  • I do not have the rights to this, nor to the Critical Role logo. I am just a huge fan of both Critical Role and the composer of this song, Colm McGuinness. I also wanted to use it for battle music for my D&D campaign, but needed a longer version of it. Enjoy!
Please subscribe to both Critical Role and Colm McGuinness

Yea, kinda miss the old one as break music. Because while this song is badass, doesn't fit too well for the art break.

I heard this and immediately thought of all my past campaigns.
Imagine the camera chasing into a forest and centering on a lone dusty book, the book slowly opens (cue violins) as a single black line of ink flows over the page chasing to the music. It branches off into other lines each spiraling in and around each other. The camera changes to various close ups of the page, seeing an arm, a sword, a shield, until visible characters, each unique, somehow showing their varying stories through a single moment, different yet somehow connected are revealed. Finally (at crescendo) the camera zooms out to reveal a created coat of arms showing each character, fitting into the whole, entirely created of ink and lines, until the ink line quickly darts off as the page flips to a blank one and starts again.

Thank you for making this loop! I also really love Critical Role and the composer of this song and I found myself just putting the art reel from a random episode on in the background just so I could listen to this music continuously, this makes it way easier!

For anyone else looking for more stuff like this, I recently listened to Total War Warhammer 3's soundtrack. Especially the tracks dedicated to Kislev impart a lot of the same cold, triumphant and mountaineous vibes as this wonderful piece here. The Witcher 3 was mentioned before but I will also plug its soundtrack too in this comment.
