Good to see you again! Just so you know, the reduction I gave Magz here was a straight up -75% reduction in severity as a test, I agree its probably too far the other way right now but proves we can certainly make missile spam less annoying as far as impacts go!
Regarding your suggestion on pitch/roll axis, we only have 2 variables to control unfortunately based on the original code:
ImpactSpinningSpeedFactorPercent - The severity of your spin based on your speed (faster you are, the stronger it gets)
ImpactSpinningAngleFactorPercent - The added severity of your spin on top of your speed depending on the angle you are hit from - This one might give the spin mechanic some greater RNG by making this reduction far less. Its something I need to play with.
Right now I'm thinking of setting the overall severity per ship based on their weight. So heavy fighters and bombers have much less spin than lighter ones.
That could work, My thinking here was that you need a counter-play to the spin mechanic but at the same time you don't want the spin mechanic to be so easy to counter that that it feels almost pointless, A fine balancing act when you have core limitations but I'm sure you'll nail it.
As I did say though this did feel a lot better than standard.
