I get it that removing the front wheel may be intimidating to some riders but it’s not very difficult and would make this install much easier. But that’s just me. I’ve been taking wheels off of motorcycles for years because I’m too cheap to pay extra every time I need new tires. 😊

Hi Cruiseman and Crew from Western Australia. Fitted the showchrome extender to my DCT 2022 Wing.
      Comments:
The extender does indeed keep the crud off the front of the engine.
However I do agree with other posters that it is a little long.
Just completed a 9,500 km lap around the central / western part of our beautiful country, and the extender is gone?
I'll get another but I will definitely remove the front wheel, clean the wheel side of the fender fastidiously, then clamp the extender in place, drill the holes from the wheel side, remove the tape, install the extender and screws, then clamp again to settle the adhesive in. Refit the wheel after cleaning it and the brake calipers.
Love your channel. Keep up the good work!

Hold on there just a minute! (Insert sound of a scratched record). Has anyone seen the level of clean of Cruise’s Gold Wing? Wow! The Wing looks fantastic. I knew it wouldn’t be long. Excellent video. I’ve got this excellent Show Chrome Fender Extension. Does the job it was designed to do. Off topic. We’ve got Crown and Comments with Cruiseman. I’m getting a hankering for some coffee with Cruiseman. We got that anywhere some morning?

    Thanks for the interesting video!
I really don’t like drilling in the original parts of my motorcycle - it hurts and if you don’t drill 100 percent perfect, it looks bad 😢
Showchrome better should copy the original rear part of the front fender and make it as long as the original part + the extension.
The replacement will take a very little more work, but it looks perfect like an original part, you don’t have screws and sharp metal parts that near to the tire and you can make a rollback if wanted or needed.

I would buy this accessory if it would be one piece, so to speak a larger original Goldwing splash guard. The installation of course must optimally take place when changing the front brakes or changing the front tire. It's easy to remove the front splash guard once the tire is removed, but as shown in the video the front splash guard becomes this way a pieced together patchwork.

Good job I don’t know why manufacturers don’t make the fenders longer

just curious…i noticed you measured up following the angle of the fender where the instructions show measuring STRAIGHT up from the corner….then measuring in…I realize you did this a while ago but did your holes line up perfectly measuring that way ?….thx….i’m about to install this shortly

I like the idea of keeping the engine cowl cleaner but what is the down side of adding a front fender extension? Honda must have some reason for not making it longer.

Great video. An old toothbrush would do a better job cleaning the underside of the fender.

I put a fender extension on my bike and you have to be careful going over a curb that is high as the extension will it the curb as your tire ride off the curb because the fender is longer

Also, be careful when using a front wheel chock that flips up in back of the front wheel -- there may not be enough clearance.

Is the latest generation Gold Wing front fender stronger than the first generation Gold Wing front fender? The reason I ask is that on my 2003, I cracked my front fender using a fender extender.

Wondering why you just didn't take the fender off for the installation? I've been looking for that exact product for my K1600GTL with zero luck so far.

hi,,, Ive added one, very good.
question about the side bag fitment?? can't seem to get mine fitting properly, quite a large (uneven). gap on both of them. Have you come across this before? would make a good how to fix on your channel. As I think I wouldnt be the only one having problems. Thanks.
    btw.. brand new 2023 bagger.

Are you referring to the saddlebag liners from Show Chrome? Not sure what side bag fitment you are referring to.

Hi Chris, I'm writing from Belgium.
I just purchased your videos for the 2018-2023 GW, great job.
I was wondering, my 2021 DCT has now 10000 km. Maybe a good time to change the tires.
But what choice do we really have?
OEM are the Bridgestone Exedra G852.
    What is your advice ?
    Thanks a lot
    Jean-Luc

      Hi Jean Luc,
try the Metzeler Cruisetec Combo and you‘ll feel your motorcycle in a different way, especially on wet surfaces!!!
      Metzeler did a brilliant job!!!
