13 Mini chassis would be the dream for the SE 4th gen

@@ijackie3420 remember when the original SE (1st Gen) came out with the features of the 6s fit inside the body of a 5s? I still have one of those. So, yeah, continuing the tradition and considering the 2nd and 3rd gen SE had the same display size as the mini and also considering the fact that 6.1" is the standard size of an iPhone, the 4th gen SE could very well come out in the body of a 13 mini. That has been the legacy of the SE. And it'll be awesome if that happens. So just shut your trap.

I’d rather have it be a 13 mini, but with a larger battery in exchange for losing the ultra wide. Newer chip and 6GBs of memory. $500 for 128 GB. Bruh.
Always assuming they PUT 6g ram in it. Since it's an SE, they could stay with 4. Hope I'm wrong.

the appeal of the mini is that it's very close to the flagship in terms of spec. The SE is supposed to be "budget".
@@ShaferHartI’m using the 12 mini and in 2023 it’s far from flagship. Battery life never was… Either way, it’s not the price it’s the weight and screen size that matters. Don’t need pro res video, I want it to fit in my pocket and not feel it’s in it.
If the single lens camera on iPhone SE 2024 were to have that night mode photography, I would be happier.

I love the SE series so much because of its very very compact, thin and extremely lightweight design. If the SE 4 is going to be released in the iPhone 14's body, I'm gonna upgrade my SE 2 to the SE 3, period.
What about the battery life
@@carbonated_milk9903 My current SE 2 with 79% capacity, lasts around 3-5 hours on continuous use, all day on very light use. Not only that, I carry a tiny, compact, and lightweight magsafe power bank, that I just place in the back of the phone and use em normally whenever I need to charge. My brother has the SE 3 and his phone lasts like 4-6 hours on continuous use.
Regardless, battery isn’t an issue for me, it’s the weight and size that I’m looking for here.
I would go for:
- iPhone 14 SE mini
> 6 GB's of RAM
> 48 Mpx in RAW as it is in Pro models, but delete ultrawide camera
> .. and so deleting ultrawide camera, then put ~15-20% bigger battery.

Now, why tf would Apple make the SE literally the same size as the base iPhone models? 💀 The older chassis of the X-11 Pro and especially the 12/13 minis are right there! You know, the normal sized phones and not the phablets.
I love the asthetics of having one rear camera. Also i wish they add a single front facing camera instead of the face id notch. And add finger print reader in the power button
Keep a physical sim too just like the SE2022, 13series. These can still add all the esims the 14/15 series can.
I have a 13 mini right now. If the SE4 becomes what it's rumored, im switching. Love the mini format but really could use some more battery daily. The single camera is absolutely OK to me if its at least the same main camera as the 14.

The SE 4 stands for the 4-year-old iPhone 12 with tweaks which is similar to the original SE 1 back in 2016, also recycled from the then-4-year-old iPhone 5 with tweaks

Just use the mini body for the SE. Come on, Apple, it's the painfully obvious decision here. The mini was the most exciting product Apple made in years, and its lack of success was entirely due to them not knowing how to successfully market it.
I use an XR as my 2nd iPhone alongside my 13PM. I’ll def change to that SE4 and 15PM. Perfect duo.

I have the iPhone 14 Pro and it has poor battery life, screen scrolling problems and some other bugs and random overheating. Should I trade in to the the 15 Pro Max or keep the 14 Pro and instead get a cheaper 13 Pro from eBay or parallel importer store, or wait for the 16 Pro?
I currently have the 14 but I’m due an upgrade next year. Tempted to go for the SE4 as I remember enjoying the SE as my first iPhone. Plus it wouldn’t cost as much on contract

Apple should just use the iphone 13 mini body, add touch id like on the ipad mini, a larger battery, either single or dual camera, eirher oled or nice LCD panel. Thats it proce it at $479 or $500. They could make it bigger using the iphone 11 pro body a 5.8 inch screen versus 5.4 inch screen.

How badly do you need a new phone. If you can wait, sure why not. But also se4 is not “confirmed”.
No solid release date or window just a general idea. And roughly speaking its a end of 2024-early 2025 phone.
If you can wait 1-1.5 years yeah se4 is fine but also by then a 14/15 would be cheap too. So pick your battles and weigh your time concerns
