You wouldn’t think too much of moss until it makes your roof collapse! I think you did a great service to the owner, and how nice others were taking notice and asked you to work for them!
Above a communal entrance to our flats we have a roof that's covered in moss although not as bad as this due to an overgrown tree that was blocking lots of sunlight. I've been cleaning it on/off for 3 years with a mixture of bleach and water in a sprayer, a homemade extended pole with a wire brush on the end of it and a hose. The colour is coming back where parts of the roof has been cleaned and when i get bigger ladders i'll able to reach even further. If i fall i've got crashmats to land on. When i hose the roof down little bits of moss comes down the drainpipe and then i put it in a brown bin.
I love the mossy roof cleanings. I wish there were more of them. Can you please start using more safety gear though? Also, have you thought about using power washer to clean roofs?
Good job fella. I'm in the process of starting an exterior cleaning company. The only thing I need to purchase now is a back pack and wfp. Where do you recommend to buy a package? Also just out of curiosity how many of the neighbours asked for your services after you finished that roof. I'm going to do a friend's house in a large estate at the cost of the chemical, plus plenty of cuppas and food, I'm hoping it will give me a bit of experience and iron out any issues and generate a fair amount of work 👍
Hi mate window cleaning warehouse does a decent starter kit. I think in total I ended up doing 4 quotes in that street after the first clean and cleaned two out of four
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Thanks for getting back to me mate. I've had a look at there site. I'm more geared up for driveway/patio pressure washing but keen to dip my toes into roof cleaning, it's a fairly untapped market in my area. Really enjoying your videos and appreciate you posting them. Keep up the good work mate. Fa
In this one I was using a wolf fitting on the flexi scraper, but just switched over recently to using a universal thread attachment so I can use it on a longer pole 👍
Freeman’s flexi scraper on Facebook or google, type it in and you’re away :) I’d recommend joining the fb group and asking or using the search bar if you’re unsure on a tile profile you need
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning thanks mate I have ordered the freeman’s flexi scraper looks like a great piece of kit also does the solution go quite far it says on the tub to use 1 litre per square metre is this right?
@@pressurecleaningsolutions7896 it can be hard to gauge that mate but averagely i use 2-2.5 litres for an entire roof on a terraced or semi detached house. So it goes very far, usually get two jobs out of one 5L
Hi Mate facelift renegade 30ft + a flexi scraper or any other roof scraper, brush head wise to brush chemical in, anything will do, something with 4 jets will be quicker than two though. Cheers!
Similar to softwashing a roof mate but use biocide at 1/6 instead of 1 / 20 You can also hypo it but not that experienced with hypo so I can’t tell you how to do that 👍

I hope the neighbours also decided to do this. I’d have major FOMO if someone else’s roof got compliments and mine didn’t 😅 Awesome job 🥇
Haha I’m hoping they call up soon I did chat to them :D
I use a brush on the end of a water-fed pole when applying biocide. That way I can let the brush rest on the roof, saves the arms and shoulders.
That’s exactly how I do it now mate 👍 took me a while to see the light :D
That was extremely thick moss sid well done to you for doing it

Cheers buddy 👍
Enjoyed!!!
Great video. How do you get rid of all the moss that's been scraped off? Do you have to take it away?
Hi mate if you have a waste carries licence you can take it with you or if not leave it with the customers garden bins or get a small skip 👍
what brand pole do you use to attach the scrapers to the pole I have seems really flimsy to use and is a bit dangerous as it bends a lot
hi mate I use a 30ft renegade and a 40ft ova 8 now
Insane difference between that one house to the others!! Well done 😄 x
I know! Thank you :D x
Marathon Watching 9/27/21 That’s Very Mossy... it’s like it’s own life form up there... and it doesn’t rent the space! 😂 🤣
Do heights ever bother you when working on a high roof?
A couple of times I’ve been sketched out but only when somethings gone wrong :D
