I know the game's not exactly performing as intended, but I do find the image of a bunch of PLAN sailors choosing to beach their ships and raise the flag on some island before they can get killed by a sub to be very hilarious.

Glad all is well and as to getting away from that island that IL-38 doesnt look to happy that you are roaming about...
At the end of the video you mentioned being disappointed with the quantity of enemies met during engagements, one solution for this would be adjusting the number of vessels for each mission in the campaign folder and the necessary vesselselector file. If you want to look to other campaigns then I'd suggest checking out the Royal Canadian Navy campaign for DotMod, groups in that campaign are usually far larger and use superior subs (as in Kilos, Sierras, Akulas, and Yasens).
If he's thinking there's not enough enemies then he should do less well at the game haha

I appreciate that the wire is still attached after the torp went clear across to the other side of the island.
By the way if the wire is still attached you can manually control the torp and ignore countermeasures. I believe it was number keypad to manually control it once its selected.

Not sure if you know but you can hit 4 to activate a torp vs adjusting the nav point close to the torp. Apologies if you know this already.

If you're worried about running out of torpedoes, why not just sneak away from the enemy fleets? You don't have to sink every target you find.
If I don’t sink the fleets they remain on the global map, since I am trapped in a bottleneck between islands that I have to pass through if I don’t sink them I'll exit the zone, return to the global map and then immediately be thrown back into a battle in the same location against the same fleet because I have no choice but to pass through this area.
By this point i don't even remember what the objective was
