I was a hundred percent with Margaret when her birthday devolved into a discussion about how great her soon-to-be ex-husband was. I had a birthday once where the conversation switched over to my older brother and now sister-in-law's upcoming wedding, due to take place around three months later. I just remember sitting there, so devastated, because we didn't get back to me for the rest of the dinner. And then everyone was shocked when they remembered why we'd gotten together in the first place. A few half-hearted happy birthdays were said, but I just felt so broken afterwards. I have always been told that it's never about me, for the entirety of my life, and, to have one of the few moments when it was supposed to be about me snatched away was truly hurtful.
Oh I was right with Margaret when she unloaded on them! I was even pissed off at Elizabeth and I generally like her on the show. And I definitely commensurate with your situation. On my 45th birthday I was thrown out of my home (my name wasn't on the lease as a leaseholder unfortunately) by now EX. To say it was one of the worst days of my life wouldn't be overstating things.
Same happened to me last month. My brother and I share a birthday month but mine is first, I begged for weeks to get our shit together and we barely went to the supermarket for 2 hours the day before, didn’t get all the ingredients for the dish I was making for myself and my mother’s guests- as we left too late and mother wasn’t even into it yet the second we got home I barely finished getting the produce out when she rushed AGAIN to her friend’s house to get a bunch of crap she dodged even keep cuz my aunt just took everything. Then no one helped me prep the dish, all went home early and no one called me on my actual birthday. My brother had a 2 day celebration and my sister had a week celebration on her becoming a doctor for the third time this year. It is the worst
Yeah that's basically my family, my cousins, aunts, and uncles all seem to openly hate me, they can never stop talking about my brother, even when he's not around, on my birthday as well.

(Joking apart) 'the Crown' should reflect reality. Let the Queen & Prince Philip's lives of service remind us of the huge, tangible power for peace and stability the British monarchy is for everyone in Britain, the commonwealth and for the world. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, which opposes illegal dictatorship and helps keep the peace. If there are many reasons England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia, have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy is an important one. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The Queen's Peace". Of course the Queen & Prince Philip had their failings as parents, and Prince Philip could be tactless. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the service they give, and for the difference the monarchy makes for the better, in the world. There will always be violence in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy. The value of the British crown since the 1700s is, billions of people have lived under it without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives.
