Lots of angry iowa fans
Angry that Iowa at their best is only 3 points better than nebraska at their worst. Seriously, Iowa has been on one of their best runs over the past several years, and they bairly scum wins over nebraska, who has been on one of their worst runs.
It makes them sick to see us getting right

They know that the days of their celebrated mediocre era is over . FUCK IOW LOL
Anyone who knows Coach Matt Rhule - as you do -knows he’s building another winner. He’s one of the best coaches around.
This is the year Nebraska gets its national respect back. Been a long time in waiting.
I hope you're right.
You're joking right😂😂😂.

It's not only all about the QB. It also has to do with the fact that Nebraska had lost its entire starting offense except the center for the season by the end of October last year. (They lost their 2 best RB's in the same game and lost 5 of the top 6 WR's), so they are now extremely deep on offense.
That was the biggest thing we saw in the Spring Game. All the guys that stretch the field they were missing last season that forced them into the offense they were running.
Excuse capital of the USA. Nebraska. Someone once told me people in Nebraska are very dumb, but they know good football. He was half right.

If you think Memorial Stadium is loud now, just wait if Nebraska cuts down turnovers, produces explosive plays, and keeps up the defensive success. There will be times you won’t be able to hear the announcers on TV.
The only problem with your ranking of Nebraska is that it was too low GBR
Good assessment!
Husker fan here, so of course take this with a grain of salt. Very hard to fight one's own biases. That said, yes I do believe this is the first year in a long time where I have real expectations and not just delusional hopes of something resembling a team we can be proud of. This group of players has had a lot go wrong in the past so that does concern me - they don't know how to win together. I believe Dylan Raiola will win the QB battle and IF he can play within himself as a freshman and just manage an offense that has a solid defense behind it and Nebraska can win its first couple of games, including the one with an unknowable Colorado team . . . . . rattle off something known as a "streak" of wins . . . they could catch some fire and make a push toward 10 wins and play for something meaningful in 2024.
WOW you truly are delusional; I agree tht this is the bottom of the B10 schld the cornflakes will face; last season cornflakes lost to two losing programs (gophers/bluffs); only beat 1 program w/a winning program (traditionally academically ranked in the top 10/cornflakes ranked 159); go chk the facts; those other wins were against Union Pacific and P. Kiweit; same red cool-aid the past 27 seasons (1997)..
@@garlandwilliams6354 We shall see. That’s why they play the games.
Maybe the highest ranked team to ever be chosen the homecoming opponent for four teams (per Scott Dochterman and Mitch Sherman). GBR!
I’m a looooooong time Nebraska fan. The rankings I couldn’t care less about. It’s what you do on the field, buying into the coach’s vision, staying disciplined and not negotiating with yourself as a player. Let your play speak for you, stay hungry & be 100% focused on playing football. Practice with intensity! And finish games. That’s Nebraska football.
I'm drinking the Rhule-Aid! GBR!
Yea the same way u drank frosties; losers..
Good content. Smart and well spoken. Huskers only got beaten by Michigan last year. They forced the other 6 teams to beat them. Handed them the ball so many times it was impossible to win. Minnesota game was painful. Took Wisconsin to OT at home, and lost to Iowa who ended up winning the west at 10-2 who was outplayed the entire game. Every stat but score I believe. Painful to be a Husker ever since Bo was fired. Lost most of our huge 40 year records that we won’t ever get back. Thanks for the good content. GBR
Gbr baby!
And with that said. Jus because Dylan is a freshman means nothing anymore. Not with the level of development he's had. Plus some of neb best QB play in the past 10 years has come from freshman. Both Taylor and Adrian Martinez best years were as freshman. Jus a couple examples.
He doesn’t even need to be great. Just be average and we will be good to go
@@Muzikskavenger Exactly!!! The bar was so low last year. Can only go up, lol
@@jdchatelain222 hey now, this is Nebraska. We might be surprised. Don’t get too crazy
@Muzikskavenger OH I agree with that. The curse is no joke, lol. But it can't last forever 😬🤞
@@MuzikskavengerHe Just has to be better than Jeff Sims, that’s all it is. Sims was arguably the worst P5 starting QB other than maybe deacon Hill. We say what if Iowa gets an offense; what if Nebraska had like even the #5-7 QB in the Big 10. They could have possibly won 7-9 games last season if they had someone like Brennan Armstrong or Alan Bowman or Will Howard
All those single score losses are a thing of the past... #12 defense in the whole country last year and they're easily as good this year. What you saw in the spring game was a greatly improved offense playing one of the 10 best defenses in the country with some key players on the sideline. This offense is going to be really really good. Can't wait till kickoff.
Last year, Nebraska against Power 5 opponents gave up 21.7 ppg and scored 15.3 ppg
All I want is a season with a higher number for the wins column than losses, and a crappy bowl game invite. If we can get that, I’m happy.
I think people are taking these summer rankings way too seriously. Pre season rankings don't mean anything. They are wrong every year.
I think there are a lot of teams around the top 20-30. Nebraska could be anywhere from top 15 to top 40. Who cares it doesn't matter until the season starts.
For Nebraska, I never believed in the frost teams. Year to year, no one seemed to progress. Rhule is the complete opposite. Week 1 to week 10, the team did improve. This year, every position looks better than last year, except for the kicker, LBs, and maybe the secondary.
That plus the schedule, I'm not doing projections yet. But it is more than reasonable to think nebraska is going to be around the top 25, especially with a defense like that.
Agreed, cornflakes will remain the same irrelevant
Joe and JD just became wisemen in my book.
I can see a respectable 8-4 Nebraska team
We should be ranked after 110 real husker fan bad teams don't consistently lose one point games they were doing this before rhule and been had a fighting but both our top 2 qb is worth 10 wins
I'm a fan till I die GBR that being said I think they should have to earn their way to the top 25 Imo.
This is probably the best post I’ve ever read about the cornflakes..
they go 10-2 and F-Iowa
On which video gaming system
Plus A LOT of talk about the amount of injuries they had last year
BIG 10 champs, National Champ runner up.... ironically we loose by 1 score lol
Dylan threw an int in a spring game - how do you define doing great???
he’s a true freshman with Satt calling plays - it’s going to be ugly period (even with a good defense)
from huskerland, we just want a bowl game to start. any real husker fan will tell you, we've been humbled. there are crazies out there. but, the core of us just want to see improvement and to get to A postseason. if they do better we'll be ecstatic(and talk trash accordingly), but nobody in nebraska really predicts we'll win the conference.
Humbled means you’ve been relevant which haven’t been; nobody knows they exit; just the media trying to get clicks
@garlandwilliams6354 probably more national championships, conference championships and wins than your school 🤷♂️

We (Nebraska) have not done a single thing to earn these rankings. I honestly feel like the preseason hype is what hurt Nebraska. It puts unrealistic expectations on the players and coaches, and it’s obvious Nebraska does not operate well under pressure.
Just like Matt Rhule says just “Shut Up and Play” gotta go earn it 🌽🌽🌽
They haven't performed well under pressure because they haven't had a talented, above replacement level QB. They have never had an NFL caliber thrower. Things will be different with competent play. You'll learn quickly.

Click bait I hate it
A reasonable and realistic Husker fan. Thank you! There's not enough of you.
They're more of a top 15 team
Huskers ranked WAAAY TO LOW! If the ranking is week one and we’re being courteous… No problem. If we are saying who the best team are in college football by the end of the season, then we have to save way too low! obviously huskers are at top 10 defense… The offensive line will rank top 25. They have one of the best QB, wide receivers, and I believe the best tight end in the big 10 the running back position is still a? But I do believe it’ll be a top three running back. So the big question? Raiola! You have to remember though… This is or was the number one recruit in the entire country he may be, besides Tommy Fraser, the best quarterback to ever play at Nebraska so the ceiling is 11 -1 right now. The basement is 9-3. So what is the team goal? The team goal is to take a playoff spot. The second tier goal would be to play in the Big Ten championship and of course win a bowl game if they don’t make the playoffs. What would be a disaster in 2024? A 7-5 record. This is a team that should have won 10 games the last three years nobody can argue that fact… But they have had so many young mistakes in 2021 and 2022, then had their first year with more than 10 seniors in a long time in 2023. They literally fumbled away a 10 season last year great example? The Colorado game, where the offense and defensive lines dominated Colorado for most of the game and yet even with nine sacks on defense//and the offense ran for 230 yards with 14 guys in the box and still dominated most of the game. Sims was laid to rest at the end of the game..: except for an occasional flash player to where he would come in and fumble. So reverting back to anything less than 10 wins is a fallback and the schedule is set up to develop a true freshman quarterback. Oscars will enter the game at OSU, 7-0 and ranked #6 in the country. The OSU game will not be a blowout. I have them losing, but with momentum, experience, and a quarterback that doesn’t feel pressure. It will be a game. The last question is what if Rayola gets hurt? Harrberg is making great strides in his development and will look a lot cleaner and of course very real threat to run the ball. Huskers as long as they don’t lose too many at QB… It will not affect the record. Huskers have four players that are capable of winning now enjoy the season! BTW, watch out for Penn State… Depending on quarterback play they may pull off a Big Ten championship
Spring season top 25 lists make me sooo angry😅😅😅
For what more corn..
As a lifelong Husker fan. Nebraska "should" be ranked anywhere 20-30 based on the staff, returning starters, and recruiting caliber. But there is always an elephant sized BUT for Nebraska. They haven't learned how to win and do the intangibles properly consistently enough so you always have to dock them a bit assuming turnovers and shenanigans until they prove those days are over. I'd personally rank them 30-35 or so.
You’ll only returning starters bc of the lack of talent in 30 years and nobody got drafted as usual..
Let's see if they can finally get back to a bowl game for the first time since 2016 before we go and predict them to be a top 25 team...
