"A FUCKINNNN 8 KILO BIKE IN 2023.... KEEP YOUR FUGGIN SLED" yea I get it people this bike heavier then yours......
Don't skip leg day bruh
Are you Down With BSA ya you know me GC are you Down with BSA? 😂😂😂
Could have been a lot worse though. This bike is only a wheel and tire swap away from being a 7.5kg build. Throw a carbon bar and saddle on it and it will be pushing 7.3kg
I wish you could weigh a 56 frame in this setup, I've just got a 2022 cannondale super six evo hi-mod disc dura-ace di2 2022, top of the line from a year ago, and out of the box with no pedals I got 7.6kg, so 8kg for that is not bad at all
I feel like the allow wheels and endurance tires are begging to be immediately replaced anyway. I think the idea behind this bike is "affordable supersix evo carbon bike with highly upgradable wheels"
I just bought this bike and put carbon Enve 3.4's on, a new carbon saddle and the new integrated carbon Momo bar and I will be upgrading the crank. The 105 shifts like butter. Bike feels amazing! The current weight now is 16.2 lbs in a 56 frame.
Do you have some crankset in mind compatible with the bottom bracket?
@@AlbertSotoMasip I’m going to ride the 105 Di2 for now. So far it’s an outstanding bike and it climbs incredibly well. Upgrading to Dura Ace would be too expensive so I may find an upgrade for the crank in the future.
@@leewinter28 12speed 105 crank is good, even Dura Ace is not much lighter, Ultegra is almost same weight. Only Dura Ace casette is a good upgrade point, to save 100 gramms. Ultegra crank just for looks.
Great job GC, new SuperSix is on my shortlist!
Quick view, this looks good value for money. Great frameset, great groupset, modern features with cabling and headset spacers for everyone. The wheel are what they are supposed to be: robust for training and cheap so you can upgrade later; aero or climbing. A competitor for Cube Litening C68, which I've been looking at lately. I like it!
LOL
Wtf are you kidding? Its a shame to get these cheap wheels at this price.
i really like the model, good price and value for build
slight upgrades this will be awesome all rounder with all the new aero tweaks
luv the new stem integration hope its backwards compatible lol
The great thing about 105 is you can squint your eyes and tell yourself you’re running Dura Ace
That’s a great value bit of kit. It tests very fast in the wind tunnel too according to Tour Magazin…up there with the best aero bikes.
Stick some 1350-1450g wheels on there and she’ll go!
Damn this is an epic build. GC, I'm surprised not to see a video on the new sirrus 5.0.
Specialized does not communicate at all with me. I do not think they like me that much
Just got shipping confirmation on mine! Huge value on this bike, just switching the wheel set to Zipp Firecrest 404, and this thing will be awesome!
yea once doing that the bike will come alive, congrats on new bike day
I bought this bike and upgraded to Enve 3.4’s with Vittoria Corsa Pro tires, integrated Momo bar and a carbon saddle. It’s now rockin and weighs 16.2 lbs.
Picked this model up for $4000 just yesterday including shipping and tax. Very happy with that. Not cheap but amazing bike for the price.
thats awesome!!!! thats a really good deal
For the love of God, peel the plastic film off the display of that scale.
Hahahhahaha now that you Said that I will never do it 😊
exactly what i thought
CANNNONDAL LOVE!!!!! SuperSix all the way baby!
The Model you have to review is the Super Six Evo 2 but that does not come out till December waiting for your first hands on with it to make my decision.
Heavy but looks like good value for a midrange bike.
Has the draw for the 56cm Tarmac been done already?
Just as you mentioned, changing the wheels to carbon ( I chose HollowGram 45 KNØT) and tires to Continental Grandprix 5000 made a world of difference. Is the upgrade all worth it? Without a doubt. Now this machine lives up to its billing.
What's the weight now
Sweet looking bike, love the clean look
Thanks!
No huge logos. No fancy seatpost or handlebars that break. Better cable routing and, hopefully, a more reliable BB. This would be on my short list as someone who rides a ton of miles each year and is looking for something that won't be a warranty claim waiting to happen.
Wheels and handlebars got to go. Hi mod model specs ? Might be the way to go, not sure 🤔
@@royanderson3478 Nah one model up from this the Super Six Evo 2 is a great deal! Waiting till December to check one out.
LOVE IT!
How much less would ultegra Rotors weigh? Do you have specs for each?
That bike would fit me perfectly 😂
Those are some heavy wheels. They also came on my SuperSix CX. Changing to my carbon gravel wheels made a noticeable difference.
yea they are booty wheelsx
Snap! I did the same on my Supersix CX. What a difference! Looking forward to getting mine next week! I'lll do the same and get some better wheels.
Very clean looking bike
Those aerobikes looks fast and fun, but thin wheels only is an annoying limitation. I Understand that aero is necessary for winning races, but sacrifying the big tyres is not super for tourists like me.
the price is fair & good investment good quality Thank You.
I was not expecting electronic shifting for that price. As always, fantastic stuff!
Lynskey's been selling a complete Rival Axs/105 di2 for 2950 for a couple of months. Not sure on the how the rest of the builds compare, I imagine the Lynskey is heavier and a lot less aero (plus some assembly required). But yeah, affordable electronic is real now. :O
@@donjuandeaustria1213 I have a lynskey r300 with rival etap 1x in XS. It weighs 18.60 with some cheap vision wheels, carbon seatpost, and integrated handlebars. The complete build was about 2300 because I got everything on sale
Thank you!
bike snob! I have this bike and love it!
8kilo for a 51cm!!! Wtaf!!! My hybrid with rim brakes from 2004 weighs less than this boat. In 56 thats gunna be nearly 9kg!!!
Than ride a 2004 bike, its lighter as you said
@@laurenz323 I think my very good Rocky Mountain Rail CX bike is from 2003. But its not lighter at 10.3 kg (extra large with pedals!) The Rail is fantastic and has modern gearing-ratio. The gearing is the biggest leap on modern roadbikes with more big cogs on the backwheel. And I like good discbrakes better than rimbrakes.
I just picked it up, got a factory pinchflat on the test ride out 200 ft from the end of my laneway, great bike though.
thats awesome!!! they are nice bnikes
I think with carbon bars, wheels, and a fast tire/tube setup, it’d be down to low 7kg. But then might as well get the high mod
For the Retail costs of the wheels and bars, you'd probably be better buying the model up, as they're paying OEM prices.
Not once you add pedals and cages.
@@LukeGJPotter Correct Evo 2 is the model to get and you have nothing to really upgrade just for a grand more.
@@andrewcockburn7484 We save some weight riding without pedals, but I believe pedals are worthy of their weight.
I upgraded the bike with new carbon wheels, saddle and bar. Enve 3.4's are better than the hi mod hologram wheels. Not sure how much weight the hi mod frame saves though. It's really preference I guess. This is a great bike for the money be we all know you always have to add more to ANY bike.
I just like the ultegra hood top buttons.
yea its a nice feature but after a whie I found myself not using them
Beautiful bike 🙏💪👍🔥🇵🇷💯
105 Di2 is not Ultegra Di2 with a last-gen front-derailleur.
It also lacks servowave braking, buttons on the hoods and it only comes with crazy mountain-bike style gearing (like 50-34 on the front and an 11-36 cassette).
Crazy mtb gearing is fantastic, but in addition to the mtb gears you have the big 50 cog. The frontcog on mtb are much smaller, maybe 32. These gears I would love. I have 50-34 and 11-25 on my Wilier. 34-25 is hard for a heavy man going up. This Cannondale has maybe 3 more gears on the light side than my Wilier (28?, 32? and 36). Only bad thing with this Cannondale is that tyre clearance looks narrow.
Yep, I totally agree Sarah. I made similar comments too in an earlier video as well. You can also attach satellite shifters to the Ultegra shifters, you can't attach them to the 105 shifters.
I've recently purchased a complete Ultegra di2 groupset for my new bike build, as I wanted the extra features Ultegra di2 has that 105 di2 does not have.
I particularly like the function buttons on the Ultegra shifter hoods that I can now control my Garmin with. 😊
I don't like touchscreens, prefer buttons.
I'm thinking buying this bike my self. My local store have it in stock and this bike looks incredible compared to others. This would be my first racing bike ever.
Go for it!
@@GCPerformance18 i did it today. I order from my local shop. They have 58 size. I'm 6"1' and i found that 56 is better size for me. I have order one today i just need to wait now. They have all in stock expect 56 lol fuck my luck 🤞
Put some light cockpit items and Hypers and go racing
That 105 di2 front derailleur is the old 11 speed dura ace di2
yes it looks like 11 speed di2
Wow great 🎉
the struggle is real above 7.5kg
Would love to see the SuperSix EVO 1 (Mystique Gray) reviewed. I just ordered one that arrives in June.
Super six Evo #1 ? This is 2024 model, and I thought Lab 71 is tops . How are they numbered?
So your Evo#1 comes with ? Ultegra di2 or SRAM? and what about wheels 🛞 and handlebars? I ❤️ the look of the bike but I want a good wheelset for 9K +++.
@@royanderson3478 EVO 1 comes with SRAM Force AXS and Hollowgram R-S50 carbon wheels. Price is $6500
@@royanderson3478 Evo 1 is 6500 with SRAM Force and carbon wheels
It's nice but you have to budget for new wheels. Wait for the Evo 2 if you can. Ultegra Di2 and decent carbon wheels for what will end up being the same price.
I still have my eye on The EVO 2 as my next bike. Which does not come out till the end of the year.
yea it is a nice bike sucks they come out so long
Switch the wheels into nice Carbon wheels 50 mm
And enjoy the ride 🥳
Gr8 Bike . Miles 2 Heavy . The Factor Ostro Vam is right on 7 kilos or less.
Be interesting 2 see how an SL7 Sworks matches up speed wise
yea this is a nice bike for the money and also a nice price point
The Factor Ostro Vam also starts as a complete bike at $4000 more. 😂
Just bought that bike for 3500€ (ca. $3800). Can not wait to ride it :)
very nice
Here I'm thinking my $1200 full carbon build is expensive, tho its not uci legal
Yeah but how much does it cost?
Just got this in a 48. Feels a bit sluggish to accelerate with the RT470's...Swapping in my Hunt's with GP5000's this week, can't wait to see the difference
that will be a nice swap ou those wheels do not do it justice
I had the same problem with it being sluggish with these factory wheels. Put on carbon Enve 3.4's with ceramic speed bearings and it is rolling like a marble on glass!
Any idea how much the 470’s weigh without tires/ discs on?
@@Intentsrig 1780g according to google
Im 166cm - 167cm what recomended size for me? Thanks before
Good looking bike and it had hidden cables for under 5k!!! Why can’t specialized do that with their Roubaix bikes??? Lazy if you ask me! Good looking bike!
I agree. I asked specialized direct amd they said havin the cables out is easier for maintanence 😂 i just wont buy their bikes as they crazy overpriced and bikes lose value fast. I will stick with my canyon cf slx.
1) The Future Shock is in the way.
2) Is regular internal routing that big of a deal? Who doesn't like an easily serviceable headset assembly?
Grant - can you use any stem with the new S6?
I honestly do not know this but i would assume so and they have a adapter for the stem
How much are those wheels?
How is this model comparing to Tarmac SL7 comp? I’m in Canada, the price for these two models are close.
very very simialr, i dont know how this bike rides but the sl7 rides smooth but both of these bikes are very comperable to each other, both good brands
Any idea how much the 470’s weigh? Without tires/ discs of course.
Roughly 1700 grams

I think that the Cannondale logo is missing on the downtube in glossy black to provide some character, and the fork should also have had black instead of neon.
My 2 cents.
Great walk thru 👏
Yea I think so as well it looks very mutted the whole bike
I'm a big fan of the discreet and small logo on the top tube.
I also like the detail in orange better than in black. But i also think that the whole fork could be graphically designed differently. Like they did on the Teambikes
Come ride the frost heaved roads of New England. You will be sold on 28’s and 30’s and all that.
When I was a lad you could buy a 5kg bike
,a fish & chip supper, go to the cinema and still have change out of a shilling 😂
hahahhah
This thing is still a sled, I have a 63cm himod from 2017 and is 7.3 kilo. this is a 51cm over a half kilo more. This thing is heavy.
Sorry bro but the best part of this video is when that person honks and u go falk Yew 😂😂😂
hahaha, I wil take it as a win
HAHAHAHAAA "ahhh fuck you" 🤣 that was an understandable reaction. Also thanks for the video, I just bought it
hahaha awesome!!! have a great time on the bike :)
So Cannondale has their 2024 bikes out... Specialized is still showing their 2022 Tarmacs online...
Hi GC. Good video. How much would the bike weigh with decent wheels and tyres on.
And dont forget the pedals. I might put on Shimano XT spd pedals
or Dura ace.......
Is a mechanical group version planned? and when ?
I thikn they will make one once 105 mechanical officially drops and have an option with that avaible
For me the ultegra is worth the price bump because of the buttons on the top of the hoods
yellow is not a hi-mod one, just different color and big logo on downtube
My 2014 Super Six Hi-Mod weighs 6kg. Total build cost was £6,000. Road bikes today are grossly overpriced.
So 6k GBP in 2014 is equal to roughly £7670 now, which is like $9500.... Which is kinda twice much as much as the bike in the video. Sure, bikes have gotten more expensive, but it's not a good example.
You can't say that enough. I can't believe people are buying them.
I prefer the way the older ones look too
@@dainiusvysniauskas2049 seriously a $10k bike from 9 years ago ain’t as good as a $5k bike now.
Canyon is just the same; ultimate 8 was 7kg; now 8kg: you can fuckinnnn keep it.
My road bike is freaking 10.5kg. That's super heavy.
Is it an older steel bike?
That's not bad at all. Good price.
£4500 for a push bike. Hahahaha
czcams.com/video/r_FJB4liWnM/video.html Precision engineering. Top notch production and QC. In comparison how can anybody claim this Crack'n'fail is worth the asking price. How is any push bike worth the asking prices in this current market? I really find it hard to believe that people are paying it. I'm not one of those people.
This versus koga kinsei who win in aero perf ?
??? I am confused by this question
@@GCPerformance18 the koga kinsei IS a new hyper aero bike who has similar geometry than the kinsei track bike from the dutch brand koga who win a gold medal in track compétions aT Olympic games of Tokyo i want to know if this New supersix is faster in high speed
I hope there will be real colours for this bike. The colours of C are so dulle the recent years. In earlier daysthey were remarkable.
Good value. Still prefer the new Evo 2.
yea I am going for a new video on that soon

Good news for those who hate noisy freehubs. This one is quiet 🙂
yes this is the truth lol
is this better than tcr advanced 2?
it is preference I think you get motr bang for your buck with the giant to be hoinest
No
The internet says, the 105di2 brakes are a bit disappointing. Is this not as bad as it sounds or can you improve it with better rotors / pads ?
Love the value, especially that you don't have to buy cannondales overpriced and quite mediocre R45 wheels they ship with the ultegra build. If they could only offer the same paint schemes of the other, non-hi mod, builds. Since it's the same frame.
no I have 105 di2 on a bike I ride now with stock brakes and rotors and they stop amazing, I mean way better then rim brake from back in the day and nothing that I feel like I need more with
I only wish that this bike is heavier for the price. It's kinda light too light for climbing.
Lmfaooo
i was gonna buy this bike but bought a giant TCR instead.
thats a really good bike as well
I have the 2023 version
2023 vs 2024 ? 24 looks 👌
Lol stfu stop with the honking! You tell them lol. Nice video!
The new 2024 Supersix Evo are model 4 not model 3?
heavy wow
yea its there starting price point model
Ehh, the wheels alone are almost 2kg. Grab a set of Elitewheel Edge 50mm deep wheels and you save 600 grams for less than 700 bucks. Then add nicer tyres with either tubeless or TPU tubes and you're at 7kg
Where's the freehub sound test? 😉
I forgot to upload it im sorry
No freehub sound check at the end.
yea i am sorry I forgot too
Still can’t see any real reason to replace my 2013 Supersix Evo.
very nice
The wheels retail works out at 13% of the bikes retail. Nice bike but cheap wheels for the price.
2024 is evo3? I thought lastest is Evo 4?
it said on the tag evo 3
4500$ for a heavy non aero bike with cheap shallow wheels and 105. Brainwashed into thinking it's value for money.
I've build up a gravelbike with the same weight, carbon Elite wheels (drive) wich weigh 1300 grams, Carbon everything, aero cockpit with internal cables, 3D printed fizik saddle, sram axs force/rival with powermeter, tune carbon bottlecages etc. all for 3500$. Oh and it looks way better too.

For 4K too lol you could buy an older supersix evo high mod with rim brakes that’s lighter and easier to work on for half of the price.
Edit….not to mention the groupset alone is 6lbs.
