Handle bar grips, I would personally slightly warm them up headlight side first try gently and open them up and try and get some washing up liquid down there( leave to soak in), maybe use two or three extremely thin shims and gently pull ( while warming up the rest of the grip, (more haste and less speed) good luck
As far as I know, that speedo worn should have been plastic on a metal speedo worm. Metal on metal could grind one of them away within a few hundred yards, I’ve done it.
@@kickbackgarage I had a S2 TV175 hub like the one you did with the metal drive. I used a metal worm but it just ground up. Yes, it might not have been compatible but it might have originally had a plastic worm. I think MB stopped selling metal worms or did do at one point. Good luck with it. I loved seeing both videos, the full strip down and rebuild job has been a mystery to me for years.
Nice video...Any thoughts on using the TS brake pad rounder tool to round them in before installation? Also what's your take on the Casa Lambretta top tapered bearing set?
Ya I got a set (top/bottom) from Casa Lambretta and just starting to install and while looking for installation videos noticed on EBAY a top tapered bearing as well...@@kickbackgarage
Great vid Rob & progressing well mate 👍👍

I have been told that they were metal on the tv series 2 and I have used metal from mb in the past. Maybe you had 2 that weren't compatible 🤷

Well done Rob, looking amazing. Loving the patina. Working Solo...😂
It's all "Hans" on deck in the next video! 🤣 We even set fire to the garage....twice!
She’s coming on nicely , hot water might get the grips off or even a hot air gun used carefully?

Could you not use anchor was on the bottom of the frame
We want something a little more permanent, l think.
Im from sri lanka
Hammerite on the bottom of the frame or Waxyoil it ?
Why not undercarriage coating that is made for the job? It won't be seen once fully built.
