Lehecka beating Coric, Norrie and FAA already in this tournament - what a run
Next is Tsitsipas to beat, to round it off nicely 😊
@@Tennis_Expert He wont beat Stef
@@mbucd But you never know, anything's possible!
@@mbucd Good for you, now go bet some money if you are so sure 😉
@@mbucd So you must have bet some money on Tsisipas, if you believe so much, how much was it?
Netflix curse claimed its final victim.
True. Djokovic is next. :))))
@@lucievec6683 he was not in a netflix movie dog.
@@lucievec6683 He is not on Netflix...
Can somebody explain this Netflix thing?
@@lucievec6683 You are right. Djokovic is next… to win the AO for a 10th ridiculous time 😋.
That boy is gonna Shine for the next years.
I remembered seeing Lehecka some 2 years ago in two ATP 250 or 500 where he defeated big names with talent, happy to see him at the level he deserves to be !
Lehecka has really improved his game in the last 2 years. I was watching him as a Challanger player and every tournament he was playing more confident, not impressed by his opponent. Congratulation on quarter-final, I hope you will play as well against Sinner/Tsitsipas as you did against Auger.
uvidime kam to dotahne, vypada, ze by mohl 😉🙋
He looks like an improved Berdych to me.
This guy is a real player and looks to have it mentally also which is vital at the top level. Could see him being Top 5.
@@huzcer why only Top 5, do you see any weekness
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 that's a high compliment. you can't say higher than that until he does a little more imo.
Finally a good czech player on court. I missed that a lot. Congrats Jiri 👏 💪
kvitova krejcikova pliskova siniakova fruhvirtova etc. are pretty good too ;-)
@@pavelandel1538 I mean in the ATP

Lehecka is the real deal. His backhand is sublime.
Top forehand and - a particular favourite of mine - sweet volleys, too.
Glad he beat this guy. Fame got over his head and thought he the shit but he ain't. Got humbled real fast at the start of the year
Respect to our Czech Slavic brother and congrats on a big win from Serbia!
hope he is consistent, hes got potential! greetings from🇨🇿
Chill dude
@@koppenknyul7113 After Jiry beats Cicipussy- all will be well. 😅😅😅
@@koppenknyul7113 What?Why u telling me to chill,what did i write?😂😂
@@serbianwarrior385 this whole talk of "slavic brotherhood" in combination with your name "serbian warrior" sounds really stupid and ridicilous to me. I think it's disgusting when people confuse a sporting event like the AO with the battlefield, especially in Tennis which should be a gentleman's sport. If you want to be a hooligan go to football.
Felix is fast as rocket. Great game. Congr Lehecka.👏
Lehecka, Rune, Korda are all looking stronger than a lot of players seeded below them.
Lehecka's been playing tremendously good lately! Congrats on this great win!
That was just some amazing tennis from Jiri, reminds me of Tomas Berdych's times, but Jiri has better topspin technique n much importantly footwork, which was in my opinion the reason Berdych hadnt ever been able to win a GS title. Hope Jiri will show us more through the tournament n in future as well.
I agree about the footwork and movement part, but Berdychs technique was sublime and his easy power almost unmatched, there was a reason he was a gs finalist and a top 10/5 player for most of his career…
@@anustart-loveeachother7680 the problem with his game is that he really lacked angles. He hit long powerful shots consistently, but just didn't have the short angles.
Jiří is much better on feet and his repertoire is more varied. Also he seems very calm and confident - Berdych was calm but he lacked confidence. This allows Jiří to play some very clever shots even though they would be considered a bit trickier to play, like that volley down the line counter the motion of Felix.
He is literally nothing like berdych
@@anustart-loveeachother7680 that was actually the problem. He only had the power, just playing hard "smashes" from baseline with no rotations at all, and as someone mentioned here in comments, there were no spicy angles, he wasnt really able to make opponents run from one side to the other one, so every match came down to the thing if he was able to serve well and then "smash" into court or not. Was in a way similar to Karlovic's, Isner's... playstyle with the difference of not making so many aces, but the principle of the game was pretty much same, depending on good serve and hard hits.
So confident
Lehecka reminds me of Berdych but better! Czech players have such beautiful and clean technique
I saw this guy at the next gen atp final last November for the first time. I immediately saw his potential!
Amazing, keep it up. His game reminds me a little bit of Berdych game, but more athletic. Finally we have some player who is able to win against top players. I hope that somebody will join him as new Radek Štěpánek :D Yes, I mean you Menšík, Macháč, Svrčina or Forejtek. In the QF, S Tsitsipas will be a tough challenge, but so was Felix, chance is there, go and grab it.
Totally like his style of playing! Im the meantime he looks quite humble too. Really hope that he can beat Tsitsipas !
Czech players always impress me with their tennis IQ and superb stroke technique:)))
His on court interview post match was hilarious! Roger like but with even more laughter.
@@pureffm you are right. I listened him yesterday evening - he is really funny with great sense of humour and very decent english. My expectations got higher to be honest - he may be the player of the year, why not.. :)))
Jiri is the gunner😎
New Tomas Berdych
Felix's groundstrokes were pretty good but I think he needed to mix in more net flicks to have a chance.
to have a chance? This ist felix auger alliasime?! Lehecka plays good, but ehem felix play like in the last games he would destroy him
@@ackermann2754 it was a netflix joke
@@ackermann2754 that's not the case no? he ain't better then Lehecka that's why he lost. Fact and deal with it
Czech school tennis make it again a very good player.
Lehecka excellent 👍!!!
Naadheraa🥳🇨🇿🇨🇿
I think any player in the top 100 is now capable of winning any tournament.
If Djokovic the witcher is not playing that tournament.
Jiri is not any player in top 100, when in form he is at least top 20, one of the best youngsters even though last year wasn't good for him
Now I know how he could beat Coric😮
could you please make video titles that doesnt reveal the outcome of the match
Lehecka - Korda in Semi- finals?? Maybe?? !!! 🎉 🇨🇿

Not too surprised by this result. Lehecka has had a great season and came close to winning this years NEXTGEN - losing in the final. Has all the tools to make great strides on the pro tour.
New Berdych
The more I watch FAA the less impressed I become with him.
Yeah, FAA has no real weapons. He is like average in every aspect of the game.
@@krakatit7730 it's the fact he has no imagination to his work, you know he's a typical big serve/forehand baseliner. His net play, backhands and shot variation are seriously lacking. Very physically talented but he has low tennis IQ.
FAA is good but his backhand needs a lot of improvement, not hit clean and hard enough. Also, he hits certain shots too early and the end result is a weak shot a lot of times. Lastly, he needs to aim for the lines a bit more. His groundstrokes need more depth and width.
Yes, he hit short too often. Not enough for GS title.
Bravo Lehecka, and "Oooouuuuggggghhhhh, Oooouuuuggggghhhhh, Oooouuuuggggghhhhh" has an end.
HI IM JOHN MCENROE
it´s the Netflix curse
The crowd boohing him... just why? Those spectators know about tennis as much as i know about quantum flux in the outer rim of a black hole...
I said so many times that Felix will not achieve great things such as winning grand slams, while people persistently raise the hype, after each of his victories and winning tournaments in the ATP category 250,500. Obviously, he still has a big mental barrier, when he can't fight against a player of the rank no. 70 and there in best of five which is favor him..
bit early. if ur clairvoyant u should play the lottery
Lehecka isn’t your normal ranked 70 player he is a future 10 player
@@Supersonic_3 We speak about now, not in the future. What makes him a top 10 player? Because he beat Felix? Based on what you came to the conclusion that he will be a top 10 player? He is a good player, there is no doubt about that. I don't know if you aware that he has never won a single ATP title, not even play a final from any ATP event in his career and that this AO 2023 his first Grand Slam that he passed the first round, he never passed the first round at the other 3 GS, everytime first round loss. And now, because of one win, he is a top 10 player. I respect everyone's opinion, but people tend to exaggerate and declare some players great tennis players after one victory..
@@thenotorious2226 he is not currently at a top 10 level but I believe he will reach that level in the coming years he has a very solid game and he is still very young the titles and deep runs at slams will follow he has beaten a good calibre of opponents in this tournament.
@@thenotorious2226 Because even if he's not consistent, on a good day he has a spectacular level, you can't say that about every player in the top 100 (gor instance Griekspoor, Giron, O'Connell, Thompson etc...)
This guy could give Novak a tough match.
Not really, just Rune and Korda, maybe Tsitsi if he plays godlike (first two sets at RG21) plus Djokovic injury remains or gets worse.
The Netflix curse continues.
I guess Djokovic is going to win AO whistling 😗
Ohh NO…
Berdych reincarnated?
Better I'd say.
hehe
AA has such a bad pushy backhand.
Netflix ahahahahah
FAA should focus more on his game and less on his horrible grunt every single shot... piss me off, i am happy he lost
