I've been climbing for over 40 years and whilst these clips are entertaining they are also very worrying. Before anyone slams me...yes I've done many of the climbs featured. This guy is always at his limit, often with dubious gear placements and yet never wears a helmet. I know it's a bit out of fashion (largely due to the popularity of bouldering and sport climbing) but he's definitely going to have a serious fall some day soon. In addition, I've yet to see him climb on half ropes which would definitely give him more options for gear either side of the direct line and would help mitigate for sideways pulls on poor gear

I've only looked at The File. VS 4c? Ha ha ha. You guys warmed up on a couple of HVS's. Then you are ready to tackle the VS. That sounds about right.

6:06 yeah that was pretty much 100% me the first time I tried a topout technique as well! The grunting especially really goes to show the struggle of trying to climb to the top! Real lucky you chose to try that technique in pants. First time I tried it, I tried it wearing shorts and man did my legs take quite the beating!

I led The File, David at Burbage South and Long Tall Sally at Burbage North on the same day and in that order of the 3 The File was the hardest. :) glad I never have to do it again.

I failed to climb this about 20 years ago, my head wasn't in it and I struggled with the earlier moves. My friend finished the lead I started and shredded his hands in the process!

You should do Jermyn Street next. It traverses the rail on the lip of the cave, and there’s one hardish move to pull round the lip, but you get jugs, then it’s all over.
