    for 600 AUD it is fine, the Hardlex can be lived with as well. Yes its better to have the sapphire but to me its not a deal breaker. Especially with such a killer dial and i've always loved the cocktail dials! Keep it up man, really great reviews!

      Totally agree with you, it’s not a deal breaker but would be a nice enhancement I don’t see myself wearing this while tearing down an engine (where I have a GShock for that!) thanks for watching buddy

      @@perpetuality agree but I always find with doomed glass with no protection I would prefer hardlex for when it’s bump on door jambs, tables etc. less likely to shatter. Great review btw, can’t believe that dial is on a sub 1k watch, only seiko...

    I have the matcha! It's a great little dress watch for me (I changed the strap to a dark mottled green leather one). If I may add, it wears large too, since a huge amount of the visual real estate of the watch is a dial with lots of spaces in it.

    From looking at the video the green one initially caught my eye but when I saw both in person the brown had more character. The issue with the green one was the case is the same color as the number indices and they kind of get washed out in light vs the silver case and gold numbering of the brown.

    Who are we kidding?!
    Case:just a normal polished with no brush at all
    Glass:Hardlex, no sapphire
    Movement :4r35b =nh35, most commonly found in Chinese watches or micro brands
    Limited edition :7.000?? That is the normal factory procedure
    Price :490euros, for a watch that should be at maximum 250euros
    Obs:I just bought a watch with sapphire crystal, beautiful case, eta equivalent movement, dial and hands beautifully made the second hand covered with caps for 269 euros.

    Limited edition of SEVEN thousand???? That doesn't seem limited at all :( I thought 3500 from the Starlight was already pushing it.
    I own a few Presage's because their dials are so unique and detailed, I can literally sit and stare at them all day. But I really don't like how most (if not all) of the new Presage's are "Limited edition" with limits that are larger than they were before. I think it's their way of raising the prices, which is fair. But I can't really justify the prices anymore even if their dials are super lust worthy...I can't justify paying more for a Frozen Margherita at LE of 5000 than my Sakura Fubuki that was 3500 units

    Seiko is misleading a out were their watches are made! They put made in Japan on the dial but they’re made in Malaysia for the Japan market. Some people fall for the hype and pay extra hundred dollars for the J models, don’t be fooled they’re made in exactly the same factories with exactly the same workers and machinery as the k” models. Only grand seiko are made in japan.

    So why is it Ltd?. Or were you asking the question. I bought the frozen margarita and at 5000 per piece , I assume its not across the whole Ltd range as mine is in 1520,that's not exactly Ltd. If you look properly the logo and markers aren't applied on the dial but on a clear coating atop the dial. But a very nice watch with a proven movement that's is hacking. And it's about the dial anyway. The 41mm none Ltd edition is OK but have the same look as the bulova sinatra and they have a little more about them. Anyway I'm doing your job here. You're supposed to answer not ask questions especially in the description

    • @perpetuality
      @perpetuality  Před 2 lety +3

      7000 units each isn't exactly "limited"
      More or less i was trying to point that out in the early part of the video Seiko warranted these being limited by way of the special textured dials and the vintage style box they supplied. That point was a little lost on you cause you are taking issue with the description and thats fine. I hear a lot about the Bulova Sinatra being a great watch but these Seiko's can be found under $400 USD which is less than half the price of the Frank Sinatra Bulova brand new. The only similarities are the dial layout. Anyway spent more time than I should've with this- thanks for the view!

    • @kevinjamesdawes7223
      @kevinjamesdawes7223 Před 2 lety

      @@perpetuality no slight intended to your review. But the description read like you had a definitive answer. The margarita and tequila sunrise are 5000 Ltd. I'm seeing the bulova pretty much the same price and as with the presage the range is vast but I haven't seen any Ltd edition bulova. I bought mine presage more because of the dial and size, at 38mm, nice Box and 2 straps are a selling point but I'm not keen on either so have my own on. Price is maybe 20% high but wouldn't change the spec at all.

    • @perpetuality
      @perpetuality  Před 3 lety +3

      The Sarbs were great having owned then 033 myself, they are products of the bygone era of truly value for money Seikos. Replaced by mid tier presage that are quite expensive. I think seiko truly intended for the cocktail time to be entry level dress watch, if the sarb was still offered it would fit below it. I wouldn’t say they are overrated the dials are a many ways superior and more interesting to the Sarb it just needs a sapphire crystal and a better movement to compete above the sarb. Just my two cents. Thanks for watching!
