They should have had him guess the password wrong 3 times on the terminal then get up and sit back down on the terminal like we do in the game

Another fun fact: The guy representing Big MT at the Vault-Tec meeting was Frederick Sinclair, owner of the Sierra Madre casino, which is the setting of the Dead Money DLC from New Vegas. Big MT (or the Big Empty, as it's referred to post-war) is also the setting of the Old World Blues DLC.
Yeah, when House says "you could lose money on a casino" that was a reference to Dead Money

@@TalosBjorn No, it is a reference to Vault 21 which is located on the strip in New Vegas. It is pretty much confirmed from that statement that he owned it since the Vault's rules were that there was to be no overseer and everyone settled disagreements by gambling.

There is a lot more than just ten things. The Rad X in the shop. The Red Rocket Gas Station. The dog referred to as Dog Meat. Vault 33's outer door is from New Vegas. The inaccuracy of the Turrets shooting at things. The list goes on of things only fans would know.

The password Hank enters near the end of episode 8, 101097, was the release date of Fallout.

I have been playing Fallout games since 1997. The show did almost everything perfectly in my opinion. It's very obvious that someone with intimate knowledge of the games had a big part in the making of this show. There were a couple of moments where I felt like I was playing Fallout while watching the show. I can't say enough good things about Walton Goggins as the ghoul. He added SO much to it with his very dry and dark comedy. Hell, Prime could make a spinoff just about his character and I would happily watch it! Looking forward to season 2!!!!

So then you noticed the retcon of Shady Sands, Vaults 4, 13, 15, Boneyard, the character of the BoS.
The show is heavily based on fallout 3 and fans want things to be better than perfect. In most cases every critics is questioning if the egg came before the chicken
@@robertagren9360really? To me at least, it seems be an expansion on Fallout than being based on the games, from its visual style and representation. I mean, there’s even nice references and callbacks of the old Fallout games like the Fallout 1 10mm Pistol, the Water Chip, and so many other references I’ve might have missed because I’m new to the community. Anyways, I think this is just an expansion than adaptation.

It's too bad that René Auberjonois has passed away since 2019. I would've loved to see him reprise Mr. House IRL. They'd probably have to digitally de-age him but still. His voice is iconic imo.

That and he wanting to see Benny again!? Benny is long gone, killed by the player or captured by legion, there is a way to save him, but lets be honest almost everyone kills him at the first chance, there is no way he will survive New Vegas in the lore.
And when in any game does jet increase strength? And any mention of it causing hallucinations? That's new to me

In case you have noticed, Mr. House doesn't gamble. He has already won the game before you have met him, regardless of the game.
He calculates the odds on everything and bases his plans on that. He made a bet once, which was to acquire Vault 22 so he could fill the lower levels with concrete, since the vault was close to his casino and some access tunnels ran from the vault to the casino. The bet itself was a coin toss, as that was the directive for that specific vault. A good example of him calculating is when you go for the House ending and he tells you the odds of Oliver and Kimball staying on in the NCR and the possibility of them committing suicide.
The fact that he got to decide what the experiment for Vault 21 was means that he had been planning to win all of its resources for himself from the beginning. That and he made sure that they didn't make any dangerous bioweapons or unstable reactor experiments in the heart of his empire.

We need more people like this working on game adaptations to screen, as in, actual fans of the game who know their shit instead of Hollywood knobheads who just roughly know what they're dealing with
Ps: I know this kind of butchers fallout NV, however this takes place in 2296, a full 15 years after new Vegas and fallout 4 so god knows what happened to it during those years

Yeah, this show isn’t a good adaptation seeing how it basically destroyed New Vegas lore among other things.
The main reason this and last of us worked is the fact that the had the creators involved very in depth
@@Ashkihyena It did not. FNV takes place in 2281 and the bomb was dropped on Shady Sands in 2282. Todd Howard himself said that New Vegas is still canon.

While the show follows Lucy "15 years after the events of New Vegas," when we see Mr. House in the series, it was in a flashback before the war, which would be about 200 years ago. So, there would still be more than enough time for Mr. House to become computerized like we see in the New Vegas game.

New Vegas is my absolute favorite fallout game. I've gone back to it more than any other fallout game
there was also a super mutant hand showing on a body being wheeled away in episode 2 when Wilzig is trying to get back to his lab with puppy Dogmeat
So they at least tried including super mutants but it probably wasn't practical. Interesting!
You forgot the new vegas theme when Lucy finds the NCR flag in the vault. And also the deathclaw skull at the end of the last episode!
So Coop has Lucy's finger sewn on, Lucy has someone else's finger attached, Maximus had a Fiend tooth in his arm, Thaddeus drank FEV possibly. And Lucy's last "Okey Dokey" is very deep and wicked with a focused look on her face after she put her mother out of her misery now knowing what her Dad did to her mother. Season 2 is gonna be good. To quote Wilzig, " the question is, how will the surface make you different."
Lucy's montage where she is giving her case as to why she should be approved for finding a vault 32 mate is actually her S.P.E.C.I.A.L
also with every Lucy kill she get more armor pieces she is looting the raiders

Not sure if this is an actual reference or maybe coincidence, but every time characters partnered up or travelled together, it was always in pairs, just like in the games - when you want to switch companions, you could only have one at a time. Seemed to happen too many times for it to be just a coincidence, but maybe I'm reading too much into it?
My wife couldn't understand when I broke out laughing and saying, "Heck Yeah! We're Goin' to Vegas, Baby!" at the end of the series...

I still remember going to New Vegas for the first time and save load cheating to make sure I always hit the jackpot on the slot machines. After I won enough I was asked to leave so I did then came back with my guns in hand and ransacked the casino.

At some point I wish they would a pick location that has never been used in the games for the TV show. So far, the Fallout games have been set in California, New Vegas, Washington DC, Pittsburgh, on board a UFO, Boston, Anchorage (Alaska), and West Virginia. Future seasons of the TV show may stick with these existing locations. Brand new locations will probably be reserved for Fallout 5 (which probably won't come out in 10 years).

It wasn't jet that was used. It was psycho. Jet slows time down.
I was thinking the same thing, but then realized that he had it right. It was the show that might have gotten it wrong. The effects looked more like psycho for sure, but psycho is injected while jet is an inhaler with a red bottle.
Jet only visually slows down time for the user; to other people, the jet user is just moving faster than normal and reacting faster than normal, It doesn't increase strength. I also don't know how the watchmojo guy even quantified a strength gain; nobody says he was stronger nor did he do anything to display any strength gains.
