@@darthradon No it does not actually, the cone effect appears when an aircraft is in a humid environment and approaches the speed of sound, in which case the aircraft's shock wave will create variations in air pressure around the aircraft, causing the water molecules in the air to condensate and form a vapour cone. It has nothing to do with sonic booms, and will usually only occur on a warm humid day over the ocean, just before the aircraft reaches the transonic stage.
Just go DCS World and Fly past, and then take a slow loop around, the sonic booms in the distance are awesome! Even more so when you literally hear exact same stuff happen on a daily basis in the distance.

@@George.Coleman IIRC the Typhoon is very controversial in flight sim community. For accurate developers you can look at PMDG or Fenix Simulation. There are open source community called FlyByWire with their A32NX A320. It is quite accurate but still missing some features.
kinda cool but sound is wrong, you would not hear any jet noises at all if you were in front of a plane going supersonic, the thing is in front of the sound barrier hence why it is broken, you could be in front of the jet a few feet and you wouldnt hear the jet (yes ignoring all the wind noise you would get from traveling so fast.)
im pretty sure thats not why theres 2 booms tho. I think the first one is when the pressure cone hits you and the second is when the pressure returns to normal

You can't hear the sonic boom if you are inside the plane. Only outside
If you go to third person, you do hear the sonic boom by circling the camera around the plane :)

You probably have to deactivate the ''follow with drone'' mode, otherwise the camera is locked on the aircraft and you cannot move it freely.
