsx movie! such great times
Make sure the bolts are tightened 😅
Tbh the B747 is an Bad Aircraft
This is not the B737 MAX
Finally, I got to the Princess of the Skies Boeing 777X at Wings India 2024
Such a State of the art plane
Fascinating! Thank You for choosing Boeing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
watching this video just makes me more excited to see it in MSFS.
We extended the fuselage width by 4" for 10 abreast seating. Some airlines are already running this config so divide 4" by 7 seat armrest spaces and see what you get. Nothing noticeable at all. Increase that by a factor of 3 and it might actually be comfortable but I'm sure then the airlines would just squeeze in another row. Sardines.
Blame it on the airline, not Boeing…..or buy business class…..or go by car
If you fly a lot you should know that 17/17.5/18/18.5 in. seat width have a huge difference. The number may not seem big but 4/10 inch is decent improvement. And definitely blame the airline for this... Boeing designed the 777 to be 3-3-3 and 787 to be 2-4-2... see what the airlines did to them
There are nicer seats at the front, some passengers choose comfort some choose economy
Nice to see the old brown flight deck is a thing of the past, was never a fan of that, the grey/black looks much nicer
Thank's you for this informations
please tell that this aircraft don't have MCAS
The cockpit looks great
Боинг-777Х новый король воздуха
777 is the plane o chose if i can when going on a trip, even if it some more bucks to pay, the take off is worth it all, remember a flight with 777-300ER the take off was a kick in the back
That was probably the person behind you
8:15 "Pilot as well as first officer" as if they arent both pilots
He was nervous poor guy.
He speaks so fast!
So the 777x is just a 777 with a 787 cockpit
Love all the 1950s retro stuff. Those big driving wheels and cables. And keeping the original fuselage, pure genius. I’m sure they also kept the same cramped interior and all the genuine 1950s noise and vibrations. Pure magic Boeing.
I take it you’re not a fan then.
The 777 is a 1990s design which isn’t old for an airframe
You had me in the first half ngl
Any news about “ electronic flight bag”? I can see that there are iPads where EFB’S should be .
Increasingly, the question seems to be “can it stay together?”
Need this in xplane12!
He mentioned how its wider then the original 777...but that means the airline that purchases the 777X will just add more seats! So nothing will change in regards to passengers comfort! They will still be cramped in.
No, that not how it would work. The cabin width is wider, so the configuration 3-4-3 would be more comfortable like the a380, for example. But not that wide enough so they could add another more seat. That would definitely be too much for everything.
This comment makes absolutely no sense.
It will still be a 3-4-3 configuration. Just with more space. There's not enough additional width to add an extra seat.
you know the comment is dumb when the first reply has more likes than the actual comment
No dumb dumb, you can’t seat 11 abreast.
Noticed the extra hydraulic pump switches compared to the older 777. So not going 787 style then?
is that Windows 7 ?
looks great....but have the door plug bolts been tightened?? and checked?
8:47 I didn't see American Airlines or United, are they not going to fly the 777X?
They haven't ordered them yet, oddly enough no US airline has ordered the 777x
I wonder if Spirit Aerospace will have quality issues building this airplane like they do with the 737 Max....
Spirit manufactures a number of flight critical components for Airbus planes; including the A350 fuselage.
Will this share a type rating with the older 777 or will it be different
Yes, it will take about 4-5 days transition training
Honest/curious question - what happens if they forget to flip the wingtip switch before takeoff?
Master Warning Alert on the EICAS - 777X Test Pilot had said this in one of Sam Chui's reviews of the 777x
Alarms and lights go off. Plane can probably still takeoff without the wing tips if all else somehow failed.
@@baileyjones159idk, i think they would snap off due to them not being built to function as wingtips
Not to worry, the aircraft would fly just fine, there's more than enough lift being produced. You'd have a significantly increased fuel flow though so you wouldn't make it to your destination if you wanted to. In any case, it's engineered so that you can't "forget".
How do they long term prove touch screen reliability? Any touch screen I’ve ever seen is sometimes unpredictable.
You can still see the old manual selector control, so there's that if the touch screen fails
How many hidden software in this aircraft?
No many hidden software in this aircraft
Become a pilot and see for yourself.
But has Boeing mastered the manufacturing process that verifies fasteners are installed correctly? Or not so much?
Comes with loose bolts as well.
This ain't the B737 MAX
I wouldn't want to be one of the firsts to fly in those. Brings back memories of 737 Max
He said it has a bigger wingspan than any other commercial aircraft in the world… Idk about that. Pretty sure the a380 has a much bigger wingspan.
@Tavarish21, He is correct! The 777 x wingspan measures 72.80m. The A380 is 64.75m. The wing area for the 777 x is 516.72 m2. The A380 is 443 m2. Even the hight of the 777x is greater than the A380.
@@Gr3harrier you’re looking at the a350 pal. Maybe you wanna look up what an a380 is before you comment.
@@Gr3harrier A380 has 79.8m wingspan. 64.75 m is A350.
@@will6287 You're right.
a380 is a beast!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Might as well call It 787-11
Why does it have a shorter range than the A350?
Because it's significantly larger.
It’s larger which means it’s heavier which means less miles per gallon
I hope the 777x won't have that many flaps settings
....................why?
Dear @Boeing for all the high-tech technology, pls check the screws on Emergency exit..
This is not B737 MAX, chill
Everything is ready now expect the engines?
My favorite plane,she's a butte
No EFBs 😔
Built in ones even on the 787 are slow and use old hardware because they are part of the aircraft have to be specially certified. It's easier to use and update tablets both in hardware and software
@@tomstravels520 It’s easier but not exactly practical. Removing the EFB will also remove the video functionality. Supposedly this will get moved to the lower display, meaning the CDU functions we usually have there will get moved. We already use tablets at our airline for charts and manuals. The hardware has never been powerful enough for much of anything.
@@skyserf you can already see the external camera views at 7:08 so possible internal ones can be displayed there too
@@tomstravels520 External cameras are a nice addition. Current 787s don’t have them. The video I’m talking about is the area immediately behind the flightdeck door. We use it to see if someone is ready to come to the flightdeck or if the flight attendants are blocking it for us to come out. That video is usually displayed on the EFB during flight, occasionally we display an enroute map there.
Lets hope it flies, bolts are screwed and them wing tips don't come off. Its Boeing, we can expect anything from them these days...
If it's a Boeing, I ain't going! 😂
Qantas needs these to replace their troublesome a380’s
Why? What have you heard?
@@howward4071 half the Qantas a380 fleet is stuck in the Middle East awaiting heavy maintenance (the media reported 2 planes have been there for 2 years).
What’s the point of paying for a grounded fleet??
Since Geoff Dixon a number of Qantas CEO and boards have said no to the 777-300, the 777x plane is realistically it’s their only option (for an a380 replacement) unless they purchase the Boeing 747-800.
There is a lot turbulence over WA, SA, Indonesia, Fiji, Hawaii, Texas, Jo’Burg, Thailand, Dubai, San Francisco and Singapore so the 777x wing design was perfectly designed to counter that issue and provide smoother flying
They're already gonna replace it with the A350 and 787 to replace their A330's
@@_joapa The a350 is a lot smaller than the 777x, the 777x is the only replacement to the a380 and 747. It’s huge advantage (with the folding wings) is it can enter any airport that excepts a a330 or 767 size jet. 747-800 and a380 can not do this. 777x has a much better freight capacity compared to a 350, and not doubt Boeing has added longer range fuel tanks in a ER version of the 777x to ensure the a350-1000 ER tanks are not an issue.
the 350-1000 and -900 is a great jet, the 777x is going to be a step shift better
Stretching the 737 and putting bigger engines was a bad idea. Doing the same with 777 while adding folding wingtips isn’t? I hope not but we won’t know until it’s flying paying passengers!
I’m guessing that you’re not an engineer
OLD BODY NEW WINGS. NOT NEW PLANE. It wont last. THE A350 1000 WILL BE BEST SELLER.
That tour would have been great and only half as long if the guide hadn’t stumbled over every other word.
They removed that ridiculously useless joystick, which is very nice.
I mean Boeing airliners never had joysticks in the first place.
such a wide body, still the cockpit feels super narrow... so narrow in fact they couldn't put the adi on the same vertical reference as the mfd... making the way for the eyes during visual flying even longer.... and still engine fata removed from one pilot. I do love these huge windows but simply from a cockpit view: A350 wayy ahead of boeing...
The flight deck isn’t narrow at all, it’s very spacious.
I forget…is this the POS that crashes, killing hundreds, ‘cause Boeing’s gross negligence? Asking on behalf of those who no longer can.
Dude needs to come up for air. All his sentences run into each other
Why they couldn't adjust the glare shield to have the PFD & MFD at the same level I don't know. Sloppy lazy Boeing.
The evidence is that you don’t know, so the only conclusion you can draw is… you don’t know
It still outdated cos of old joystick as airbus is easier with one hand plus more room for front legs.
It's called a yoke
Real pilots fly with a yoke. Computer operators that pretend to be pilots use a joystick.
@@DontUputThatEvilOnMe even the old B777 is full fly by wire. The yoke just mimics the old days. The yoke is just an oversized "joystick" between the legs.
If that's the criteria, all B777 and B787 pilots are just "pretend pilots" if you want to call them that.
I guess you know the pilots on these planes today are there for the passengers comfort and problems that come up. These planes fly themselves. Even the flight plan is loaded in automatically. Landings can be an auto landing. Yoke or stick
I like room for my front legs 😂
Hope that maintenance wise the 777x is way better than the B787... B787 is just pure dog shit aircraft...
I love FAA, fu** 777x, that’s just a death machine
Please explain in detail how you have come to the conclusion that an aircraft that has not even flown paying passengers yet is a "Death Machine"
and don't use the whole 737 Max argument as that's a completely different aircraft with entirely different systems
@@lordthompson3868 350 victims produced by Boeing’s corners cutting and denied certifications do not need any proof, just respect for victims, relatives and a special hug to the ones preventing the same assassins to strike again needs no further explanation
go to sleep dude
@@markfosseth8047 ok i understand but this plane does not need software because it wasnt a fucked up idea to begin with unlike the MAX
@@markfosseth8047 So in short, you cant explain why the 777X is a "Death Machine" got it 👍
Engineered to kill out of racist spite. Did they ever get around to fixing the possibility of the back half of the thing rupturing under ridiculously low amounts of pressure?
he says competition, but there is no competition, the a350-1000 was made more or less around the same time and even later and has more systems and features than this tho, also they are the innovators of new tech and systems to be put on commercial planes without fail and that is cause airbus are just better at what they do. Id gladly shut peoples mouth, the 777x is beautiful but lets bet honest airbus has always been first, and at least the neo doesnt crash or pilots complain how shit it is to fly
****another great product by Boeing…..it’s practical…..pretty soon, we’ll begin to see folding winglets from AIRBUS…..again, AIRBUS COPY-CATS…..however, it won’t be called folding winglets…..it’ll be called something like “dolfinlets”, as opposed to the non-folding “sharklets”……again, another copy-cat product by AIRBUS…..lol lol😂😂….lets face it, copy-cat Airbus products are inferior to Boeing*****
Yeah its not copy cat its called innovation boeing copys from airbus Boo Ho get over it
Uhhh, a little fanboy
Being a raging fanboy isn't a good look bud, both Airbus and Boeing are aviation giants who have both contributed hugely to the aviation market each with there own innovations, Boeing have taken just as much inspiration from Airbus as Airbus have taken off Boeing, comments like this are just moronic tbh
No…..sorry to burst your Euro bubble……Airbus was created after Boeing……fact…..and Airbus products are built after Boeing, just to rival Boeing…..B747 was in production for over 45 years….ehike the A380 was a huge, huge loss and in production for just 8 years…..I’d love for Airbus to keep producing the A380, so that they can keep racking up more billions of loss, only to be paid by European taxpayers…..so sorry for Airbus fans😂
