The scandal is Truss is on a Prime Ministers pension for life! 100k a year for 40 days of nothing. Unbelievable.
Shows you how corrupt the UK is, we put sanctions on corrupt regimes while allowing it to happen here. And it is corruption because name any career that gives you a £100,000 pension for 40 days of incompetence.
No she isn't.
That's not a pension, it's a public allowance for the cost of public duties. So if, for example, she goes to Davos in her capacity as former PM, she could claim travel expenses. She can also pay staff to organize such talks, and their pensions.
But she has to expense it. She can't just spend it on herself.
Also, it's £115k.

There’s no I in team, but there is an I in pie: meat pie. Which is an anagram for team. The point is, if we all work together we can go to Beijing and sell some pork pies at the market.

But a fraction of what I'd be paying on my mortrtgage if she'd stayed in until the next election. If the pension helped convince her to leave quickly, it's a small price to pay.

To their credit, Sunak and Truss did leave without inciting an insurrection, stealing classified documents, and then getting convicted of 34 felony counts.
