  • Well we are at millstone quarry in the peak district. This is not a full episode as the filming did not turn out to be very good. However, whilst dean was on Knightsbridge trying to get the onsight, he took a small fall that we thought might be of interest.

All right I don't want to be the first one to say this where the f is your helmet?... Mate let me tell you something I may not have climbed as many rocks as you have trad or not but I will tell you that a helmet saved my life in a fall similar to that. For the Love of Pete please wear a helmet!. I want to keep seeing climbing videos from you. Anyways , beautiful video I like the multi-angle I'm glad it was a small piece that blue and you didn't fall very far that route looks very sketchy usually when I have that feeling that you did before you start climbing I don't climb that route. Hope the next route goes more splendid and swimmingly have a great day or night peace and much respect.

Hi Chad. You're 100% correct about the helmet, everyone should wear one. In this case, Dean had the sense to back up the ball nut a little lower down after he clipped it. Otherwise the fall would have been way larger. Indeed we hope to be bringing more camera angles to future videos. It's winter in England at the moment and we are just climbing inside, so just working through the backlog of existing footage. Hope to record better episodes in the coming months.

You are not the first to say this. I've brought it up multiple times. It's not so much the lack of helmet, it's lack of helmet + climbing at your limit which these guys often are. Safety isn't just a checkbox you decide to tick, it's a whole combination of factors and requires proper clear thinking and consideration.

100% agree, and safety should always be no.1
We would like to know your opinion on indoor climbing. Do you think we should voluntary/ forced to wear helmets indoors, since we fall several times a session.

@@EndlessClimbing everybody says that it's a controlled environment so there's less likely to have an accident I have fallen in the gym for over six years and never came close to hitting my head except for once. on top rope, Yes you heard me correctly, top rope not leading because of the movement on the route to cause me to fly upside down and spin around luckily there were no big holds around.. I think the reason why gyms don't do it is maybe cost efficiency and they don't know if someone bangs the helmet too much do they have to replace it I guess it's similar to like climbing shoes or gear to easily tested may be cheaper to replace... I think at the bare minimum gym should at least offer it.
