- Someone recreated the entire Great Plateau area from The Legend of Zelda: BOTW in VRChat! It is incredible and I recommend any VR player to try it out! Better hurry quick though, knowing Nintendo, they may shut it down.

I honestly never played a Zelda game but this just makes me wanna visit this map
I recommend playing an SNES emulator, and starting with Zelda: A Link to the Past. And if that gets you into it. Zelda will be for you. But definitely check out this map!
@@SadlyItsBradley Breath of the Wild is certainly not a bad place to start either if you like challenges and exploration, but yeah, Link to the Past definitely has the classic Zelda foundation.
Just dont start with the og zelda because that game is really hard
Zelda games are wonderful, its my favourite video game series ever. You should definitely play it.
I remember getting A Link Between Worlds for a birthday gift, it was my first zelda game and I was addicted. Eventually I ended up playing and beating almost every zelda game. They are truly amazing games and you should check them out. My favorite is ocarina of time.

@@Pyramidion Not really sure! I am still pretty new to VRChat so I am learning so much. At the very least, hope the creator somehow uploads the source files for the map in case C&S happens

Is this just exploring the map but not really play combat, etc? And cant save progress right
There are few interactive things that let you progress similarly to the tutorial section of the real thing. Including a certain enemy that can kill you. Its beautiful and worth it if you have VR. Otherwise, it obviously wont hold a candle to the real thing.

I wonder how the author ported it over to Unity. It must have been quite a pain to port map data, models, visuals, items, etc. to an entirely different engine.

The map and animations are literally ripped from the game, it's not a recreation.
They still had to assemble everything, it isn't as simple as crtl + c and ctrl + v
that's definitely the future.
It is! Its like going on vacation to video game worlds and taking family photos everywhere. I love it

how did you get past leaving first cave in VR?
Climbing is hard, but doable. Have to keep your hands above your head at all times and click grip and trigger while climbing. Or you can just keep walking forward while spamming jump
