@@Do27ggi am a united fan, I'd definitely agree theres a bit of entitlement there. We cant wish ourselves back to success, but what clubs aspirations end with Potter, with all due respect. He just tanked at Chelsea which is a direct equivalent club. We've had managers tank. Some with huge reputations. Potter isnt the answer and even people who hate united know that if they are being truthful. I also dont blame anyone for having a bit if banter at united's expense. We have had it fairly good for a while so its time to take our medicine.
@@paulmallon9292 he did an incredible job at Brighton. You can see he’s a good manager. He wasn’t given a chance at Chelsea, you can’t expect instant success. Chelsea and United need to accept it’s going to be rough but once it clicks they’ll be in a better place .
Pochetino seems to be coping really well at Chelsea… that club is fundamentally floored and will burn through managers a rate of knots

I think it's quite clear to see that managers are not the issue at Chelsea... Tuchel, Potter, Lampard, Pochetino thats a decent average level of managerial ability, none of which seems to really make a difference to results under the current ownership.
Therefore I don't think Potters spell at Chelsea is really a credible stick to beat him down with, same for the others.
Tuchel left just when the new owner came in and anyway potter isn't a great manager cause even if the squad was bloated a manager should choose players he believes will work for him and he didn't do that he wanted to be the nice guy and pick a new squad every weekend potter will fail at United this coming from Chelsea fan

That can be the case. The argument would be is the Tuchel is the only one who knows how to deal with big name players, and even he has shown to have struggled. So I think Simon is right with saying that Potter would have the same struggles that a decent coach like Ten Hag would have since he has to deal with the circus that is Man U. Its not that Potter is bad, it's just that you need a big Character to walk into that locker room to clean things up.
Nail on the head. Fans don't want to be wrong about his sacking, so some feel compelled to thrash him. But given the evidence we've seen with all the different managers having not much different effect at Chelsea, it's fair to say Potter can't be truly judged solely on the basis of it. He might still be any of good or bad, but the Chelsea sample is really muddy.
Potter wasnt given time at chelsea, if and its a big if , if potter was appointed at man utd and given time i think he cud succeed.
I don't know why everyone is overlooking Thomas Frank. The guy is a seasoned premier league manager, top coach, plays good football, very articulate and carries himself well in the media.

De Zerbi took us to another level. This season was always gonna b a tougher season, with all the extra games, we've never had to play. All the injuries from a small club, De Zerbi ain't doing that bad. 3 pts off 5th place

Caveat to what I'm about to say, think Potter and United together is laughable, but Potter's work prior to what happened at Chelsea was impressive. The other people you've mentioned isn't.
