- Israel’s government has moved to shut down the operations of the Al Jazeera television network in the country, branding it a mouthpiece for Hamas.
Hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the cabinet agreed to the closure, police raided the broadcaster’s office in Jerusalem on Sunday.
The broadcaster, which is headquartered in Qatar, called claims it was a threat to Israeli security a "dangerous and ridiculous lie".

Btw, she is not the only journalist who got killed when reporting in Gaza, hundreds of journalists got killed, that’s a systemic issue, not a individual incident or as Israel claimed “an accident”.

What’s confusing about this whole situation is that it’s possible to both condemn the Hamas attacks _and_ think Israel has been more than heavy-handed in its response to October 7th. It’s possible to support Palestinian freedom from Israeli state oppression without being antisemitic just as it’s possible to support Israel against Islamist aggression without being anti-Muslim. These 2 things are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Too many folk are either one thing or t’other in this conflict when it’s possible to be both/and.

That means that the constitution is shaped by the judiciary and how they interpret laws enacted by government. Israel could make things people don't like but we know that Israel make things people don't like. We have no idea about true intention of Palestinians people. We don't even know who and where are they now, who talk, who speak as the represent of Palestinians people. Palestinian people basically are nowhere to be found. Israel is real, Hamas is real, Gaza is real, West Bank is real, Palestine is not. Al Jazeera cannot convince people that they tell things about Palestine when it is not real.
