Sure but I think we can collectively agree that 32°C or higher in the UK is always considered a heatwave. Because the UK doesn't appear to get that hot often.

I saw a similar headline that suggested we'd had one of the hottest June's in recent history 🤔 we had a 15tog duvet and the heating on some nights

How would you know Britain is bracing? Have you done an indepth poll on the effects of 29 deg on individuals? Hardly likely since as far as i can tell, the news of this only surfaced today. Typical scaremongering. Furthermore, we dont 'brace' before 29 deg two weeks in advance.

You do not know what a heatwave is.
A heatwave is “an extended period of hot weather relative to the expected conditions of the area at that time of year, which may be accompanied by high humidity.”
29°C may be a heatwave. 10°C may also be a heatwave. A heatwave does not have to be 45°C or something higher.

It's currently 17c in Essex, and piddling down with rain. Anything over 20c, and no rain for a day, is now deemed as a heatwave. What a load of bollocks.
The real deal where I live. It was 8C yesterday until after 10 am in NE Scotland. It was the same this morning until after 8 am.
The highest day time temp I saw was 14C. There is also a biting cold NNW wind making it feel colder.
There were 6 days at the start of June when it was snowing on the high mountains. Global boiling, my arse.
