Great review Aron. You brought up a very good point regarding the 7S26 movement when it comes to accuracy. An example is when I wear my 013 for the first 2-3 days, I may average 12-13 seconds/day As I keep wearing it for a couple of weeks, it averages 6-7 seconds/day.
Absolutely spot on. The 7s26 is a "working class" movement. It loves to be worn. That is really what i believe they designed this movement around. Cheers 😎👍👊

Cracking vid got myself a BFK then on seeing your 009 had to get it , they are by far the best out there in terms of looks , history, and they work hard , job done ,want an orange one know , love your work ,and my son use’s it to dive to the bottom of the bath with his snorkel on looking for soap 😀

Excellent points about the SKX. I'd like to add a couple of more, as I've been wearing my 007 quite a lot lately and I've been trying to determine what it is about this essentially obsolete watch that makes it so special.
1. I really think that the 46 mm lug-to-lug measurement is a big factor in its popularity. Like the Tuna, it wears smaller than its specs indicate. Smaller-wristed owners can wear it comfortably, and the 31.8 mm diameter of the dial doesn't overwhelm the case.
2. The watch has a near-perfect blend of polished and brushed surfaces. The polished hands set out beautifully against the inky black (007) or blue 9009) dial, giving maximum legibility. The silver numbers on the bezel have just the right amount of contrast unlike the pure white of many other watches with black or Pepsi bezels. The watch looks just right for what it is, a tool watch that has nearly unlimited versatility that can also look dressy when on a jubilee bracelet. I've had my SXK007 on nearly every strap material known to man: perlon, rubber, silicone, sailcloth, canvas, nylon, leather, and stainless steel and I have yet to find a combination that didn't look good. It is truly remarkable.
I just went through a purge of my Seiko divers (Tuna and Turtle are gone), but I kept my SXK because it is just almost magical in design. Yeah, the 7S26's lack of hand-winding really bugs me as it is nearly always dead in my watch box in the morning, but I'll put up with it because the design is just so gosh-darn good and it acts as the strap monster in my collection. Whatever my mood is for a strap for the day, the SKX is up to the task.

Bought a 013 Mod with NH 36 movement, sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel inlet and a quality nylon/ leather strap. Around € 550.-. The original watch had raised to 379.- here in 02/20.

I picked up a skx017 for £36. Lucky find. Looks very similar to this watch apart from the chapter ring which has a small notch at the date.

Aron your right Seiko makes some really great watches and movements, which leads me to why I don’t own a SKX, most of my watches
have Seiko NH35 movements, hacking and hand winding, which I personally prefer.

NH35 is not a Seiko movement ; it's a clone made after Seiko 4r36 movement.
On a serious note , I have an orange dial 7002 , also a brand new 5 sports, sold my skx don’t want another ,, I don’t dive , only on the sofa , and I like hand winding and hacking cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
