- The Interceptor and Continental GT 650 have been a milestone in Royal Enfield's career. They single-handedly changed the perception of the Tamil Nadu-based manufacturer to one who can give a truly global product at a cost that will leave the world scratching their heads - how the bloody hell did they manage to price it like that?
Not only is this the first "big" for many in India, it is also a second bike for many who already ride multi-cylinder, 10 lakh rupee plus superbikes.
Clearly, people now have the purchasing power to afford these "premium" 650 twins. Now, when they are in the market for aftermarket parts, they are looking for the same kind of quality.
Gone are the days when one would hunt for the cheapest possible deal, no matter how much they would have to compromise on the quality.
We want good quality parts, and we don't mind paying the fair price for them.
I have been dealing with a lot of aftermarket parts manufacturers in the last one year, but none have come close to the quality that I found in the products of ADVTribe.in

The tail rack and the radiator grille are bloody awesome. Props to these guys for a job really well done. This is the kind of shit that fuels the quality automotive after market scene and this is the kind of stuff that gives you the feeling that this is it. The pure and utter satisfaction of doing something right for your ride.

I just checked out the advtribe accessories for my dominar and yes they do provide quality stuff and i am in love with the luggage tail rack they provide!

Jordar sirji, aaj maza aagaya, this set-up doesn't look bike bad. I m still finding Dyno tested exhausted, which has treble and bass sound in one exhaust.
Give me a couple of days to blow your mind with the best slip on, dyno-tested exhaust for the Interceptor.

@abhinav is that a continental GT seat? i wanted to do that and when i asked the showroom guys, they werent sure about it. they werent sure about if the GTs seat is gonna fit into the interceptor. becouse of the tank size difference.

Can you tell me more about that black GT 650 in backgroud , i think the engine is powdered coated (not sure) , Does blackening engine affects the thermodynamics?
It is my friend Ashwin's bike. I don't think powdercoating affects thermodynamics much. Mine is powdercoated too, but doesn't get any hotter than the stock engine.

ADV tribe accessories are of premium quality and well powder coated too. For the premium price ( a bash plate cost nearly 6K) it is worth especially if you buy premium bikes like interceptor. Go for it if you use your int650 for long term.

could i know , if the owner did any detailing or any other protection for the chrome. i am expecting delivery of my chrome in 2 weeks, so wanted to know any pointers which i can take care from day 1. I am from Bangalore and wanted to know if i should consider 'ceramic' coating or something like that (OR) if there were issues with any particular coating (reaction with chrome)

Best to stick with stock, buddy. All aftermarket exhausts will make you lose back pressure.
Wanted to buy a royal enfield interceptor for my boyfriend. Would it be a good bike for long rides for 2 people, specifically mountainous roads?
Yes, it is a very good bike. Might want to look at the KTM 390 ADV too.
I own an interceptor too and love it (100X). my only gripe is that the pillion rider has a bit of an uncomfortable seating position for long rides. i would request you to test ride. KTM 390 ADV looks like a great option too.
Test ride for sure as footpeg re position kits for the pillion seem to be popular. That said its a very smooth bike for enjoyable touring...

Bro, it will have to be your choice. I love both the bikes. They are quite different from each other. Apples and oranges comparison. Interceptor is smooth, relaxed. KTM is frenetic, good tourer, but slightly vibey.

Hi Arnav. I am running Liqui Moly Street Race and it is the smoothest oil I have used so far. Give it a try.
Another channel reported Motul oil (same grade as stock) to be running cooler and same smoothness

The Interceptor has dual-channel ABS. Are you asking for the R15? If so, I have no plans to get on my bike. Neither do I think it is possible to retrofit ABS.

The prices you quoted for the parts sounded reasonable until you go to their website - $20 for the sidestand extender in India, $50 if you are buying from overseas! No way that shipping could add $30 to the price.
You'll have to take this up with them. I only know of the Indian pricing.
These are unnecessarily expensive. The metal slab itself shouldn't be this costly because any other product out there (Indian) uses Machined Cut parts. The paint (powder coating) could be a little expensive but honestly, they don't seem to stand out either in gloss, or matt. Not worth the premium, especially those mirror extenders which cost roughly as much as a local well made set of Bar Risers
