About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

The one flash back to the snow scene as you bought the old girl really shows the vast external change and you know how much more there has been done to structure and interiors from neglect,failing roof and rotted missingglass , the thousands of hours you have put in as a foursome then three plus world friends and foursome again with Jonathans help,a lovely young man adapting to a new country and language from a young age.well done and thank you for sharing so much with us ,good and bad.

Wow this is an amazing example of why cleaning a building is so important!! Many say it’s age, character, history personality, patina. I say it’s dirt, grime, mildew and moss 😮 I wish more historical buildings were this well preserved and polished. They were never meant to be neglected. ❤ cheers to all your hard work she’s stunning

The transformation is just INCREDIBLE! Folks there is NO doubt that when this hard-working crew is ready to do the awnings they WILL do the awnings. There is plenty of projects for us to enjoy until then - so let's be happy going along with the amazing CDLLC family and friends as they continue to awe us with the transformation of this once derelict Chateau. Every day I look forward to a new video from you. It never gets boring, you're always working on new construction sites and there are still so many that need to be worked on. I'm always amazed at your energy and how cheerful you go to work, even when things don't go as well as they would have liked. You are a very courageous, hard-working and lovely family and I am very happy that I was able to get to know you (even if only from a distance). I can already see how guests will come and go from your home and feel completely at home, which is due to the now beautiful house and garden, but above all to the lovely people you are. I really hope that you stay healthy and can continue to invest your energy in this wonderful project for a very long time. I am older and unfortunately not healthy and not very mobile, but thanks to you I can travel to France every day and experience things that would otherwise not be possible for me. I now live alone because my partner couldn't deal with my illnesses, which makes me even happier when I can meet young couples like you. We all become a little part of this wonderful family. Watching them clean the stone on the outside of the chateau is incredible.. It hard to believe that they could do that, but we are seeing it with our own eyes. WOW
The tower just is so fresh and more impressive now that it has been cleaned! Honestly, I do not understand anyone commenting on the fact that you have not gotten to the awnings. You are all massively hard workers and have performed miracles. Can’t wait to see the awnings done but wait I will…. Best of luck on your opening day. You have all worked so hard and I can only imagine what it looks like in person. Also, never even noticed the bell. It is looking great.

Also, thank you, Ash for reworking that side path to the small seating nook in the garden. It's a brilliant alteration, and well worth the effort. It appears as if it had always been intended that way. Wow!

Brought tears to my eyes to see her in the sunset light. Will you get some reactions on camera from some if the locals? They must be so proud & thrilled to see what you have done, especially some if the older ones who have seen how she was left to deteriorate and how she looks now.
