- Setting the IAC steps on the fitech ultimate ls stand alone system. IAC steps are very important for a smooth idle and all around better performance. Ive had some trouble getting the IAC steps set do to TPS senor installed in the wrong location from the factory.

I’ve literally been having this same exact issue for the past month. Thank you so much for the help my friend. I agree with everyone else that your car is beautiful.
Awesome Man I'm glad this video helped. I said if I help just one person having the same issue I'll feel accomplished. It had me scratching my head.
BRO OMG!!!!!! The TPS in the wrong screw hole I freaking love you man!!!! It’s been forever trying to figure this crap out
Damn that car is clean nice job
Very nice Iroc,I have a 89 Iroc. I haven’t done anything to it in ten years. I do think about putting money into it and getting back on the road. Thank you for posting this video.
Thanks appreciate that. Get it going and have some fun with it!
dude, badass vid man. I have the ultra ram in my 64 impala, having some prob setting IAC. With your video Im sure I can get it set.
Yes , I agree 100% . Your iroc looks and sounds saweeet ! Now all I gotta do is find a nice 3rd gen and a wrecked corvette donor .
Thanks I appreciate it.
Beautiful car and sounds great!!!
the car is looking good man! I still wouldnt mind picking up an 86 to 91 IROC something in that year Range!
Thanks man. It's definitely a fun platform to build on.
Very informative
Carl sound real good my brother what size cam u have in there
Thank you so much this saved me I was at a loss 😂
Glad it helped
Awesome build Bro...love the Ls setup you have...curious where you mounted the IAT sensor..Fi tech says to mount near intake...appreciate your feedback and videos...
Thanks appreciate it. I mounted the IAT on the intake tube a few inches before the throttle body.
got the fitech 30005 and when initial frist start up i got it to run but for some reason i can not turn it off with my key i had to disconect the plug from my distributor..i have my white wire going to my fuse box to ignition fuse and my blue wire going to my green wire from my distributor which is my tach wire... i have a hei dis. and 355 small block 1990 k5 blazer...it wont shut down with the key off...my pump is in the tank
Do you have a video with all your settings on the Fitech?
What do you have your idle set to?
Haven’t seen all your vids yet. What engine and trans combo do you have?
Running a cammed LS3/T56 combo with 3.89 gears.
Appreciate it. Been looking at that combo for my 1992 Formula 350
@@PAFORM350 It's definitely worth it's a fun combo.
I’ve been having issues with getting my idle below 1700 rpm. My tps is reading 0 and my IAC is between 0 and 3 I have no vaccine leaks. Any help?
What fan are you using for this swap?
Running dual spal electric fans.
I bought a FiTech loaded TB & have had nothing but troubles. The TPS was junk & had to to be replaced right out of the box. Now the TPS reading stays at 0.5 no matter what & setting the IAC is impossible because letting it run for periods of time makes the IAC always land at 0 eventually. It never levels out in higher numbers. I'm at my wits end with Fitech.
I had a similar issue with it reading .5 I had to loosen the 3 screws on the tps and hold it twisted back a small amount then tighten the screws while holding it in the back position. It seems to help zero it out. If the iac is reading between 0-10 it's doing its job.
@@Brandon-LSX thanks for the reply, I appreciate it & will give it a try!
@@ahlers1977 No problem
My iac steps are in between the 0-10 range but the engine idles at 900-1100. I have it set to idle at 700. It is a bone stock 5.3
Would check for a vacuum leak somewhere.
@@Brandon-LSX exactly what it was. The guy who did the swap half assed the job and didn’t put a cap on the vacuum he didn’t use.
@@_aj345_ Glad you found it.
@@Brandon-LSX one more thing, does the fitech system have a neutral safety wire? I’m installing a remote starter and I don’t necessarily need a neutral wire as I can ground it but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
@@_aj345_ I'm not sure never hooked one up.
Why is RPM so high…..shouldn’t it be 500 to 650?
How did you wire your key on
Wired it to the the 12v switched on the ignition.
@@Brandon-LSX under the steering wheel
@@MichaelBrown-kz9qk Yeah yellow or purple wire if I remember right check it with a test light to confirm.
Can’t get my iac below 10
Can't get mine iac under 33
Check for vacuum leaks or could be defective iac sensor.
Looks horrible with corvette covers
Complete opposite it actually cleans up the engine bay and hides all the unwanted wires.
@@Brandon-LSX why not just buy a corvette then
@@connorhouston1117 I don't buy I build. I want a third gen that can perform with newer cars and not get smoked.
@@connorhouston1117it’s your opinion bro, don’t expect people to think like you. What have you built? Because this setup is clean, year correct or not
