- Caroline Garcia has gone out of the Australian Open to Magda Linette. Garcia made 30 unforced errors off her forehand and it cost her dearly as she went out in straight sets in one hour and 58 minutes. In Linette's 30th Grand Slam appearance the Pole has reached the last eight in Melbourne. She has beaten the No. 16, No. 19 and now the No. 4 seed to reach the quarter-finals.

Miałem tej nocy spać, bo poprzednią zarwałem na mecz Igi, a w poniedziałek muszę wstać do roboty o 6 rano. Obudziłem się ok. 3:00, siusiu i sprawdziłem wynik. Patrzę, że Magda wygrała 1. seta. Myślę sobie, ale jaja. Poszedłem do kuchni, zrobiłem sobie herbatę i śledziłem wynik od czasu do czasu, by nie zapeszać. Nie mogłem uwierzyć, że Magda to pociągnęła. Miała być Iga - jest Magda. To jest piękno sportu. Oby ten sen trwał dalej.

If you say that she is consistent what has she accomplished in past 3 months? I really like her as a player, it’s not to undermine her current success, but she is not consistent at all. I’ve seen her playing many times, other players keep saying for years that Magda has great skills and touch. However she surrendered mentally many times, and it’s good to see her mentality being improved recently

Jak był turniej przed AO, United cup, czy jakoś tak, to dla mnie, bardziej podobała się gra Magdy niż Igi. Uwielbiam Igę, żeby nie było, ale tak mi się wydaje, że trochę spokoju by się jej przydało, plebiscyty wywiady, bycie nr1 nie jest łatwe. To tak na marginesie, nie miało być o Idze, to Magdy chwila i niech trwa jak najdłużej, wielkie gratulacje pani Magdo☺️
Iga ostatnio nie jest w najlepszej formie, ale jak wygra FO, to pewnie kolejny rok przesiedzi na #1. No i wcześniej jest Indian Wells, Miami.

Garcia might be good, but she is 30 and at that age, it's hard to imagine she will dominate female tennis. Serena might have had her second carrer hight at that age but she won her first grand slam being 18 years old, and had about 13 before she turned 30.

To czego Pani Linette brakowało to siły psychicznej. Potrafiła przegrac tzw wygrany mecz. Teraz to inna tenisistka jak od roku ma innego trenera. Ostatni dzwonek pięknie wykorzystany. Zajęlo to 10 lat ale już na Billie Jean Cup w Radomiu pokazała się od najlepszej strony. Gratulacje! Tak trzymać. Pozdrawiam
@@elwiraludwikowska9576 No właśnie w tym tkwi "sekret" tenisa. Wystarczy wygrać 24 piłki pod rząd i ma się 'bajgla'. A tutaj Garcia popełniła 30 niewymuszonych. I jest w tym szczęście i siła psychiczna, żeby nakłonić takiego walczaka jak Garcia (druga po Idze w ilości wygranych turniejów w 2022) do popełnienia aż tylu błędów. Na marginesie, kilka razy oglądałem mecze Igi transmitowane przez kacapów, wielokrotnie pokazywali każdy błąd, bo było ich niewiele.

Nigdy nie prezentowała tenisa siłowego. Ale od pewnego czasu zaczęła więcej kombinować grą techniczną i to daje wyniki. No i zmieniła rakietę 😀

Wszystko szło dobrze tylkinw kluczwych momentach siadała psychika i napięcie powodowało, że przegrywała. Mowiła, że nie radziła sobie z presją ale końcu praca nad tym daje teraz efekty. Pozdrawiam, trzymajmy kciuki w meczu z Pliskovą. Na pewno Pani Magda lepiej się od niej porusza na korcie.

I don’t think Caroline Garcia did herself justice in this match. She made too many unforced errors and didn’t serve anywhere near her best, making only 53% first serves in the first set. Like most of the commentators have said, she stubbornly refuses to readjust her service return position and move further back when she struggles to make enough service returns. I was disappointed that she lost, as she played so well to win the WTA finals tournament and I love watching her play. I hope she can find her previous form in the next tournaments.

The doubles winner gets less than US$0.5m while the singles winner gets almost US$2m. btw the mixed doubles winner gets just mickey mouse prize money of only around $105k!😅

c'est terrible quand on ne joue pas toujours juste et relâché, plus un soupçon d'usure physique et mentale.Caroline était trop dans le stress, elle a tous les coups pour déborder ses adversaires et gagner. il ne faut pas qu'elle doute de sa qualité de jeu et quelle perde confiance en elle. si le mental et le physique tiennent à un moment ou un autre ça passera c'est certain.Caroline renforce ton mental et ton physique qui sont déjà énormes et je t'attends pour Roland- Garros.
