Just a tip from someone who used to clean homes for a living, before you wet the surface of anything your cleaning make sure you clean the dust off 1st with a dry rag because when you wet anything that has dust it makes it sooo much harder to clean and don’t use anything that has ammonia in it, it attracts dust.
@@samanthasalazar8685 unfortunately there is no real solution to prevent it from happening, however a lot of people are using cleaners that contain ammonia and that is the biggest culprit for attracting dust and pet hair. If you have stainless steel appliances use the brand sprayway stainless steel cleaner I find that it prevents a lot of the clinging that can happen with pet hair. I have pets too so I know. With base boards how I clean them is, I use the Bona Premium microfiber floor mop. I use it dry 1st to remove dust and pet hair, then I use it wet with just water and then, on the mop I spray the sprayway all purpose cleaner on the mop and I use it to finish off the base boards and I actually find that it prevents dust and hair from sticking on to it. Now it’s not a miracle solution but it will prevent most of the hair from sticking to it for a-lot longer. Same thing with floor cleaners whether you have hard wood, vinyl, marble, or carpets make sure you don’t use anything containing ammonia. I hope this helps.
My mother was a custodian for our local university and the one thing that always wowed people was her ability to clean baseboards and doors. *What **_exactly_** do you do, please; since OP hasn't yet responded...Do you use the broom for the **_entire_** process, or merely for the last part when she attached the rag?*
*I'm curious to know if the bristles are stiff enough to **_really_** do the job of a stiff bristle grout brush, before I make a potentially unnecessary purchase.*
@@BL3SSed-Bliss It’s only $1. It’s not like you’re buying the Pope Diamond.
I use dawn powerwash for so many things! It works great on laundry stains, dirt stains on flip flops, & kitchen floors.
