    i think out of all of the songs that have been dubbed as having a "Käärijä effect" (what the ever loving fuck that even means), this is the closest of what Käärijä actually did. bringing something new, fresh, in native language, with a song that underneath the chaos is actually really well crafted and produced. Estoni Kohver (the long-haired guy from 5MIINUST) has some pretty incredible vocal control while doing that dance. speaking of it, the dance is great - and culturally relevant! it's just very Estonian in ways that Estonian people seem to be chuffed about. it's my #3 of the year, greetings to my Eesti siblings from Finland.

    Hello! Thank you so much for your reaction to our song. Both are very popular in Estonia...hiphop rap meets folk. Btw the dance moves are from Estonian folk dance. Both groups actually are doing their normal performances...it just works. I am a huge Puuluup fan and I am so happy they are doing this amazing performance with 5Miinust. Its such an amazing party where most of us wants to go immediately if not sooner 😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉

  • @queenyblahblah
    @queenyblahblah Před 3 měsíci +45

    Your point about the ageism is so true. First it was Nebulossa’s singer getting hate for being an older woman, and now it’s Puuluup. For me, that guy (who everyone thinks looks like VSauce) with the deep tone in his voice really gives the song an extra flare.

    thanks, very good reaction video.
    I know that the Estonian language has letters that are not found in many languages. It is, for example, the letter "Ü" and the wrong pronunciation is understandable. The rest of the letters in the title should be read exactly as they are written, not the English pronunciation of the letter. This means that if there is an "e", there is not "ei" pronunciation. The name of our country begins with this letter and you all know how to say Estonia beautifully and correctly, in the same way you can pronounce the words in the song - EI and TEA (not t-ei-a). Google translation is often wrong, but here helps you, click on the Estonian pronunciation sign and you will hear the correct pronunciation.
    The title of the song is a complete sentence. Since in our language the case goes to the end of the word stem, it is a little easier for you to pronounce long words like this - word stem + case ending. I'll write it down here as well. let's see if it helps. ME EI TEA NEN´+dest NARKOOTIKUMI+dest MIDAGI

    Thank you!!! As an Israeli who is for the past 2 years addicted to Estonian language and songs, this is my 12 points for this year. It is catchy, ethnic, cool, with a good message (against police profiling of poor/working class people as criminals, drug and alcohol users), i have been listening to it in loops for weeks, and it makes people actually think and wonder about the culture and language of Estonia. So yes, it is far more deserving in my eyes than yet just another pop/rock song. Thank you for your great positive review. Agree, I hated "Everybody" when it was representing Estonia, still don't get how it won. I liked Rollo and King so much more.
    The dance is a specific male folk dance from island Vormsi, Puuluup are doing this dance on their concerts. So, it is a way to blend rap/funk (5miinust) with folk (Puuluup). Cause they are doing it all together. And for the fun of it.
    And, absolutely agree, that final stage was bigger and way better than semi-final. In terms of movements and less chaotic. But still needs a clean up. Sound and harmony wise, I can't tell. I don't like that first gyu's voyce (who starts singing from the crowd), he is from 5miinust, reminds me of seagull cry. And the harmony (😂) was criticized too. Some reviewers commented that you need to be deaf to enjoy it 😅 Well, They can enjoy Hollow, from Latvia.
    It is either liked or disliked. But finally, we are not sending something mediocre, non-memorable, and boring. Yay. 🎉

    I'm gay. I am not heterosexual enough to understand Finland's entry. I like Estonia's entry because it's camp.

    This song is by estonians in estonian for estonians. Almost pointless to translate since it won't be understood by outsiders, unfortunately .

      I’ve found a translation to Ukrainian and I love it. Hope, I’ve got at least a part. But anyway it’s a great song, I’m dancing all morning. Most of my votes went to this guys 🇺🇦🫶🏼🇪🇪

    I fully understand the message and why people love it. It is just not for me. I cannot get into the song and I really didn't enjoy the performance of it. I expect it to do around as well as Zdob si Zdub did

    i dont love this, but not because theyr old or because i dont like what their presenting and how their presenting, i just dont like the song itself, it does not click for me as it does for everyone else, if it does well i wont be mad about it, but i dont see myself rooting for it
