My wife bought herself the pink textured (tequila sunset) dial version on a mesh bracelet and it looks amazing. There are so few automatic watches for women and this one fit the bill perfectly.
Between the 2, the SRPF41 (Matcha) is preferred. The stylised applied numerals compliments the dial surface and gives it the edge for me over the SRPF53.

Happy owner of the srpd41j1, which is the dark blue version of the SRPF53, due to its' darker color It appears smaller on the wrist, has the same beautiful dial texture and 6 o clock date window, and white hands.
I got this for my brother as a gift. I haven't given it to him yet, but it looks so neat in person. I've worried how it would wear on the wrist for him, but he has a similar wrist size as the model here, and it eased my concern a bit.

@@morrisbickley6746 No he does not. Many Seiko “Cocktail Time” watches are named after drinks; Mojito, Espresso Martini, Negroni, Manhattan, Bellini, Gimlet.
My favorite is the blue dial model. I just wish it were the same size as the other smaller model here, and on a leather strap too, rather than on one of Seiko’s typically crappy bracelets.
Not gonna lie, been watching this guy's channel like crazy the past couple of months. Still haven't bought my first watch yet. That Grand Seiko winter edition though, that is on point.
Both look fantastic, but would go for the green matcha Dial due to the domed crystal and dial color. It's getting difficult to decide what dress watch from Seiko to go for, but still hold the midnight blue cocktail as the top choice.....
Years ago, I bought a new day/date Bulova from a respected jeweler. I was very gentle in pulling the stem out to the intermediate position to set the date or day. My teacher in high school had a Bulova and he was always singing their praises. If he had one they must be good. Sadly, my Bulova was junk. The stem was constantly pulling out, meaning I could hold it in the palm of my hand. It was still under warranty so I had the jeweler repair it. But they couldn't seem to get it right. It would be great for a few weeks or months and than the stem would come out again. After three times, I took the blue-faced Bulova off and never wore it again. I was so disappointed. My first major purchase out of high school and it was a complete disaster. I've never bought another Bulova.
Yo man, what is with this Seiko stuff? I want more Invicta models on this channel. Those styles are so bomb! Those giant oversized watches will put hair on your chest! MURICA! jk jk ;)

The srpf53 is I believe similar to srpd39, where the icy white is now icy blue. I have the smaller version, srpd97. I love the srpd97, and will eventually change the bracelet to strap to make the dial pop more. ;)
I have been considering the Alpinist. But the SRPF41 is gorgeous. What is the difference between the 41 and the SRPE45? I think they have the same movement and the 45 can bought for $270.
Thank you for the information .I have recently bought blue dialed Seiko Presage automatic watch which I like very much . The watch is nearly 13 second fast which I do not mind at all .
I great review Teddy, I have a couple Seiko automatics with the old non hacking or manual wind movements that for the price are more than accurate enough. These two sisters that you review are clearly a step above what I have from Seiko. I guess I would be nearly happy with either, if they only combined the textured green tea dial with batons instead of Arabic numerals with the date at 6 that would be ideal. I'm OK with the box Hardlex or sapphire but given my experience with the bracelets I'd go for the leather option.
I was so interested in the Presages but no sapphire means it won't work for me. And the blue one with sapphire looks too much like the dial of my Grand Seiko SBGA387 "Glacier", looks like same color but different texture. I'd buy the green one if it had sapphire. Looks great!
That green dial is beautiful. With their choice of numerals being so similar to the Alpinist, it might feel a little redundant to have both in a collection. I have always wished the SARB017 had silver markers and handset, and this really confirms that.
The rose gold case with the rich chocolate brown dial is a watch worth looking at. I’ve had non watch guys and gals both stop in the middle of the conversation and ask about the watch. Definitely a conversation starter, fantastic.
My brand new Presage mojito died 2 weeks after I bought it. Seiko movements have been the least reliable of the more than 100 watches I have owned. Always like your vids, though Teddy. Keep 'em coming!
