The fallout TV show is really great, I enjoyed watching it.
Btw;
Also there was a wanted poster depicting a super mutant amongst other wanted posters in the mayor's office where the bounty hunter was questioned by the new mayor of shady sands.
They do show a Super Mutant, you can see his hand hanging from the gurney he's being transported on.
You guys don't know shit about fuck.
@@PrettyNightmare69 Oh yeah, at the enclave base, did saw that but didn't realise, good eye 👀😂👍
Awesomeness
Mojo didn’t do its homework
I agree it is like they don't realize there is some stuff from video games that won't transition well into a live action movie or TV series
They usually don't...
They're flat out wrong about several things in this video... also they do show a super mutant. You see it being wheeled out and it's hand is hanging out.
it never has
never will
it is clap trap garbage
At least one of the games revealed that Vault-Tec was involved in starting the war, so they could run their experiments... I seem to remember reading that on one of the computer terminals in a quest somewhere. I mean, it's been years since I played the game in a serious way, but I played Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4, and I'm pretty sure that the war of 2077 was revealed as a plan by Vault-Tec to begin their experiments, and I'm pretty sure I read it on one of those computer terminals with the green text.
tell me you've never played any fallout without telling me you've never played, I'm almost convinced you didn't even watch the show!
I did play all the games and watch the show, which was trash. I mean he knew the only people that ran those vaults were Vault Tec employees(done by the mind control stuff in their food) but still let literal strangers in? and also knew the username and password to top secret technology they never used? Certainly didn't know the username and password of that unless they literally make it the same for all of them... which is just them shit talking Fallout by their bad writing... which this show shows they have lol
@@b00nz0r Well you didn't play far enough in or only stuck to the main storyline because at least 2 vaults in Fallout 4 opened up to the "outside" for trade. Play the games for real and come back with your findings.

Literally.. I came on here to say this.. lol
There are no super mutant in the tv series, there's only 8 hours they can't put everything the game has in a span of 8 hours and still make a coherent and good show
In episode 2, around the time Siggi is leaving the Enclave, you can see what looks like a Super Mutant hand.
@@TEXAN_SHADOW corrected just for you.
It is heavily implied in the games that vault tec dropped the bombs...
In the show they only say america dropped the bombs on themselves, not started the war. Which was the perfect route to go imo

They beat you about the head with "hints" sometimes.

The whole armour cleaning thing was that specific knight; to show how awful he is; not an expected knight/squire thing.
I dn't think the brands are custom either. All the 'T' or possibly a cross.
Yes and no. Historically, one of a squire's duties was maintaining the equipment of the knight they were apprenticed to. While accurate in that regard, the show twists this by showing Titus being a prick about it, and the Brotherhood knights treating their squires like pack mules similarly to how player characters do with companions in the games. I can see this as the sort of change where the OG game developers see this in the show and go "Damn, I should of thought of that." ;-)
At least the knight treats the squire better than the player would to his/her settlers...
The player would have the settlers do all the work then he/she would drop by time to time to grab all the goods...
It actually IS known that Ghouls can turn feral. Some after a few months, some after centuries.
The chem Cooper takes wasnt known to me
Within 2 entries I realized nobody involved in this video has played the games. Only researched topics from them. And that makes me sad. WatchMojo was my GoTo for years and now I almost cringe at every video from the surprising lack of knowledge
I knew by the thumbnail alone lol
The way he said prydwen 😂
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh a secretary to a sales woman knew the username and password to top secret technology from the other side of the country that they never used.............
Yeah. In a world where people have cellphones, smart watches, smart glasses and smart fridges, the concept of a pip boy really needs explaining. lol.
To people not familiar with the franchise, yes, it does
@@jasondavis2995 Why? Elaborate why people need to be explained the concept of a mobile computer on your arm? It would made sense if the TV show had come in 1998 after the first game was released, but in 2024? Please. enlighten me.
This is a retro futuristic universe. No smartphones
The world of Fallout is an alternative history where the internet was never invented and. So small gadgets like cell phones were never created.
Fallouts universe split off in 1945 and became more atomic based everything. Transistors I think dont exist in fallouts world, they were invented in 1947 as well as a few other things that arent in this world.
A super mutant wanted poster can be seen in the background plus the scene with the enclave teases a super mutant hand
Also all ghouls have a possibility of eventually turning feral with enough brain deterioration, it’s mentioned several times in games
Cooper's being careful about it is his personal choice. It's the in-series explanation for the lesser degradation/transformation of his flesh, but that's a shout-out to Mysterious Serums as we've seen in several Fallout games.
Yes, maybe Cooper will better explain in Ep 2 that like the first 100 years, he didn't need any drugs but after a while, his brain started to deteriorate.
with the supermutants, they are teased a little when the corperation leaders were brainstroming in what to to in the vaults. one of them said supersoldier experiments in a vault. so they are probably gonna be in season 2. when they get an even bigger budget for the cgi probably
It’s called context. Not everything needed to be spelt out, and watching the show fleshes everything out very well.
yesssss why is MojoPlay like this
This show just talked shit on Fallout, if you didn't know that then you don't know Fallout. They're changing the story and making it basically like Game of Thrones, you like how that show ended?
@@b00nz0rI can’t believe I’m answering a comment on the internet, but we don’t have to hate on a show just because. I ‘know fallout’, and I really enjoyed the show. Every game fleshes out more, there are always changes and additions. It’s ok not to nitpick and destroy something and just enjoy it. I thought they did a great job transitioning, no it’s not a game we can play and out 300 hours into, it’s 8 hours of a show, and for that it’s fun to me. I know people didn’t like GoT ending, I never watched the show, but let’s just enjoy eh? And if we don’t, that’s fine, don’t have to yuck someone’s yum.
I think they were masterful when they dropped their "war never changes" line. I had been anticipating it. I thought they forgot, but when and where they did it amplified the effect for me.
Wait did i watched a different show but this stuff was explored in the show. They talk about how pipboys were acquire from robco and how the war took a global stage as US forces pushed the reds out of other countries and they even mention alaska and the use of power armor. Squires were in fallout 4 and its stablished that this is a more orthodox version of the brotherhood. Like wtf am I the only one confused about this video?
The problem with WatchMojo is they outsource. The presenter does not actually watch or consume the media. So they will confidently say something like "Supermutants were not in the show" while showing a Supermutant.
I just watch them because I like top 10s, not because they are accurate.
@@cmike123 You mean when they showed the alien under the blanket? YOU don't know that he basically said this exact thing because you weren't paying attention. A secretary to a salesperson knew top secret information about a hidden technology Vault Tec never used....
Barb Cooper says War Never Changes in Either episode 6, 7 or 8
As for why the Brotherhood of Steel are so different than anything in the games, it could be explained that this is just how this chapter of the brotherhood evolved. Like after they lost control of the wasteland, or the radical medieval change made them lose their power in the first place.
I was a bit surprised with all the Roman names... But there is an interesting theory out there that could explain this and the "new" flavour of the brotherhood
Yeah they didn’t take in any count time line and how things can change and evolve. This is not a tv show about fallout 3 or 4, it’s its own canon set after all those events. But what does watch mojo know
@@user-kz4ir5ux9f it is a show sequal to fallout 1 and 2 though. and season 2 will be a sequal to new vegas. the brotherhood in that area is pretty well fleshed out and is nothing like that. fallout 2 is set in 2241 so all i can give them is that something happened in the 55 years that changed that chapter of the brotherhood after the "destruction" but apparently not of the enclave.
@@fergusharris9526 well fair. But I mean don’t think we can be extra picky since even between games they changed stuff

Thaddeus could become the show's Super Mutant, despite their claims of him turning into a ghoul after ingesting that sussy liquid from "that" guy.
I’m assuming this BOS has been isolated that they have kind of lost their way with the corruption of these Elders who probably weren’t on good terms with Elder Maxson
Here's what I see concerning the BoS:
In FNV, there's a very small continent of BoS in a bunker near the NCRCF, and they were nearly on their last legs. Definitely less people than we saw at the training camp where we first see Maximus, Thaddeus, and Dane.
At the end of the show we see a fairly ruined looking New Vegas. To me, this implies the 'Yes Man' ending is what happened, thus wrecking both the NCR troops in the region as well as Caesar's Legion. What if Quintus is a remnant of Caesar's Legion? Maybe co-opted the small remnant of The Brotherhood. That's why the knights have servants and all the Latin names
"The brotherhood lost it's way" is something said, almost verbatim, multiple times in the show, and people are still going "BUT THIS ISN'T THE BROTHERHOOD I REMEMBER"
@@jackmorris7755 This is what I am thinking too. This seems more like the Legion and Brotherhood mixed after the events of New Vegas.
You literally showed the super mutant reference on the next entry. What do you mean no super mutants? We got sizzle, a sous sant of super mutant if you will.
I don't think the bombs fell in 2277 because the math doesn't add up to the ages of the Lucy and Maximus in the show by the year 2096. It's more than likely that in 2277 was the beginning of the downfall for Shady Sands that left it vulnerable in defending itself from people like Vault Tech. We still don't know how the bombs was dropped and where they had that bomb stored. More than likely Mauldaver is not the true leader of the NCR but a face of the revolution given her cult like status from some of the people at vault 4. We still don't know when she was awoken to become a leader in the NCR
In Fallout 76 there's bunkers where you can launch a ground to air nuke. If Vault tech has control over vaults like that it would be super easy and it fits into the timeline easy
@@xboxgamer1027 that could be I think though since we don't know all about the other vaults maybe they might have hidden bombs everywhere that only a select few know about. It makes the scene when Betty talked to Norman about burying the mom even more scary.
They are like 24 or 25 so the math is right. Lucy said in the first episode she and her cousin make out for 10 years. She isn’t 18 or 20.
@@katharina8963 yeah your right I thought she was like younger. However since they weren't specific about it perhaps they will redcon it for later seasons in order for it to fit the lore.
In the games the ghouls are repeatedly stated to always eventually go feral. Is anything in this video correct?
That's not 100% true. There is always that possibility and fear of that happening because no one seems to know why or how they go feral. We don't know if it truly is all of them going feral eventually or just some since we don't know why it happens at all.
in the show, shady sands is shown in a billboard to be the first capital of the ncr, sure lots of people died but not the entire population of ncr, i think it is safe to say they relocated and more of this will be disclosed in the second season with vault 4 and new vegas being a lot more involved; i believe the lore stands
Exactly. There are more cities than just Shady Sands in the NCR. There’s Arroyo, New Reno, Vault City, Navarro, The Hub, & so many other places.
There’s no way the NCR could fully be destroyed. Hell, one of the biggest issues that they had in New Vegas was that they were spreading themselves too thin.
I believe they are saving the super mutants for later seasons. when you have things like Power armor and a bunch or other cg heavy effects it would be hard to add them as well. but since the show was a Major hit you know their budget just went up so hopfully by season 2 we will get super mutants and possibly Death Claws.
I hardly doubt the show is going to do well enough for them to decide to make another season
@@SuperDogBro3didn't they confirm a second season before the first came out?
@@SuperDogBro3 😆 Pretty sure they've already greenlit the next two seasons. The show's at like 94% on rottentomatoes. It's doing exceedingly well.
There will be a second season. There will be super mutants. They’ve already shown a super mutant on a gurney covered in a sheet with its hand sticking out and a super mutant on a wanted poster
The person who wrote this video watched the Fallout series while using the phone and scrolling through Instagram.
So the secretary to a saleswoman knew top secret information about technology the company didn't even make and not on that side of the country? That is the viewing this show holds up to. He also let strangers into his Vault when he knows the leader is supposed to be someone from Vault Tec from the brainwashing they had in their food. This show isn't written well lol
there is a theory that vault tech is the one who start it. I think the bomb in the megatown ? in FO3 is from vault tech
megaton
it is.
Well considering we saw Cooper’s wife say in the meeting with the other corps that they were gonna drop the bombs themselves it’s more than just a theory.
If you check it closely, it a different logo, it might resemble it, but it’s not.
Besides, it was world war 3, many nukes have been sent all over the globe and mainly to China, it is most likely like in any war, that there were at least a couple who were unexploded ordnance from misfires on each side.
There was a wanted poster depicting a super mutant hanging among other wanted posters in the mayor's office when the bounty hunter was questioned by the new mayor of shady sands, would that count?😅
I think since this is the latest timeline related to the games the show is trying to show us how more cultish and strict the Brotherhood of Knights is becoming as the war with the factions is changing. Also they could be using squires because they could be running out of resources and armored suits showing a level of decline.
The Enclave's greatest weapon is secrecy. We have no idea how big their organization actually is, or how many bases of operations they have across the Wasteland.
There may have been more enclave remnants than originally thought.
Exactly! The country is a big place, idk why everyone is so finite with things like this. We don’t always see EVERYTHING especially when in a game like new Vegas. There’s a ton of space west, where they could still have installations. People just want to complain and be right. Why are we watching WatchMojo lol they’re so bad
@@JackpotToys also how did you enjoy the show?
I don't see why that concept is so far-fetched for some. There are Brotherhood groups that ceased to exist in some parts of the US, but that doesn't mean all other groups ceased to exist as well. I'm sure that a faction as well-established and with as many resources as the Enclave has thriving groups throughout the US.
@@jhuerta2240 there could also be more ncr remnants out there too considering how big of a government they established, at least in theory.
Enclave Destroyed in 2... Brought back in 3 and destroyed again... Brought back in the show and people are like HEY YOU CANT DO THAT! Umm yeah its actually really common to bring back destroyed "Bad Guys" for continued sequels, very very common to the point its probably trope status. If Fallout 5 was released instead of this TV show and it had the Enclave in it would people really be upset? I wouldnt, they make a great villain. Also didnt they add more references of the Enclave into the update they just released for F4 (Havent played new update yet waiting for some patches)? The Enclave is back, it is what it is.
You'll need to take ZombreX if you play as a ghoul in survival mode in Fallout 5
The fact that I could probably go point by point through this video and counter or outright prove wrong each individual item that the video listed is just a testament to what a joke Mojo is as a channel.
Thanks for the algorithm recommendation CZcams.
The scene when Wiltzig was escaping the enclave there is a brief moment where a super mutants arm is visible on a gurney. The games especially fallout 1 definitely goes into how a ghoul can turn feral at anytime. Also I believe its in a terminal in either the repcon site in New Vegas or its actually from Jason Bright that it eluded to them turning. Yet no mention of some ghoul serum. Also its made clear that Vault-tec dropped the bombs in almost every game. Especially since megatons nuke has a vault-tec symbol.
what a half assed list.
There was a clip of a super mutant hand in the enclave clip you showed when the 2 enclave guys are pushing the gurney. There are also other enclaves of The Enclave in Chicago. Yes the oil rig was destroyed, but they also had a navy. Hancock took an experimental serum to become a ghoul, maybe they found something prewar that helps, or mixed some stuff to produce it. There has always been a theory that vault tech started the war. The fall of shadybsands refers to, and coincides with the first battle of hoover dam, then a few years later, AFTER new vegas, shady sands was nuked. The ncr isn't gone, shady sands was "the first capitol" of the ncr, they moved after shady sands became overly corrupt and ended up getting nuked. Vega isn't destroyed, hank if going to meet house, they wouldn't have showed house in the board meeting scene if they weren't going to bring him back, cooper's wife looks like one of Mr. House's securitrons, everyone is freaking over the date on the chalkboard. Rome didn't fall on a day, it was a gradual decline. Look up the definition of fall.... there is more than one. They've stated that new vegas is canon, they've obviously canonized the brotherhoods wins in fo3-4, they're gunna canonize one of the new vegas ending. They moved a few locations so it'd be easier for the show to take place over a week or 2 instead of months, or say, idk, thousands of hours that gamers put into the games. The show got a 9/10. Everyone needs to chill out
A.I. Wrote the script for this video
I was also surprised by the lack of super mutants.
But... in the games there were also places that didn't have super mutants.
The pitt, point lookout, zion, Big MT, Sierra Madre ( except for DOG/GOD ) and far harbour to name a few.
It’s the first season cut it some slack
It's probably going to be the only season since they haven't been any mentioned of them deciding to make another season
@@SuperDogBro3 There has been plenty of mention about it.
@@SuperDogBro3 Yea S2 was announced before S1 was out
@@SuperDogBro3 where do you idiots come from?

I don’t hold high expectations for the gaming side of Mojo so honestly I was just watching because I love the games and the show lol. I mean listen to how they pronounce “Prydwen” at 3:41
The games say it was vault tec that planned to drop the bombs. The show merely makes it mildly more likely that they actually did.
Tell me youve never played fallout with out saying yyouve never played fallout. "Mojo - hold my beer "
Folks are forgetting: These factions are not connected across the country. They can’t communicate with each other with instant updates. So, if a garrison of a NCR is destroyed at one part country. Doesn’t mean they are ALL gone. Also, there’s different types of Brotherhood Of Steel.
Makes me wonder who makes these vids....
The BOS on the West Coast seem to be a split off faction than what we see on the east Coast. The West Coast have always been more militant and fanatical than East coast, though Maxson brought in more of that after he took over the East Coast.
Super Mutants are teased in the show - you see a hand in the Enclave enclosure and a poster of a wanted one on the Govern-mint. Im sure they will appear in the next season. Marcus will most likely appear seeing as New Vegas appears at the end.
The Enclave like most governments will have plenty of 'enclaves' left over. They probably wanted to appear destroyed....
The ghouls have always been a curiosity of how they come to be and there are probably plenty of variations..natural exposure to radiation, Westtek drugs, etc etc. this is probably a variation of how ghouls are made.
It's always been suggested that Vault Tec started the war. Now it's confirmed and it makes total sense.
The games have always been anti corporation. Every corp in game is shown as a bad guy.
Shady Sands was the FIRST capitol of the NCR... Vault Tec would never let a competitor take over. The NCR isnt just Shady Sands.
You cant shoehorn everything into one season.
I agree with everything you said here except that it's confirmed that Vault Tec dropped the bombs. The only thing confirmed was they discussed it. It also solidified when and why most vaults went from being just bomb shelters to weird experiments.
@@cmike123 You're right. It isnt 100% confirmed that they did (yet, but i bet we will see it happen in a future season.)

Wow, they finally made a great adaptation, after all, no one puts up with superhero movies anymore. Now let's wait for Zelda and GOW's live action
I don‘t think the „T“ branding is specifically for Titus. All the armors probably have a „T“ on their hands, because they‘re from the T-series
Nah I think different knights get different brands yk
@@tomasmoreno6169 could also be. Thaddeus made a comment about him and „Titus“ being the „T-Boys“. For historical knights is was important who knighted them, so the letter could help with that.
But I still like to think the letter is on the gauntlet because of the armors manufacturing line.
This show should’ve been called:
“Fallout: The plot holes thicken”
It's like Mojo does not realize not everything from video games transition well into either a live action movie or live action series
..................... no, this was bad writers that are a staple in our shows from nepotism and capitalistic greed. A secretary to a sales woman, the main badguy of the show, knows top secret information about technology the company he worked for never used. Like I said, it's bad writing by people who want to make a name for themselves and that's the main thing they're focused on.
I liked how the squires were essentially a caddy for all of the knights gear, lugging around an oversized golf bag.
Regarding Ghouls, it's always been implied that ghouls become feral when exposed to enough radiation, and all ghouls (feral or not) heal via radiation. The more time ghouls spend in the wasteland, soaking up radiation, the sooner they seem to go feral. The games never explain how radaway effects ghouls, but I took the TV show's serum to be something like "radaway for ghouls", in that they can soak up radiation to heal (hence why The Ghoul/Cooper lets himself get hurt so much) and then use the serum to reduce the radiation and not go feral, while staying healed.
It's just my interpretation of the show, and nothing in the games references any kind of serum to prevent going feral, so they definitely made it up, but it would kinda fit. I hope if they make another season, they explain stuff like the serum better, but I won't hold my breath.
on every blackboard that shows a timeline of a nuclear explosion, you see important events with dates and then an explosion. It's been mentioned in interviews that the Shady Sands timeline is that something caused the fall of Shady Sands in 2277 and then sometime later a nuclear explosion happened.
I was quite upset when I didn’t hear “War. War never changes” within the first few moments of the first episode, but I was happy with the way they added.
They’ve been doing a great job with environmental story-telling and also explaining things we see throughout the show to newcomers. I hope they continue to do so. I don’t expect anyone who is in charge of which direction an entire show takes to adhere to the source material strictly. I can imagine they’d have to change it up to make it “theirs”. Usually people in these positions have a serious God complex.
They did something way better to the Fallout lore than to begin the show with the same “War never changes” quote and the mini story of the Great War. They explained plain and simple who drop the bombs first and that is beautiful to me.
It doesn't say VaultTech did it, they were just discussing/planning. I doubt Barb would let her daughter be outside when they dropped.
Also, the Fall and nuking arent necessarily concurrent (otherwise, why have the arrow between them?)
Yeah your right, looking at the ages of Lucy and Maximus the bomb was probably not dropped in 2277. I like how the show doesn't feel the need to spell that out for us the viewers but expects us to use our brains to fill in the blanks of what happened.
@@isaaclopez-eb6ygThe bombs dropped in 2077. The show takes places in 2294.
@@smason3008 Im talking about the bomb on Shady Sands not the first bombs. The show actually takes place in 2296
It's been hinted at that Vault tech were the ones who dropped the nukes in Fallout 3 Megaton. There are still nukes in existence like in Fallout 76 where you can literally launch your own nuke. So if Vault Tech has military power like they have shown multiple times who's to say they can't do it whenever they want to.
@@xboxgamer1027 yeah it's made even worse by the fact that they ( Vault-Tech) believe the world belongs to them and they can do whatever they want to those who are not them
The ghouls wife literally says the line “was never changes “ in a flashback in one of the later episodes. Fair enough it’s not at the start but worth a mention if you’re gonna try and put the show down for it
First words of every single one of their games. Could have had her being a teacher saying it and saying that war is inhumane and barbaric; but still would have started with those words.
I loved this show but I'm now a little disappointed that didn't ask Ron Perlman to cameo.
its going to happen without doubt.
He would make a good mutant.
Think their saving that for season 2. Ron dos his quote after the bombs fall and currently in coopers storyline we are a half or so year off.
Best role for Ron to play would be one of coopers friends and a documentarian or director. Who like cooper survives the initial bombings
@@grahamdavis8777Na I want him being a random guy you meet around a bonfire telling tales from all around the wasteland.
@@Archetype_M3T4L maybe he could be the mysterious stranger..
They did not say who started the war - they just told that Vault-Tac can do it, if required.
"the supermutants arent here, but the enclave is" as a thing thats very likely a super mutant under a sheet is wheels by on screen.
perfect timing!
The ghoul said “what WAS the first capital of the ncrs. So the ghoul from new Vegas was implying that Shady Sands was hit by saying “what WAS” implying that it used to be. Also the ghoul said “original name” and why would they change the name of a city for no reason? This video is saddening.
>The Brotherhood we have seen in the West Coast is limited to NV, this it is possible their customs have begun to change since then.
>The ghoul medicine appears to be for ghouls who are showing signs of turning feral, not necessarily all ghouls. This may have been discovered during the time skip.
>The Fall of the NCR may have been and oversight or represented its decline after losing Hoover Dam. We only see Southern California, this it is likely the largest remnants of the NCR are in Northern California and Oregan. If House appears in S2 then it is more than likely the canon ending, and House's plan and Vegas' success hinged on using the NCR as a puppet state.
Or the writers just didn't give af. Either way. I really enjoy the show, worst case scenario it's in an alternate timeline.
The mission in FO3 at the Bethesda studio shows that a ghoul can turn into a feral.
Honestly one of the reasons I love this show is because unlike most video game movies/shows, they don’t spend half the episode dumping exposition. They show, don’t tell. Gamers already know what a Pip Boy is and non gamers can figure out what it is throughout the show. The show doesn’t assume that its audience is stupid and break immersion to shove exposition down our throats.
I think the question is, does Bethesda acknowledge Fallout NV, as it was not their game, Obsidian did NV. So if they do not acknowledge Fallout NV, there is nothing wrong with the time line, as far as the NCR goes.
Nuka World specifically discusses that ghouls eventually become feral
What is this thumbnail? “The Ghoul” was never the Vault-tec salesman representative. There’s numerous different ghouls in the series and he’s red. He’s a marked man ghoul
so uh, the city doesnt really look destroyed, just partially destroyed, still intact and from the looks of it going strong. I mean it had wrecked buildings all around and through even in the game
While it's been noted by many in the comments, sentient ghouls can and do turn feral. The Fallout 4 DLC Nuka World has a holotape recorded by Racehl Watkins. Rachel is a sentient ghoul who begins to turn feral while recording her message. She is found deceased.
Fallout 4, Nuka World DLC, it is stated that ghouls can go feral over time. The change is that it happens to ALL ghouls instead of only some. Here's a transcript of an item called "Rachel's Holotape":
"I think this is it. I can't go any further. I can feel it taking me. *growl* No, gotta keep it together a little longer. Oswald, I'm sorry. I've looked everywhere I could think, but there's no cure. What towns and outposts I could find said that we ghouls just go feral eventually, and there's nothing to be done. Maybe it was the misters. Held out... *moan* ...as long as I can. I know this isn't what you'd want but... I can't stand the thought of mindlessly attacking everyone around me, so I've decided to end it on my own terms. I don't know why it hasn't affected you the same, but if you've still held it together... I want you to move on. Leave Nuka-World. You can still make a life out there. It's not all as bad as we thought. I love you Oz."
As someone who’s not played the games I disagree that a bunch of stuff needed to be explained or had our hand held through it, it makes sense as an intro to a video game but you don’t need that same level of insider knowledge to enjoy a show from the beginning, especially as it is often a narrative that plays out over time. Pip boys are fairly self explanatory once you see it do a couple of things and to me it’s interesting to see the extra things it has as the show goes on (like a tracker). I also think a bunch of exposition on the war right at the beginning would turn a bunch of people off, the opening of the show was pretty dang perfect, it got you hooked and wanting to know more. I’ve seen newbies and fans alike talk about how good the intro and the show overall was, this video feels weirdly nitpicky (to the point of just being wrong) and like it lacks understanding of how show story telling needs to differ from game story telling to keep audiences interested.
That opening screams, "Someone played bioshock".
Super Mutants were DEFINETLY there -- just not featured. One is shown on a wanted poster, and a hand is shown in the Enclave base covered up on a stretcher.
Also, how else would ghouls become feral? To be a feral ghoul, one would have to be a ghoul to begin with... They simply went I to more detail on something that had never been directly addressed...
Shady Sands doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, and that chalkboard doesn't say it was destroyed in 2277. It says the fall of Shady Sands stated in 2277 (probably started because of the first battle of Hoover Dam). There's an arrow from 2277 to the bomb. This insinuates the city began to fall and thrn was destroyed -- like the Roman Empire. It's logical to assume the capitol moved from Shady Sands after the fall began; especially since the billboard already said "first capitol" )which would imply there is/was a second capitol). The bomb would've went off in the 2280s, destroying Shady Sands. This timeline lines up much closer to Lucy and Maximus' age. Also, there is clearly more NCR around, and it's very doubtful they are completely gone. None of this invalidates New Vegas.....
Personally, I’m very happy that this show took a step back from confirming some even confirmed lore from the games. One of the things that attracted me to the Fallout world was there was little confirmed lore even from the games themselves. The lack of a codified history gave every faction in the series the chance to put their own interpretation of those events, which in my mind freed the development of a world where eas still an air of mystery about how Fallout ever became the word that is seen in the game series.
There was a Supermutant on a gurney at the Enclave base, you can see his arm fall out from under the blanket. Also the Enclave in the show is mentioned as a Remnant of the Enclave. I think some of what you mentioned can be explained by the fact that the show takes place several years after FO4 and about 15+ years after all the previous games. There has to have been advancement of many things by this time. I feel like the drug they are taking is staving off going feral somehow, and it's something new to the lore.
Lastly - they way I took it - Vault-Tec TALKED about dropping the bombs. I didn't see or hear proof they actually did. Now the ONLY time anybody from Vault-Tec is CONFIRMED in the show as having drop a bomb - is Lucy's Father.
Also - Moldaver cannot have been the founder of Shady Sands. That would make her well over 100 years old. She's not a ghoul, so there is no way that happened. I'm guessing she was in a cryo-tube and emerged at some point before Lucy and her Brother were born.

I think judging by the fact that both lucy and maximus are hinted very heavily to be in their early 20s at most and bombs fell when they were around 5-10, shady sand bombing seems to be between 2277-2285.
Since NV happens in 2281, it is actually quite plausable that shady sands was bombed when New Vegas events were taking place or after. Ik it says "The Fall of Shady Sands 2077" on the chalkboard in vault 4 but it could easily be referring to the fact the NCR stretched itself thin post-First Battle of Hoover Dam, thus causing the city to slowly fall apart especially since it happened in 2277 in the lore. It is hinted by maximus to be the case. He said it did not work out.
Super mutant appear covered with hand showing and video of something attacking scientists unknown attacker. Deathclaw or super mutant is my guess.
This video should be titled “we have no clue what we talking about, but we want to jump in the Fallout wagon”
I think the reason for the brotherhood is pretty much they've been devolving in culture ever since the first game. with the war with the NCR heavily draining their resources, plus they've seemed to have taken on the practice of recruiting "locals" it's made them even more cult-like than before, taking their sacred duty an extra step further.
You do forget that we’re getting a season 2. So some stuff in the game we didn’t see in the show, we will see probably in season 2
12:23 It's very simple:
- Fallout New Vegas is Obsidian;
- Fallout Series is Todd Howard;
Todd Howard hates all Obsidian things therefore no more Fallout 1, 2 & NV.
Thought the moster released in vault 4 was going to be super mutants or deathclaw
I hope the kings are in season 2 that will be awesome. I also hope they add Elvis to the soundtrack.
I was actually glad they didn't start off with the phrase "war never changes" and that they held off on having someone say it when they did. I still found myself pointing at the screen going "Ah, they said the thing!" when they did say it but was still glad we didn't get someone saying it until almost the end of the season.
Also, to say that the Super Mutants weren't in the show at all seems to be a bit wrong because when we see in the Enclave facility, some guys appear to be wheeling away what appears to be a Super Mutant (by its arm) on a covered gurney. And later when there is a wall of wanted posters, one of them if for a Super Mutant.
10:18 Todd Howard has explained the board shows "Fall of Shady Sands" occurred in 2277, but then at a time later (at least 4 years), the city was bombed.
The brotherhood changes aren't wrong they are a different chapter. Chapters can range wildly. In fallout 3 a chapter actually abandoned the brotherhoods mission in favor of helping settlers and starting a civil war. So having a chapter that changes the role of Squires is not far fetched at all. There's also rumors that this brotherhood chapter may have annexed a group of the Cesar's legion making them evolve to be less fond of "weakness". Also they don't really need to describe a pipboy they show it. Fallout video games don't really describe what a pipboy is either save for mayne some small stuff you can find. In the games and the show it is pretty obvious it's basically a cellphone. I've watched a lot of reactors that never played the games that weren't confused by pipboys or stimpacs at all so no they did just fine with those
The super mutant was under a sheet being wheeled past the scientist guy, it's fingers were still moving. Hopefully, we will get a second season that includes a full super mutant appearance
The people who say the ghouls do not look like fallout 4 ghouls have no leg to stand on. I've got eyes, I've seen picture comparisons. They look exactly like vanilla ghouls, the one's that most people replace with mods
If you managed to scrap together enough things to complain about to make a 13 minute video on this show, then your video for the Halo TV show must be 6 hours long
Looking through the comments makes me think that mojo has discovered the key to gaming the algorithm is engagement bait. 😂😂
Um you may wanna do some more research. In the games it is assumed all ghouls will turn feral at some point. Some people dont want them in their towns because of this. No duration of time is given, every ghoul is different, but all are assumed to turn feral at some point. They did not use drug to prevent it though.
The ghouls are strange in the show they don’t look very ghoulish their eyes are still normal and they take medicine to stop themselves from turning feral which I thought in game they just got really really old and then eventually turned
Considering Season 2 is probably going to partially take place in Las Vegas and Nevada
I expect the supermutants to be at Jacobstown
“Super Mutants aren’t here” said as a super mutant is wheeled by pn a gurney.
Aaannnd there’s definitely references to sentient ghouls going feral in the game lore… I hate how fallout just throws its lore all over the place not giving a shit.. I see it ruining fallout imo
Also there are Super Mutans, in the Enclave scene you can spot a Super Mutant hand while he was moved on a by some scientist on a stretcher
