    Dear dr. Raj Vedam,
Incase you are not aware. You are what we over here in America call a Patriot. A Patriot to your beliefs. Who stands rock solid for truth in all things. Those things that in everyone's center of being must be said. And those with ears to hear can join with. Please don't expend your valuable time yelling at the mountains when the rocks at your feet are looking up at you. Bedrock is before you and mountains are there to crumble in their time.
I also am a fan of Sadhguru and in your way I say. BLESSINGS BE UPON YOU 🙏 From a simple Christian soul

I am a 66 year old resident of midwest USA. I find all that was said compelling in the extreme. I did not learn this in school unfortunately, but by self study came to believe this thesis long ago. I was surprised and saddened to learn that in India itself these ideas must struggle to be heard. Thank you for taking your free time to do this work. While it is probably more worthwhile to inform a young mind, I remain grateful, as an old man, who as a young reader, tried to imagine that of which you speak. Thanks again.

The Aryan invasion theory according to the British was that ancient Aryans invaded India at about 1500BC, driven out the Dravidians from their land, have imported the Hindu civilization along with the Sanskrit language from the steppes of central Asia (Kuhn, 1845, Max Muller, 1878, Childe, 1926, Elst, 1999; Trautmann, 2005). The theory was the justification for the British occupation of India. Although there was no archeological evidence to support this theory, it has become the most important doctrine on ancient Indian history. However, some recent archeological discoveries in India, Russia, and Japan have pushed back the antiquity of the Aryans to at least 9000 BC and proved beyond doubt that the ancient Aryans were not nomadic tribes from central Asia but had very advanced urban civilizations.
India was possibly the original home of the Aryans. From India, the Aryan language and other languages of Aryan affinity came into existence due to the contact between the migrating Aryans and non-Aryans out of India (Mazumdar, 1917). The Vedic literature was the expression of the highly developed thoughts of the Aryans. If the Aryans had come to India from outside it would be natural to find some traces of their thoughts and literary activities in some of the places through which they had traveled. However, no such record has been discovered at any place. To suggest that the Aryans had attained the highly developed literary and intellectual acumen after coming into India does not justify the absence of any record whatsoever in any of the places through which they had traveled into India.
Genetic Evidence for Westward Indo-Aryan expansion
Recent DNA evidence shows that Europe experienced a massive population influx from the east, beginning around 4,500 years from the present. Several haplogroups were involved in this expansion, including the Indian-origin R1a1a. This was almost a total replacement event, which indicates that Indo-Aryans, among others, expanded westward into Europe and to a large extent, replaced indigenous European males and their Y-chromosome strata (Sharma and his associates, 2009)
This genetic evidence indicates that several Y-chromosomal (patrilineal) lineages, one of which was the Indian-origin R1a1a, gave rise to the modern European population. Out of these lineages, R1a1a is the most widespread and numerous.
    1. The R1a haplogroup originated in India.
    2. The Indo-Aryan people have lived in India for at least 15,450 years, which invalidates the theory that the Indo-Aryans invaded India 3,500 years ago.
    3. The hundreds of millions of members (possibly over a billion) of the R1a family living across the world today - a very large fraction of humanity - are all descended from one single male ancestor who lived in India at least 15,450 years ago.
This discovery demonstrates the close genetic (and hence linguistic and cultural) affinity of Indians with the Russian and Polish people, the Vikings and Normans, and with the ancient Scythians and Tocharians, among many others (Sharma et al, 2009).
This is irrefutable scientific proof that not only did the Indo-Aryan people originate in India over 15,450 years ago, but also that they expanded out of India and settled in lands far to the west in Europe. It thoroughly invalidates the AIT (Aryan Invasion Theory) and AMT (Aryan Migration Theory).
Literary Evidence for Westward Indo-Aryan expansion
Consider the Baudhayana Shrauta Sutra, a Vedic text. Baudhayana Shrauta Sutra @ records:
“Amavasu migrated westward. His people are Gandhari, Parsu and Aratta.”
This refers to a Vedic king called Amavasu, whose people are the Gandhari (Gandhara - Afghanistan), the Parsu (Persians) and the Aratta, who are tentatively identified as living in the vicinity of Mt. Ararat, which is located in Turkey (eastern Anatolia) and Armenia.
Afghanistan (Gandhara) was historically part of the Indian civilization until the Islamic invasions. The name “Persia” comes from the ancient Parshva people (an Aryan clan). The word “Parshva” is derived from the Sanskrit/Avestan (Old Persian) word “Parshu”, which means “battle-ax”. There are clear linguistic and cultural similarities between India and Persia.
The traditional Armenian name for Mt. Ararat is Masis. It is named after the legendary Armenian king Amasya. The name “Amasya” is linguistically related to the name “Amavasu” of the Indian king recorded in the Baudhayana’s Shrauta-Sutra. This establishes literary evidence for the westward expansion of Indo-Aryans, via Afghanistan, to Persia, Armenia and Anatolia.
The ancient kingdom of Mitranni, of the people who used to worship Mitra, the Vedic God, located in present-day Syria and Anatolia, had an Indo-Aryan, Sanskrit-speaking ruling class. Mitranni kings had Indo-Aryan names. The oldest recorded (Vedic) Sanskrit words are found in a horse training manual by a Mitranni horse master named Kikkuli. Although the text is written in the Hittite language, it appears that Kikkuli was not familiar enough with that language to use technical terms, which made it necessary for him to use the terminology of his own language (Vedic Sanskrit) instead.
Inscribed clay tablets discovered in Boğazkale, Anatolia (Turkey), record a royal treaty and invoke the Vedic gods Indra, Mitra, Nasatya & Varuna by the Hittites, another Indo-European tribe, as witnesses. The Boğazkale clay tablets are dated to about 1380 BC. This is around the same time as Kikkuli’s horse training manual.
The Mitranni and Hittites belonged to the Indian-origin haplogroup R1a1a. This is clear evidence of a large-scale westward expansion of Sanskrit-speaking Indo-Aryans, and their presence as the ruling aristocracy in lands thousands of kilometers west of India.
    The children of Goddess Danu.
The primordial Rig Vedic river goddess Danu is the mother/progenitor of the Danava clan of Indo-Aryans. The Danavas revolted against the Devas and were eventually defeated and got banished. As it turns out, that was far from the end of their story. The word dānu means “fluid, drop” in Rig Vedic Sanskrit. The Avestan (old Iranian) word for “river” is “dānu”. The Scythian (Saka/Shaka) & Sarmatian words for “river” are also “dānu”.
Now consider this: linguistically, the names of the European rivers Danube, Dnieper, Dniestr, Don, Donets, Dunajec, Dvina or Daugava, and Dysna are all derived from the Rig Vedic Sanskrit root word “dānu”. These rivers flow across eastern & central Europe. These rivers, all named after the Rig Vedic goddess Danu, seem to trace the gradual westward migration through Europe of the Danava clan of Rig Vedic Indo-Aryans.
According to Irish & Celtic mythology, the Irish & Celtic people are descended from a mother goddess - a river goddess - called Danu. The ancient (mythological) people of Ireland are called the Tuatha Dé Danann (Old Irish: “The peoples of the goddess Danu”).
Is there genetic evidence to support this story? As it turns out, there is. The R1a1a haplogroup is rare in Ireland, at 2.5% of the population. This can be explained by the fact that Ireland has suffered many invasions since the Bronze Age, which would have led to the gradual replacement of the R1a1a haplogroup with those of the various invaders. The fact that R1a1a is still present in Ireland proves that people of Indo-Aryan origin settled there in the past (Sharma et al, 2009).
Elsdon Best (1972) in his book wrote that the ancestors of a tribe Tuhoe in New Zealand came from India via Peru. DNA tests on some of them proved the origin of their ancestors. They said that they traveled from India after the Mahabharata war to New Zealand. Thus, the story of Manu dividing up the world among his sons maybe not a myth. (@
In a report published in Nature, a group of scientists and archeologists of the ASI (Archeological Survey of India) and IIT (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur) proved that the cities of Indus valley were at least 9000 years old, not just 3500 years. The cause of the decline was not any Aryan invasion, but a continuous lack of rainfall since that 9000 years when most rivers dried up. That might have caused the outward migration of the Aryans from India (Sarkar, 2016).
(This is quoted from our (Victoria Miroshnik and Dipak Basu), forthcoming book, Ethics, Morality and Business, to be published by Palgrave-Macmillan. )

As Sanjeev Sanyal said we need to create our own narrative, our own Indo-Centric system. This is better use of energy than trying to bring down someone else's system. Just like China doesn't accept Western narratives but goes ahead with its own idea of itself and the world. India too is getting economically developed and we can soon finance our own narrative with scholars working on it.
One other good way to do this is to have more archeological excavations that can be used to take the ancient history of India further back. This will also have the side effect of shaking up the current Western narrative.

Good points raised on the floor. Sanjeev Sanyal's observation about the need for a systematic writing of a new narrative is being addressed by the research-based publications of Rajiv Malhotra's Infinity Foundation. Rather than re-invent any wheel, I am of the opinion that enhancing the momentum built by Rajiv has a large audience within India as well as internationally.
Political hijackings are common in India and I am positive that self-publishing in this e-reading age is should provide a very strong counter-measure.

A Quaternary Geologist by profession I superannuated from GSI in 2014. Over the years I have come across bits and pieces of all that you have spoken off in such a comprehensive manner and have all along suspected that there was much that was wrong in what we had been given to understand. I also feel that there is still a formidable opposition that needs to be overcome before the truth is allowed to be accepted. I say this from personal experience as I find that the Quaternary Geological Mapping carried out by GSI over a period of 25 years (1970 to 1995) and the first proper compilation of which in the form of a Quaternary Geological Atlas with a uniform stratigraphic code, has been kept hidden from public view even though it was cleared for publication by the Director General of GSI in 2014.

Sanskrit never originated in India. It belongs to Indo
European Language. It was brought from outside invaders, that is the reason why
Indus Valley Civilization scripts are still not deciphered.
DNA analysis clearly indicate that most of the North Indians
& Brahmins in entire india are genetically more closely related to middle
east people.Rig Veda provide evidence of Aryan invasion " Oh Indra
you killed and chased out the black skinned short people ( Dravidian?) from
Indus" ..Rig veda is a version of Iranian or Aryan "Vendida " a text of Zoroastrian.Aryan Invasion Theory (AIT) must be evidence based not
emotion or Hindutuva mission based. Irrespective of AIT is
true or false, we Indians love each other live peacefully with diversity of
religions and races. Thats the greatness of India the world must learn from

Following are the reasons why Aryan Invasion/Migration Theory
      is True.
DNA analysis clearly indicate that most of the
North Indians & Brahmins in entire India are genetically more closely
related to middle east people. The oldest haplogroup in India were O2a, found among the Austroasiatic peoples. Haplogroup H with Dravidians invaded O2a. And finally the Indo-Europeans haplogroup R invaded Dravidians. The north Indians has more Caucasoid and the south Indians more australoid in their genetics.
Most of the North Indians burn the dead bodies
traditionally whereas Indus Valley people clearly followed burial systems. This indicates that they are different from present people of North India.
Indus Valley people had constructed their
drainage system on very scientific lines. Whereas so called Aryans have followed “Defecating in open system”. That is the reason even today nearly 50% Indians don’t have toilets.Sanskrit never originated in India. It belongs
to Indo European Language. It was brought from outside invaders, that is the reason why Indus Valley Civilization scripts are still not deciphered. Sanskrit was first recorded in inscriptions found not on the plains of India but in in what is now northern Syria. And I find nothing wrong in it. Entire Human History has always been
      like that.

    • @anilsep27

Vedas most likely originated somewhere in Modern Day Iran or Afghanistan. Rig veda is a version of Iranian or Aryan "Vendida " a text of Zoroastrian. The oldest name mentioned of this river in Avesta is Haraxvaiti, a cognate to Sanskrit Saraswati River. Hence it is Helmand River which is mentioned in Rig Vedas Saraswati River.
A study published in Science magazine puts forward evidence that most Indo-european / Indo-Aryan languages including Sanskrit originated from a language spoken in Anatolia, part of modern Turkey, 8000 to 9500 years ago. Indians in general are people with mixed race. Even though The north Indians has more Caucasoid and the south Indians more australoid in their genetics. So all these mixing must have happened at some point of history.History should be written based on evidences and only on
evidences. Until 1800's, No one know the existence of Dinosaurs. Now Everyone know that they existed because of the fossil evidence. Do you have any concrete evidence to prove??
Well, Argument may never end...... Whatever the truth may
be, World History books agrees & teaches in schools & Colleges that
Aryan Invasion Theory is correct and says that Sanskrit belongs to one of the Indo European Language Group which originated in somewhere in Anatolia (Modern Day Turkey). Whereas in India, It says that AIT is incorrect and Sanskrit is the mother of all languages.

If they accept the Hindu concept of cyclical nature of things, them they would understand the value of the past. In other, if you want to know where you are going, then you must know where you came from. "That which was, is ; that which is, will be; that which will be, was, but will be again."

"The Holy Science" book mentions that our Sun with its planest revolves around its twin Star Alcyone and both Sun and Alcyone orbits around the centre of Galaxy which in Vedic term is called Vishnunabhi. Sun and Alcyone when closer to the center of Galaxy the radiation energy is higher (Satyuga) and when they are at the farthest the radiation energy is at the lowest (Kalyuga) in between you get the other yuga cycles. Also, there is a direct correlation to the human DNA mutation due to light (energy, radiation, photon) whatever you want to call it which means that when we are closer to Vishnunabhi and exposed to a lot of radiation out DNA mutates and humans evolves into more than what we are today and vice versa.

The British policy of Divide and Rule has done so much harm and damage and it is still '(working') ongoing in India. The British devised the Aryan invasion theory to do exactly this and the Southern Indians are still 'dancing' to this british tune. Scientifically there is no difference in our DNA and we should remove this idea that we are different from each other. The difference in looks is on the surface and due to some mutation. The Northern Indians have a similar problem with the cast system. The Hindu scriptures are clear in stating that the class system relates to the personality and behaviour of a person and not where they are born or the type of work one does. it is time people change their mindset and move on.

A very informative and interesting talk, and so well prepared and delivered. thank you.
Some thoughts in disagreement with interpretation or viewpoint may be permitted.
I caution against the revolt against having been overrun by the West by going overboard and making India the source of everything. Certainly a lot needs to be clarified and acknowledged. But keep in mind, that we move in successive approximation to recover the past and I do believe it will be wise to state India is ancient indeed and much knowledge came from there. You can do this without turning around and denying other populations their own antiquity and perhaps star guidedness. there seems to be a spirit in much of the world today for peoples to claim ancient or old knowledge in the process of throwing off the yoke of Europe. You also observed that even Europe is throwing off its own misperceptions of its own past. How much European history and wisdom was destroyed by the church, by the burning of the wise women, the harsh punishment for remembrance of the old ways. This goes for the native peoples of the Americas, where there existed great cities, even along the Amazonas River, and also for Australians, who have just recently been proven to have practiced highly specialized agriculture, far from being simple hunter gatherers - and who knows what else they knew or know! Let us work to discover truth, but without intent to prove ourselves, whether Indian, American, African etc to be the best and most ancient of all. such thoughts seem to me to be not truth centered but an extreme reaction to suppression and they will lead to yet further errors, I fear.
As a lay person, European, with great interest in history and a love for India as well as other wise folk around the globe, I never even as a child thought of India as anything other than very very old, and as time went on and various sites were discovered, I understood that my sense of antiquity was being proven though my own sense of it was always still that it was older yet. (Something that I also sensed about Egypt long before it was discovered the sphinx has to be at least 10 000 years old, and even about Europe which could not have arisen out of complete ignorance to building cathedrals over night, not even with stolen wisdom) Reading Mahabharata I don't care when they were written down, it clearly goes back to a time when people were of a totally different caliber and thus I believe more than 12ooo years ago, the time when mysterious great structures were made that withstood the flood of that time. You do not mention that date. I am noticing that Graham Hancock's work is being struck from CZcams like many other things regarding ancient history. He also has searched for proof of very ancient India. Not all europeans are eager to discount indias contributions. Please do not return blow for blow and generalize upon us today what was done in the past and what some people worried about the status quo for their careers may still be doing.
However, I do not think that you effectively disprove an Aryan invasion, if you have to call it that. I was never ever taught that it was an invasion in any case, rather a migration, and not from the west in general, but rather from a point north of Iran, through Iran and from there spreading both East and West, forming such tribes as Celts and Germanics and Slavs to the East and India´s peoples to the East. On both ends there were others already present, and never was I taught (I am now 70) that the people already there were conquered or destroyed or that they contributed nothing to the civilization that blossomed, although it does appear after all, that the ruling class tended to be light skinned long before the British came to India, so you can't rightfully lay that at their admittedly dirty doorstep.. In Europe we now are finding that here also there was a mixing more than a conquering, alsthough one group did become dominant - how exactly we do not know. I do have Neanderthal blood in me, which seems to turn out be far from primitive, but rather artistic and peace oriented. What a surprise. And ancient. Not comparing with India, just saying there is more to it all perhaps. In any case, you yourself do not deny the similarities in languages, though you somehow want to distinguish between language groups and tribes, and that section of your talk i do find unconvincing. Tribes and language have hung together for a long time! I do not think this can be dinied. After all people did organize in tribal groups and shared language within those groups. langages changed and evolved along with migrations. Scholars of Proto-Indoeuropean do find Sanskrit to be the closest to this constructed, imagined source language. On a very personal note - I have chilled whenever I hear Sanskrit since the first time I heard it and always feel that I sense its meanings and understand the rhythms and can speak the sounds with ease. To place that origin of so many languages and migrations only a few centuries CE seems ridiculous to me.
Perhaps the entire history of intelligent life on this planet has of yet only been vaguely understood and much of it is clothes in language of legend and folk tales and religions. Just as Mahabharat has been thought of a long time til recently. I think we will find a very ancient history of invasions or migrations or arrivals from other heavenly bodies, which will begin to explain more. Shiva being one example thereof. But the ancient peoples of Europe and Eurasia (as well as America) also tell this tale of aliens. You may argue they got it all from India. But although you do prove that a great deal came out of India and was falsely or out of necessity claimed otherwise, the final word on it all is far from spoken, so stay safe!

    Some criticisms:
1- If you put on a chart de % of the world's GDP and its evolution throughout time, the fact that one region rises and the other falls does not imply a transfer of wealth. Normally it signals that one region expereiences high economic growth and the other is stagnating during some period.
2- The whole of Eurasia and America are full of archeological "anomalies" ( artifacts and building parts ) that cannot be explained by the current paradigm ( many are much older than 7000 years old reaching in some cases hundreds of thousands years before ).
The big difference is that in the West the clergy of the Abrahamic religions has practiced a continuous persecution of the logical implications of these findings. We have been absolutely brainwashed. In India you have been opressed during periods by islamics but most of you saw them as foreigners so you have had a real continuity in your culture. In Europe all began to crumble in 325 AC until the Renaissance when it looked to progressively renew the path of progress.
What it seems to emerge is the existence of previous civilizations before the last Ice Age ( that means to consider the posiibility that the legends of Atlántida, Hiperborea, Lemuria....etc. were real ).
India seems the be the place where a craddle happens where a culture coming from the North ( Hiperborea ? ) merges with another coming from the South ( Lemuria ? ) during a long period of many thousands of years without the "burn earth" tactics of the Abrahamic religions clergy completely brainwashing the people.

selected universities outside India, say Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Singapore, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Russia,
Australia. You need to have a media coverage at the same time. This will give
you some International exposure. In the UK there is a large number of Indians
living, so you can get few contacts and ask them to organise to do public presentations
and at the same time try few Universities as well. The TV and social media
coverage must be used. You will need funds and a support group, may be Indian
businessmen. I remember watching Sashi Taroo’s debate at Oxford, it went viral,
that is exactly what you need to do and you need to get the Indians living in
other countries to get involved in this. Time is right I feel to stir this
world societies a bit, Indian Government will change its attitude to rebuild
the image. When the news hit the masses it will not be easy for those who try
to discredit you to prove you wrong.
    1. Ancient Indians were developing their minds spiritually
to seek salvation when the other nations
were invading countries for greed. This is where I see the vast difference in
the Ancient Indian civilisation and the other.
