How to adjust your electric pto clutch on your Scag, this process works for most of your manufacturers. #scag #lawncare #lawncarebusiness #Mowermaintenance.
Man this was a gem. I took my mower in as I couldn’t figure out the issue. The told me they had to adjust my clutch air gap. I had never heard of this thank u brother! I will know the next time
I’m new to working on this type of equipment. I’ve got a 1st gen scag v ride. And sometimes the blades take quite a bit of time to engage. Would this be the place to start?
Would the air gap being off be a reason for the blades not to engage? I am trying to help my mom figure out why her blades stopped engaging. She said when she turns them on she hears like and air or woosh sound. She just spent a load of money fixing the hydraulics and just can sink any more money into the thing. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! It is a Turf Tiger
Those are a little more complicated with the drive shaft and gear box. But check the belts and check the clutch air gap and your normal voltages. I have videos for all of that.
If the clutch checks good make sure you getting proper voltage from the switch if all that checks good it’s going to be a belt/ driveshaft or gear box issues. There’s one belt on the back and one on the deck for those.
Hey brother I got a 2016 tiger cat with the 27ho kohler and my pto switch keep going out I went through 3 switches in 4 days literally and my fuses are getting really hot
Thanks for the no nonsense, straight to the point video.
Thank you for the comment. Glad to help and hope you come back to watch future videos.

Checking the voltage to the clutch, the ohms on the clutch and the adjustment but mostly it’s the adjustment.
