  • The Defiance is a checkers opening that has been around since the mid-19th century. It was popular then, and it's just as popular now, for its solid defensive structure and restrictive nature make it an essential opening for all players to master. I discuss the most restrictive variation within this opening, and I highly recommend spending some time to ensure you completely master it.
