Today we check out how the Allbirds Wool Runners have held up over the past 4 years. I've been a long time supporter of Allbirds and have worn them almost daily for the past couple of years. They are just as comfortable as they claim and are great for hiking, light jogging, and almost any activity.. I even use these for sports (although traction isn't great). Wow 😭 thanks so much! I put a lot of effort into this one by purchasing lighting, a gimbal, shooting b-roll, etc. So it really means a lot! Got super busy with work recently so I had to put CZcams on the back burner for a little bit unfortunately

The first All Birds review I have seen that is so informative. Thank you! Also, when you dry them, you should stuff cotton balls (or dryer balls) for the top (or entire body) of the shoes to not shrink. It actually works :)

I've washed them once and it did affect the water resistance a little but it's still good :) they are good for running but not for hiking on rocks or trees but I can still do it haha mine dont have very good grip on the bottom. They're the ankle high ones. All in all I will be buying these for the rest of my days
I’ve had the wool loungers for almost three years now and I love them. My only two issues;
1. theres a small hole worn on the inside where my big toes are
2. the upper lining inside the shoe has separated from the wool layer. Sometimes the layers fold funny when I slip the shoe on without extra attention. It’s a bit cumbersome but willing to deal with it for how comfortable the shoe is.
They’ve lasted surprisingly long. I love being able to just throw them in the washing machine and do it often.
I just bought the wool pipers in lichen and I’m so excited for it to arrive. Hopefully the pipers don’t have the same lining separation problem.
Great long term feedback! The shoes that I have also have some flaws after 4-5 years but I have no regrets buying them!
Proper review bruda - i do hope they do some more aggresive designs for traction in the future
Much appreciated man! I agree that they should go a little bolder with future designs. However, their focus is obviously on simple and sustainable sneakers

Nothing on the midsoles and i've been wearing them for years!

Yes, I normally wear a 12.5 and I got these in a 12 and they fit great

Thanks for the compliment! I’d recommend going with a pair of boat shoes if you’re wearing cargo shorts. If you want maximum comfort then these AllBirds Wool Runners or even the Tree Dashers (video coming in a few days) would be a great option. The Tree Dashers will have better support if that’s a priority for you. As for me, I’m a 12.5 and I sized down to a size 12 perfectly
Would you say that these are good for wide feet? I want to get a pair for my grandpa (the slip ons), because he keeps hurting his back from tying his shoes. He has wider feet, so I want to be able to make sure that they are a good fit.
That’s a great idea. While I haven’t worn the slip ons, I have fairly wide feet and these fit me well. I genuinely can’t think of a reason these wouldn’t fit a foot even wider than mine. Please let me know if you get these for him!

How do they hold up being washed? Also would it be possible for you to review their new running trainer?
They hold up fantastic. I got mine really dirty and washed them and they literally look brand new. Washed them about 4 times in total and they're great! Also, I am filming a review of the new running shoes "Tree Dashers" right now so be on the lookout for that!
What is the minimum temperature in which you can wear these?
I would be comfortable wearing these in any temperature. Just not ideal for rain since they're wool.
They're actually perfect for the rain because of the Merino wool. Merino is water resistant. Sorry video guy you need to do your research better.
I tried the ones with wool and the tree runners without wool insoles. I do not find the ones with wool comfortable at all. They hurt my feet. The ones without wool I find extremely comfortable. In my opinion hokas are the most comfortable shoes in the world. I also would never put shoes in the washing machine even if they say you can
My two cents: The old Allbirds Wool Runners were fantastic and very comfortable. I did receive a pair of the new ones (Wool Runner 2's) and they hurt my feet because they are too tight and the back heel is at a weird angle. I have also experienced pilling of the wool lining in the new ones. It's a shame but I think I like the old ones better. As for the tree runners, I'm a HUGE fan and they're probably my most worn shoe. No complaints here. I do put my shoes in the washing machine but just make sure they're tied up in a pillow case or something to prevent them bouncing around too much.
Are these too hot for tropical countries? Anyone know? Cheers.

$100 for shoes isnt bad at all. buying Adidas Ultraboosts are around double that and arent waterproof.
If they hold up to water and the PNW rain, then sounds like a deal to me.
I wear them in the rain with no issues! Even used them hiking in the PNW

Haha good question.. lots of things use color ways rather than colors but it is a little weird
3 years... lol. My shoes costed $40 over 4 years ago. In much better shape than your 3 years shoes . It is also the best comfortable shoes ever. I do wear daily if not raining or snowing.

Fair enough! They're definitely not for everyone. Highly recommend their dedicated running shoes though!
@@CarterShaffer I have tried them now a few times during the last few days and they don't really suit my purpose. Not enough stability and way to hot for anything except winter...had them on at room-temperature for 30 min and was already sweating
I just don't like how everyone's big toe is so accentuated in the shoe.
SO TRUE! I have noticed that the big toe tends to pop up all the time. However with the tree dashers I have not had that problem
