Although it also happens with quite inane comments so I suspect it’s more about how their IT systems are managed and where data is being stored if a server risks going down.
Day in day out I meet people who play the system that they want to pay out for them. Worse than this, they have a huge sense of entitlement and will cop a major strop when things do not go their way much as I see that systems are also underfunded and let people down. There’s a case for some notion of duty, not just what you can get from the state. It’s that whole “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” point. I like that idea. A lot of schools promote public service. It’s a good thing I think. With all that said I still don’t think it’s a priority and it’s a weird thing to bring up now. The issues are immigration, the NHS, the economy and housing.

Tuesday 18 June 2024 is the final day that people can be registered to vote in the general election on Thursday 4 July 2024.
There's about 2.5 million people who are registered to vote who don't have valid Photo ID or Voter Authority Certificate or Anonymous Electors Document.

A bit of luck for me is that the General Election is going to be 4 July because I don’t go away until September.
I want to read the manifesto of exactly what labour are saying they are going to do and their vision before I vote for them because I don’t know.
The Conservatives are not who were elected, the leadership has changed, their politics morphed into an unrecognisable mess that no one asked for. Immigration a free for all without any control, a leader without any mandate or ability to connect with the nation.
Neither the Conservatives, Labour, or LibDems represent the will of the majority of the people, but merely contort a debate away from what are the real concerns..
