Ten Day Forecast: First Hints Of A Drier And Warmer Second Half To July?

- Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's ten day forecast video update. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days. Day ten will take us to 14th July - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at the CFS V2 for the next four weeks taking us to the end of July at the end of the video...
The weather remains rather cool and unsettled with low pressure bringing showery conditions. The rest of the week will stay cool and mixed with a risk of further showery conditions at times. Looking ahead to the weekend and next week we should see temperatures becoming slightly warmer and returning closer to average but it may also become much wetter with spells heavy and perhaps even thundery rain likely but as we push out to the middle and second half of July could we be seeing the first hints of a drier and warmer second half to July?

Thank's Gav and the team for the ten day forecast with the extended and ECM ensembles including the CFS V2. I found the video very interesting and informative.
To be honest I have got to the point where I don't believe it and even if it does, the heat and will be a very meagre affair, where any real heat will be confined to Cambridge, London, Oxford and Gravesend.
Sounds familiar, might scrape 21 degrees in Plymouth.
Might scrape 19 or 20 degrees in Kent, freezing and miserable at the moment.
Its not going to happen. The "hints" of something dryer and warmer are always there at Day 10.
Cheers Gav. Let's hope the second half of July brings something resembling summer weather. Apart from last weeks brief heatwave, it really has been a poor summer so far.

So good to hear everything crosssed that it just stays above 18 and the wind is warmer. I'm sat in a thick jumper watching this. I remember a summer when the jet stream wwas stuck in the North for most of the summer, can't recal the year. But it was a very chilly july indeed.

I'm literally begging for a warmer late July because I'm going on holiday. Please Jetstream move to the North.
If you are going to the South East corner for your holiday you may be ok for some nice weather. Avoid Wales and North west England and stay away from Scotland.

Summer lol seasons are jumbled up. We don’t have them anymore. In the 70s and 80s we had bad years but recently, it’s got worse. I believe if you want decent hot weather , Spain, Portugal and further afield. Sad really, as we have some beautiful places in the uk but the unpredictable climate ruins it all. I’m needing heat for my medical conditions, so living somewhere really hot helps. Sorry uk
I have chronic pain and I find the heat helps my pain levels tremendously.
Yes, it is Spain etc or just sitting in a sauna / steam room for most of the summer
