I really think this upcoming offseason will determine the direction of the Bruins going forward. Do they try to ride this aging core to one last Stanley cup some more? Or do they accept that this core can’t get it done anymore and start over? I think what happens with Krejci and Rask is key to the direction they go. Most likely they both get discounts from what they were making before. Halak is most likely gone this year with Vladar outplaying him and Swayman tearing it up in Providence. Rask will probably use his last few years to teach Vladar and Swayman before passing the torch to them.

Their training staff, nutritionists, personal trainers, doctors and surgical staff is incredibe. The sky is the limit to how far a player can take advantage of. I can only reflect a little around the team I follow most, Preds, and only with cap hit as an argument. As with many of today's teams, Preds
struggle with a number of these 6 year contracts in the area of ca $7M or more. Of our bluechips, only Josi with 9 delivers close to the expected payback.
Guys like Johansen/8M and Duchene/8M are nowhere close to expected results. Forsberg/6M is relatively cheap as a bluechip, but he also is
on the borderline of underperforming. Again, as with many teams, we simply do not have a 1.line that delivers up to expected level.
The reason why Preds got back into PO position again is first and foremost due to insane goaltending by Saros and great grit and defence by our
secondary lines. Kudos to our 4.line-'The Herd', which lead by Sissons must be one of the best 4.lines in the league right now.
As usual, our D-men are doing fine, with Ekholm as our sergeant-major in Josi's absence, and more working their way up the roster.
The D-core and knowledge thereof is the pride and tradition of the Nasville Predators as a franchise
