After wearing the Allbirds Tree Dashers for six months I have some important thoughts on what I like and dislike about them. They aren't perfect but for $125 they are a very solid workout or running shoe that stands out from the competition.

I have several pair of All-birds. They’re great shoes, but the biggest negative are the soles. They’re not deep enough and wear out quickly. This is true for all models except the trail runners, which are AMAZING hiking shoes.
Agreed on the soles! You should really give the Tree Flyers a try. Best soles they’ve released!
Hi carter! I am really courious about the wide and high arche you mentioned, I am the same, did you ever try barefoot minimal shoes? Or something like Birkenstock?
I’ve never tried those types of shoes so I can’t say unfortunately. However, I’m sure barefoot minimal shoes are really great too! I’d imagine that those types of shoes are completely different than the Allbirds. If you decide to go with more of a traditional athletic shoe then I recommend giving the Tree Dashers a try! If not, I’m sure there are plenty of unique options out their like the barefoot ones

Yes, much better than the wool runners. The tree dashers are my favorite of all time for anything athletic
I would like the black ones. How have they held up over time? I just bought the tree skippers
They have held up very very well. I beat up the white tree dashers in this video and they've held up great! I've even used them for hikes through the woods, vacations to South America, etc. Highly recommend them.

Great video. Did you size up or down? You mention your size, and I usually wear a 10.5. They fit great besides my big toe feeling cramped. Do they stretch?
Size up!! I’m a 12.5 and I recently picked up another pair in size 12 and they’re too tight. Been wearing them for a bit and they haven’t stretched yet

performance in rain? puddles?
I try to not use them in the rain but the times I have, they dried out really quick thanks to (I think) those small slits throughout the webbing of the shoes. If you’re talking traction, no issues at all. The wool runners had THE WORST traction ever but these Tree Dashers are really good
Allbirds arent made for rain. If you step in a puddle or get caught in a downpour, your feet are gonna get soaked. Can confirm that they do dry out pretty fast if you set them in the sun or in front of a strong fan.

These are the 1. The 2’s added more traction and a slightly different design! I actually prefer the look of the 1s over the 2s and the traction of the 2s over the 1s but they’re both great!
