Just so you're aware Jeannie, the apology never comes and they probably knew after 5 years he was innocent. The government NEVER wants to admit they were wrong.
a goverment that admit they made a mistake once, may lead the populus to believe, it may made more mistakes. So better to hush hush it.

It was said the detective had him in a room as a 16yo for hours getting interrogated over and over. Saying it wouldn't stop until he admitted he had done it. The detective even went into detail how they would put him in jail with men who would repeatedly s**ually a**ault him if didn't confess. After hours of this 16yo Villegas broke and admitted it to get the interrogation to stop. Despite evidence that proved otherwise the detective didn't care and prosecutors hid it.
My last background check said I was illegally present in the US. I appealed and asked them to look at the damn materials closer. Their response was basically I’m not illegally present in the US but I was at the time (so they are not going to update the initial case and mark it as a mistake). Nothing fucking changed over the one week between the two responses.

if you ever encounter a person trapped on an escalator, don't try to help them first. FIRST find and hit the emergency stop button, usually in the middle at the top and bottom.... THEN try to help them... otherwise you might just make it worse or not help them at all...
A lot of them have emergency cutoffs now days as well. They detect when something is causing high resistance in the belt and turn off. Where I live they made it mandatory for all of them to have the safety feature after a kid lost his foot when his crocs got pined and pulled down foot and all
@@jacara1981 yikes...
been in informative sales, where i dont really do any selling, just telling already customers about the new thing in elevators, and informing them that if they want, i can put a mechanic in touch if they want this feature to be added to their elevator.
I can tell you right now, MOST places, who has had an elevator for the past 10 years, DO NOT have the safety feature that Jacara1981 is talking about.. Especially poorer countries.
Always be aware in those elevators and escalators, cus when it starts shattering something in your body, its already too late... Seen way too many accidents.
It is getting safer over time, as it always does, but be aware.
Stay safe.
I remember that Olympic ice skating win at 9:28, that is fellow Australian Steven Bradbury & a lot of people thought he shouldn't have got the gold medal, but he still crossed the line 1st while everyone else fell over so them's the breaks & for years after if anyone I knew did some sought of miracle win we called it " pulling a Bradbury ".
My favourite part is that the reason Bradbury was in the final was that the same thing happened in the semi-final as well. He knew he couldn't compete for direct speed, so intended to just skate safely at the back and hope for others to batter each other out of place. And it worked TWICE! And brought home Australia's first ever Winter Olympic Gold. Man is a legend to us all down here.
This is a lot like the Albertville Olympics Giant Slalom event, where the slope thawed, the refroze into ice. They had a Senegalese skier that year. The "pro's" complained that he shouldn't be there. Most of them wiped out on the slope. He took his time, and was one of only 5 skiers to complete the course. He didn't medal, but, he definitely did better than the guys who complained about him
If it were about who was fastest they wouldn't have all 5 of them race at the same time. Staying upright is pretty fucking important in a race. They failed. He didn't.
The thing is Bradbury was a favourite in previous olympics. He got knocked over in one, almost died in another when a skate sliced his artery in race. No-one every talks about how god damn unlucky he was and say he got lucky here.
That's a problem with the sport IMHO (short track). The sharp turns requires the skaters to be on the absolute edge of their blade losing grip with the ice, resulting in more wipeouts the more competitive the race is. I get that it makes the sport more exciting to watch. But if the goal is to find the athlete who's best at skating around a small track, you really should set it up so that wiping out only takes yourself out of the race, not other competitors. The way it is right now, there's too much randomness.
26:28 that is why you need a double entrance. A door to the street that has to be closed and locked before the second door can open. When you are leaving, then the second door has to be locked before the door to the street can open.
5:45 that guy dumped her and left. They had 8 kids and she wanted another “reality” show . She’s a terrible parent and her kids rebelled against her on the today show by being totally silent during a live tv interview.
Let me guess: she got full custody?
It's John and Kate Plus 8 for anyone who wants to go down the rabbit hole. She's a vile harpy who had one of her kids institutionalized because he didn't want to be on the show anymore.

Thanks for letting me know. I was seriously left wondering if this guy ended up okay. Leaving her was a good start.
Jon and kate plus 8 is the name of the show
So a guy goes in at 16 and came out at 41. Talk about his best years wasted. He better have gotten millions for that injustice. 😐
He will probably get little if anything. They announced these big winning lawsuits but most of those have to be specifically approved by the state legislatures before they're paid which never happens so people spend decades in prison and literally get nothing happens all the time and here's a kick in the ass we get the right person convicted about 90% of the time that means there are hundreds of thousands of people in prison in the US who are not guilty

Lots of states have the compensation they have to pay for that mistake capped. The feds have it capped at $5,000 per year. The state I'm in, is $5,000 per year for a maximum of $25,000 even if it is over five years. I suppose they could try to sue their lawyer if they were to blame. Or sue the DA or witnesses if they purposefully lied and railroaded him.

MANY States allow craftsmen to destroy the thing they built if the customer doesn't pay (or hasn't paid YET. this is because they get tired of dealing with THAT customer so they destroy what they did and walk away). This reason is because usually the builder is the one that paid for the materials and did the labor and UNTIL the customer actually PAYS for the work, it's considered still OWNED by the builder....
on the flip side (not saying the dude was right, idk the whole story here), but if they do it wrong, i aint paying for that shit. Break it up, ill hire someone else.
@@pudgenubbins1280 if they do a job wrong then that means you as a customer were not overseeing the work every now and then (dont just leave it too them) you also dont pay in full either for this reason you part in parts, usually 3 (start middle and end of the job) if a builder asks for more funds then you renegotiate and double check the work. kinda shit customers have to do this but customer should really have checked the work to make sure its "up to what they requested" before it gets to the finish point
That is incorrect. Once you've added it to their home it's their property. If materials can be reclaimed you can get a courtorder allowing you to do so but only with that court order. However professionals will simply put a lien on the property.

Yes they do its a big red button located both on the top and bottom floor. Same with gas stations they also have a big red shutoff button Infront of the gas station usually near the front entrance.
I worked at a Safeway fuel station a few decades ago. One day the station across the river had the fuel truck get hit and spill gas all over the ground then caught fire. No one could get the fuel shutoffs because the fuel quickly surrounded them. The Station building was evacuated. Had to wait for the Fire department to go into the building and hit the shutoff there.
Also on a lot of escalators there's a huge sign on the floor in front of it with what to do and not do in an escalator and one of the thing not to do is sitting on them
Nowadays every pump has an emergency shutoff button, where I live
9:40 Steven Bradbury you legend! Origin of the Australian expression "To do a Bradbury". And yes, after competing in three prior Winter Olympics, nearly bleeding to death in a race collusion eight years beforehand and coming back from neck vertebrae fractures two years prior, he rightfully felt very good about himself finally winning a gold medal.
Even if he didn't go through all that.

Many years ago, we (my wife and I) started getting middle of the night calls from random people (usually men) asking to speak to some girl named Heather. We didn't know any Heather, nor did anyone else live with us. this would happen around 4 or 5 nights a week, usually around midnight to around 4am. while this upset us, at first we tried to get the people to understand that we didn't know any Heather and to not call again. Some would be embarrassed and apologize and hang-up, but some would get angry and start arguing with us. Even hanging up on them wouldn't stop because they would just dial right back, demanding to speak to Heather. this went on for around 8 months. we had reported it to the phone company AND the police (especially for those that threatened us) but as we were living on a university campus at the time (we went to college late, in our late 30s) they couldn't just change the number for us, so we had to suffer through as the school had a block of numbers, each assigned to a specific residence and couldn't just change them. as time went on we started getting more and more information about 'Heather'. where she was at when she handed out the number, her friends names, ect. we eventually spoke to a guy how had seen her again at some club. he waited and saw what her license plate number was and called us back to let us know. we informed the police and they charged her with harassment since it had gone on so long and there had been threats (though not by her directly, she was responsible for giving our number to people who had).
eventually she was found guilty of harassment and had to do community service and pay a fine. we could have sued her for a monetary settlement, but we just wanted our peace back, so we blew it off.
Apparently she liked to go clubbing instead of studying and gave out what she THOUGHT was a fake number with a local area code and prefix with the last four she chose at random. she would give out the number to people she never expected to talk to again and didn't think anything about it for almost a year 1/2. Even the judge told her that was stupid because chances were that SOMEONE would likely have that number.
After she was caught, the phone stopped ringing a few days later, so our peace returned....
moral, don't give out fake numbers. have some balls and just tell the person you don't want to give your number.
LMAO 😂😂😂 that's crazy
Sweet justice.
If you give out fake numbers, always give them out with the prefix "555." Hollywood always uses phone numbers like these, in movies, because no American phone number starts with the prefix "555." Lots of idiots don't know this, however, so giving them the fake number with that fictional prefix, and having them figure it out for themselves, without bothering any innocent parties, is actually super easy to do.
There’s also a specific Rejection Hotline. It’s (605) then 477 then 3018, lol.
There's plenty of false numbers that are set up to take calls like that. It's easy enough to Google one of them.
Put a innocent guy in prison for longer than he had been alive on the outside, then for a settlement give him just enough money as if he had been working for slightly under minimum wage, slightly under full time the whole time. Mistakes happen ig but.. someone should be held liable for why he was found guilty at 16.
Why under minimum wage? Why not give him what he deserves for missing all of his young adult years because they blamed him for the crime they found him not guilty for?
@@badguy751 He was saying what did happen, not what was deserved
not sure how it may vary from state to state, but i would expect, once he is free, the next step is to sue the state/government for damages for those lost 25 years..
they probably figured he would've gotten a part-time job at McD's and they were helping him out by saving it all up for him.
Looked it up and most states pay about $50k per year. Bear in mind that this would be equivalent to $50k per year after expenses, since he didn't have to pay for his living costs while incarcerated. So unless he was on track for upper class or upper middle class income, he'd be better off than if he'd just been making $50k per year. Still not a truly equitable compensation for the years lost, but it's in no way equivalent to making only minimum wage. (My other question would be whether they tax it all lump sum as a single year's income, or if he gets to spread it out so he's taxed no more than if he made just $50k per year. Obviously the latter would be more fair.)

this is usually caused by poor load balancing on the trailer... when the load is too far forward or too far back it can cause an imbalance in the trailer and while traveling, make it sway from side to side. this is why load balancing is very important as this will only get worse at higher speeds and quickly cause an accident...
Yeah. The wiggle can be small, but if it's harmonic with the load balancing it can get worse as you go. Usually best to slow down and stop as soon as you can to correct it.
Yup I always tell people to not pull a trailer long distance if you are not use to it. So much can go wrong if you don't know how to handle it.
Actually the support weight of the tow hook/ball should be maxed out if possible, trying to balance a load over the axle of the trailer can cause more problems.
@@Vulpes10 jep you're right, i saw a demonstration of this ones.

3:47 droping something down an oil rig rotary table can be very expensive if the oil well blowout preventer is shut it could take a few hours or weeks to retrieve the drill pipe or drill bit at the end. if you manage to drop the drill bit, and it turns upside down before entering the well, you have to cement up the well and use directional drilling to go around the old bit. it's common for hospitals to overcharge. even the doctors will overcharge. you can call and 'negotiate' the charges down. insurance companies do it all the time as they know this as well... you can usually get close to 50% off the bill by doing this....
Should never be even half that. The US healthcare for profit system should be a crime against humanity
Half of $200k for "room and board" is still more than I'd pay on my own house + meals for the next 5 years.

Already a lot of great comments on almost every part, saying the same things I would have commented, except for the one showing the car wreck from "Trailer oscillation" (or also called "Trailer sway").
When towing a trailer where the center of weight is behind the trailer wheels, the trailer will keep pulling side to side, starting so softly that it is almost unnoticeable. But as it continues, it gets stronger and stronger until it pulls the towing vehicle out control and results in a wreck, if unable to stop in time. Most often it happens with towing boats or campers where the people load up all of their gear in the back causing it to be heavier behind the trailer axles.
Love that ending.
Never change you two.
21:06 I've heard the phrase "bull in a China shop" a lot of times, but it's so much more brutal in reality
There's a Mythbusters episode about that. They built some very flimsy shelving, put stuff on it, and let a bull loose inside, then multiple bulls. Most of the shelves survived.
3:50 depending on the depths of the well the item that they just dropped could fall anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 ft into the into the hole if the crown valve and the (scssv) is open. The platform would then be shut down and you would have to get a down hole fishing company out there to retrieve it. So that could be a several hundred thousand dollar screw up or more.
Seems like they would have vastly more safeguards against it happening then....

So an idiot who hacks into your home network can't remotely turn on your oven when you're not home. They're the reason we can't have nice things.
On a related note, I was excited to get a refrigerator which would dispense a pre-measured amount of water. I was imagining it working like the soda dispenser at restaurants - put the cup underneath, press a button, and it would turn itself off just as the cup was full. Turns out it doesn't work like that. You push the amount, then have to keep pressing the cup to dispense the water, until it shuts off automatically. Basically it's for people who want to watch TV while filling their water, so they don't have to stare at the cup to know when to stop it. I've never used the feature after that first time.

The thing to remember about colliding with a snow plow is that you have to pay for the damage to the plow and the plow truck too. An inspection and recertification of a plow like that is close to $400 undamaged and its possible to do more $ damage to the plow than the car is worth. Most of the trucks they use are over $140k and the insurance company WILL come for you.
1:01 I'm gonna need that as a beat.
24:52 Room and Board: $263,000, Room and Board after Negotiated Rate Discount: $1,550. For some reason, this bloated pricing scheme is considered permissible. It keeps people reliant on insurance companies instead of trying to pay actual realistic healthcare costs on their own.
Hospitals are required by law to treat people (emergency room patients) regardless of their ability to pay. They need to make the money back somewhere, so they overcharge the people who do pay. Originally they'd say "tough" when those people complained about the high bills. But that got them bad PR, so now they reduce it for anyone who complains. But that means they have to charge even more to the people who end up not complaining. So the initial bill you get is outlandish. And that brings us to where we are today.
Nationwide, the average profit margin for hospitals is just 1%-2%. So nearly all that money is paying for something, be it wages, waste (lots of new supplies get thrown out due to expiration dates and rules about sterility), probably overpriced equipment and medications, maintenance and upkeep, insurance, and covering for no-paying patients.
When a trailer does not have the correct weight on the tongue, the trailer will start swaying and keep swaying. The tongue is suppose to have 10% of the total weight of the trailer and the load on the ball hitch. By having to little weight on the tongue, the rear of the trailer will actually start picking up the rear of the tow vehicle and moving it around, thus the sway. The faster you go the worst the sway will be. I rode one time with my uncle to pick up some used railroad ties. The long switch ties overhung the back of the trailer. My uncle thought as many of the eight foot ties we had in the truck, it would counter the incorrect weight distribution of the trailer. He was wrong. If we got over five miles per hour, the sway was terrible, it was so bad we dove almost 20 miles in first gear at less than 5MPH.
@8:54 the trailer is oscilating and is a very dangerous situation when hauling masses greater than the mass of the car pulling the trailer. Only way to correct the oscilation is to accelerate and hope the trailer straightens, after which you SLOWLY slow down and pull over to reassess the trailer and the load.

Gas station helmet technique is go side to side, not up and down, so the visor doesn't lift. That said, the vigour in cleaning is needed because it's usually dried bugs stuck to the visor. When you get home though, you can just wet some paper towel and lay it across the visor, then come back in like 10min and it just wipes off easy.

23:06 he rides in a separate car to protect her in the event of an unaliving attempt on him.
The Gentleman who won the gold metal in the speed skating is named Steven Bradbury, there is a saying in Australia now after others screw up and you come out on top “Doing a Bradbury” - ( But to be fair you need to consider how much time and effort it took for him to be in that race at all ).
9:13 Correct. If you place too much weight to the rear on a trailer it has a really large risk of swerving. It is not easy at all to stop the swerving either.
0:45 sauce?
.
0.45 sauce Please and thank you
24:03 because there is a risk that someone will die if they come into contact with the residue.
yup it can be absorbed through the skin
@@jacara1981 Yup. And you have to literally wear a hazmat suit and completely dismantle the car and pressure wash everything individually just to get the upholstery safe. That doesn't count the hours of labor involved in trying to decontaminate the parts that have electronics in them. Cheaper to just destroy the car and get a new one.
That risk is so insanely minimal that it's not even something to be concerned about. Doesn't absorb into the skin as a powder, and any trace amounts like that would be non-life threatening. So much fearmongering about fentanyl.
@@chromaticblue3976 the insurance companies don't care.
@@UrashimaO Besides which chromaticblue didn't pay attention to what was said in the video. The video specifically stated that they had been "smoking" fentanyl in the car. Anytime you add a chemical to a smokable substance the residue is deposited as an oil which can be absorbed through the skin. I worked for 18 yrs. in law enforcement. Fentanyl, meth, whatever. Didn't matter. Shit is dangerous and any time we had to deal with substances like that, hazmat suits were mandatory.
(12:45) I love the idea that everyone was pointing to the camera and cheered when he finally saw it.
sometimes you get a "supposed for " Medication for its sideeffect , painkillers for example ... to thin blood and lower blood pressure ...go save check always with your doctor
The wrestling video was fake.
No it wasn't. I bet you are the guy who got his ass whupped twice, that's all.
0:15 You should entice people to support your patreon and that's fine but don't show what people want in the preview
The flossing thing happened to me too. Those flossing picks get stuck sometimes. As you get older you get these little protrusions in between molars that are part of the tooth but not fully connected. Normally they just stay put but if the flosser gets stuck they can pop off. Nothing bad happens. It is just cosmetic, but there is more space that food can get stuck in.
Snow plow and truck did the Double Lariat move from Naruto aye lmao
21:11 This gives "a bull in a china shop" a new meaning.
Love the ending on this one lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣that was the best sign off ever @Henry
21:10 *"Cola? **_DRINK RED BULL!"_* 🤣
14:11 "Is this the Power Rangers?" Henry, they're (at best) proto Iron Men. 😂
Or when you steal someone's Pokemon guide from their desk during lunch and frame someone else only to actually steal it after... Grade 4 problems lol @ 2:47
lol henry was trying to act smart and trying to roast the flame i microwave dude and got amazed XD
10:15 There is an emergency stop switch under the rail at the top and bottom. It is a big red button that says Emergency STOP on it.
