  • This video contains a one hour selection of songs defined as emotional or relaxing from the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and it's two expansions (Hearts of stone and Blood and wine).
The songs from the official soundtrack are included. As do the songs who weren't part of the official soundtrack but appeared in the game.
The video includes pictures who illustrates sceneries, memorable moments, and characters from the game. These pictures are also fitting to the music and can let you relive the story of Geralt of Rivia.
The Witcher 3 is an adult rpg. Some of these dramatic moments are illustrated in pictures combined with the more soft emotional songs.
All the songs and pictures belong to their rightful owner CD Projekt Red the creators of the Witcher gaming franchise.
The music is composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz, Mikolai Stroinski, and Percival.
US= Unofficial soundtrack (Excluded out of the official soundtrack but appeared in the game)

What a masterpiece... Seriously this game leaves a huge void after you finish it, I've never felt this way after finishing a game. Everything is perfectly done in this game, the gameplay, the story, the soundtrack, characters, graphics, the huge interactive world... I get the feeling we won't ever get a game like this again. It got me through a very hard time in my life and I'm just thankful to CDPR for it.

It literally does. I started playing this after I finished Dragon Age: Inquisition. I was so distraught because I'm a Solavellan. Literally cried for freaking hours. Then my friend said, "Wanna cry some more?" Of course I agreed. Played Witcher for the first time and died all over again. At least Witcher 3 has a good ending for Geralt and Yen...or Triss...if you're into that.

Skyrim trumps all as far as hours I have invested doing every little thing. But Witcher 3 is like you said, a true masterpiece. It's art in so many aspects. it's being there in the game. The voice acting alone is incredible ! Beautiful huge environment really ties it together. I agree 100% there will likely not be another game that delivers like this. I hope you all lived in it like I did.

Some encouragement to my fellow Witchers. After 40 years of gaming i am now 61 i can assure you there will emerge sooner or later more master pieces as they did before this one. However each master piece will be part of your life and the older you get you will charish them as i do because those are part of my life. My first was on amiga2000 called Fate Gates of Dawn somewhere in the 1985 or so. Took me over a year and 56 A3 pieces to map and finish it. In technical aspect of course nowadays looks like shit back than it was great. Through the years i found quite some gems and they are all part of my journey through life. Each in their own way. The Witcher 3 is one of them.

I have such an strange relationship to this game. It was probably the time in my life when my future was most uncertain. Freshly unemployed, but still young enough to live at home with my parents, no money, but Witcher 3. I slept, ate, played, ate, slept, and probably dreamed about the game. Looking back now, my life is settled, but I'll never forget the freedom at that time.

Back to that feeling - I remember when I played the game for the first time, it was truly special, discovering every new area, new characters, connecting with them, the funny moments, the bad moments, the sad moments, this game is an incredibly polished and expertly crafted rollercoaster of emotions. I miss that time when I played this game for the first time, sometimes when I listen to Witcher 3 music I feel those "first playthrough" emotions and I instantly get butterflies in my stomach :-) it may sound odd to some but that's how I feel about The Witcher 3 - a masterpiece.

And then you walk out of the water, put the clothes on and just feel like if you really had taken a shower.

do you think Cyberpunk 2077 could even come close to this? Even after years of fixes and patches? Same company that made the Witcher 3 but obviously a lot has changed as we all have seen with the many failures. I'm thinking CP2077 was and is just too ambitious (at least with current graphics and computer technology we have). In the Witcher 3 you have nature (trees, shrubs, mountains, water formations) and primitive buildings (wood, stone, up to castles) and people, animals, and monsters. The immersion is just phenomenal because we have the tech now to recreate the year 1200-era life with stunning accuracy (or good enough).

I remember that i tried like three times over years before i got hooked, only thing i thought back then is why do i constantly hear Shakira in the music when fighting? Eventually after years of hard work and mediocre succes i have an 4k Oled setup, and since then i could't stop playing till finishing the story. Now i listen to this playlist for hours, and still get goosebumps and teary eyes of all the great moments....Ah the memories!

This game was unique in my opinion, in terms of the experience alone. Especially playing it the first time, even though the game is truly gigantic, and even after many, many hours of playing and replaying; you kept finding new stuff all the time. There is no game that I ever played that had this much of an impact on me. They throw you into this world, and you become part of that world, more so than in any other game. You start feeling at home in it. After having fully completed the game, with nothing more to do, you still spend hours just traveling the world, climbing mountains, sailing its seas. But then the world becomes empty, most of the characters you got to know and love or hate are gone, and you do start feeling sad. You have already done the new + game, and so you start all over again, and play through it again, taking your time, collecting as much stuff as you can; I literally collected every single weapon, clothing and armor piece, item, painting, etc. I could possibly get my hands on. I think I must've restarted the game completely at least twice. In the end, it's all just a great memory of the best gaming experience you've ever had.
You put on the game's music every now and then, in the background, and the music takes you back to the icy, mysterious island of Undvik, the beautiful lands of Toussaint, or the eerie swamps in Velen. Getting drunk with Eskel and Lambert, dealing with the Bloody Baron, finding Ciri on an enchanted isle covered in fog, and helping Olgierd and his beloved wife.. it really was an amazing journey. I hope CDPR returns to this franchise in the future, and gives us a fourth Witcher experience, because no matter how cool their new Cyberpunk game is, to me, the world of the Witcher will probably always be the most memorable and fascinating. I still miss it when I listen to its wonderful soundtrack.

I hope one day they will fix all drawbacks of the third Witcher and release it as latest game but completely polished.
I personally don't ask for the Witcher 4 cause the third one was logically completed journey and the only way to expand it to make a separate stories of characters, but it would never be a classical 4 cause there are no books left for that..
      > _But then the world becomes empty, most of the characters you got to know and love or hate are gone, and you do start feeling sad._
I was devastated at this moment. Literally not knowing what to do with my life.

"They throw you into this world, and you become part of that world, more so than in any other game." This is exactly what they did in Shenmue.
This whole thing of making the game "alive" where you become part of it feeling and you feel like the npc are your friends or family is what they did in Shenmue back then in 1999 where each NPC had unique dialog and programmed daily schedule you could see them get out of their home in the morning for work then head back home at night. Witcher was greatly influenced by Shenmue you can clearly see it, especially the whole making game alive and family feel. That is why CDPR publicity thanked Shenmue for innovating the concept of "Open world games"

When I finished this game along with DLCs I just started to sail in the Skellige and was listening to the song Apex
from Existence by Aleks Michalski (axen.bandcamp.com/track/apex ).
I got good ending but it was quite emotional and devastating cause I felt crushed and betrayed by Ciri so I decided to sail to nowhere. Unforgettable experience.

I'd heard good things about it, but I didn't know it was part of a big series and didn't know it was based on a book series. But when I played it, I instantly fell in love. This game is just so fucking captivating in every way. There is yet to be a game that tops this masterpiece in my eyes.

There's always that one book, movie or game that leaves you with that warm memories about them, and that feeling is so unique. No other game made me feel the way witcher 3 did, and even though i'm always excited to come back and switch it on again, it also makes me sad, because i know that this feeling will only stay as a memory.
