Hey Magz, don’t forget that Corvettes have a blind spot. At least they did back in the day. Not sure if that’s still the case in this new version. If I remember correctly, in the original TIE Fighter, if you came in directly behind a Corvette, their turbo lasers couldn’t hit you because their engines were in the way. At least that was the case with standard corvettes. Modified corvettes had more turrets and could usually still score hits. It’s been 25 years or more so my memory is a little fuzzy.

A little hard to hear you over the game in this one. But those poor guys in the Tie fighters. Just one blurb of the trigger and they evaporate, lol. I don't know, after watching the Defender running around and obliterating 50 of my friends, I might be pretty compelled to just go the heck home, lol...
Little hard to hear you on this one, but you asked about why didn't they gut the factories before the coup attempt. I think Zaarin was arrogant enough to think his initial coup would've been successful (it pretty much almost was), therefore he would not need to cripple or strip the factories, because he now owns them anyway. Its only after the coup failed he switched to hitting where it hurts in order to maintain his advantage while he figured out another way to achieve his goals.

It would probably also be a bit of a give away that he was up to something if his factories all started to be sabotaged when other units other than his own were supposed to be equipped with their products^^

I love that at the end of the briefing, your ship icon jumps away, but the friendly TIEs are still there, left unable to escape.
They're expendable. Maybe next time they should be handpicked by the secret order.

The 90s star wars flight games were just too overwhelming for me. I enjoy watching people play them, but Rogue Squadron and Squadrons are more my level.
I have the same issue with RTS games, I just feel overwhelmed
God I wish someone talented would make like a 1 season TV series covering something like this plot. Follow a tie fighter pilot or officer of some sort desperately responding to this coup. have the imperial POV characters the underdogs caught on their back foot.
Write a synopsis and pitch it to Disney =)

I tried squadrons. It’s was pretty, but it was poorly adapted console-trash plopped upon PC.

Clear you were talking... but not what you were saying. Battle sound effects might be set too high as the rest of the time we hear you just fine.
You were very difficult to understand during the fights.
Also, your voiceover sound levels are really low in this vid.
