- In the previous episode, we climbed at Burbage North in the Peak District. We continue our adventures there with a climb we've not dared to try. The Sentinel is a trad climbing route that's been well documented in having very poor gear placements. It is overhung, no bail off routes to the left / right and no down climbing. Will the head game win?

I put a number 2 DMM Wallnut in the vertical crack where you put the ballnut when I had a go about 20yrs ago. And then I took it out and downclimbed and haven’t been back since😂
Excellent guys. Great route and great clap. Dean's ape index is ridiculous. He's like king Louie
That one was for you Keef! 😀
Dean T wehey. Winner
This vid popped up after watching Matt Climber soling crazy shit in South Africa - and I ended up watching yours :-) I have to say I did laugh at this ‘normal climber’ sweating sweating and blinding a losing his nuts like rest of us LOL - I felt empathy watching this - but so realise that maybe somethings are best soloed to avoid the pump !!!
Haha....i think if there was just music playing id say you climbed that in fine style but the narrating made it sound like you were struggling
Well done. Think I'll jump on it next time im there
Still haven't worked up the courage to try trad! Cool video.
Take your time and work up to it. I would say the most important thing would be to go out with an experienced person / group. This way, you will be able to "Second" the routes and build up some confidence. It is a great form of climbing!!!!!
Holy bloody hell dudes. You are nutty and awesome. Keep it but be safe !
Scary stuff! Well done!
Lovley stuff gents !
THIS CHANNEL IS AMAZING! Love it!!
Good job lads .
I love the camera mans stripey socks at 3:02 :-)
Dean I want your fleece
Dean, have you lead surgeon's saunter on stanage at all. Would love to see a film of that
The name sounded familiar, but I had to look it up. It turns out that I lead Surgeon's Saunter about 18 months ago, but I have to be honest, I have absolutely no recollection of climbing it! This would have been before we started filming. The photo's on UKC make it look pretty cool, and I have a (sort of) project in the same area so maybe we could go back and do it again. I always fancied having a go at Quietus (www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/c.php?i=9984) too, but have never had the nerve. Maybe this is the year. 😋
Dean T That would be cool. I know Quietus. I trudged up to that area with a mate I used to climb with ages ago now (he's an instructor at The Foundry) he tried it as his first lead of the day 😂 he placed a shitty cam in the roof, which popped when he peeled off and it twatted him on the head. Claret everywhere!!! We bandaged him up and trudged back down to the cars to take him to hospital and that was the end of that climbing day!! I didn't even get my harness on 🙄
Yikes! You're not selling it. 🤣
Dean T he had know business trying to warm up on it. A man with your reach should be fine 👍😬. I hope I bump into you lads out this season. Keep up the good work
@@Bladesmobile Haha, what a way to encourage someone to have a go at the route! :D
Necky
Butchered it
