As someone feom Bakersfield I never thought i'd ever hear Harvick and Tsuchiya in the same race.
Crazy...
Feels like KoRn touring with Ningen Isu
10:23 wow Drift King raced along a future NASCAR champion, nice
Only Tsuchiya would accidentally drift the car on the first lap. Lol
I really love shit like this. Fan of all Indy car, circuit racing, Nascar and NHRA
Cool to see Kevin Harvixk won this race, a veteran in the cup series today. Has ran in the top series since the death of Dale Earnhardt in 2001.
As an American I frequently wonder what NASCAR is like to racing fans outside of the country, particularly in Japan. (Big initial d/GT(300/500) fan)
I’ve seen a few reaction videos but this is the best I’ve found on the outside perspective of nascar from Japanese drivers! Love it! I wonder how Keichii would like the Next Gen car with its new GT inspired setup.
90's is the good old days of NASCAR
Yeah! 80's 90's and 2000's good old days and good looking NASCAR
@3:50 the drift king pulls off one of NASCAR's greatest saves. That was a veteran move right there
I've only seen two better saves than that. Jamie McMurray's save in the Car of Tomorrow and Jimmie Johnson's 2006 spin.
Dk-Tsuchiya sure is a talented driver indeed, Nascar isn't easy to control saying from my experience from simulations though he was still determined to drive to checkered flag, he did a nice job
13:40 lap 86 was the real drift lap
Of course
Of course lap 86 lol
Man if only he didn't get that puncture, he may have finished out the race. Still great race DK
-sorry....
-you did a good job
you can tell the car needed work, great driving as expected
Great driver he did well for his first time.. 🏁🏁
14:21. So nice that Keiichi says "sorry" after he crashed the car. He's so polite😊😊
I never expected Keiichi to be interested in Nascar
Racers weren't as stuck up back in the 90's as they are now.
He's the kind of a reasonable man, that will race anything he gets his hands on
DK goes to California for NASCAR Racing.
So much respect for this man. Legend!
It’s crazy how the California speedway will soon be a short track DK should come drive that
Thank you for the Nascar posts !
DK Tsuchiya is all around racer
Not Keiichi Tsuchiya when there are no powerslides/drifts in every cars he drove and filmed. AE86, Eunos Cosmo, 767b, NASCAR. You name it, he’ll slide it lol. Idk, it just feels hilarious to me.
this was a great watch, thanks 👍
Since it wasn't mentioned, I'll list the estimated specifications of the engines. I will use metric, as the predominant audience of Best Motoring is Japanese.
Unfortunately, since I don't know any Japanese, they will have to use the in-built Google Translate function that CZcams has implemented.
All three of the top divisions used 5,860cc carbureted 90 degree V8 engines, with the Cup series switching to electronic fuel injection in 2012.
In the 1990s, cars either had restrictor plates or they didn't. On a medium-length track like California Speedway (renamed Auto Club Speedway), the cars ran unrestricted, with Cup cars producing close to 850PS. Since the West and Busch series ran smaller carburetors, power output was closer to 650PS.
The maximum engine speed of these engines can be raised or lowered by the race teams through an ignition cutting rev limiter, but they generally didn't exceed 9000RPM until the 2000s.
On the large 4.8km superspeedways Daytona and Talladega, the cars were restricted to around 450PS through the use of an intake restrictor plate, limiting top speed to around 310KM/H. If ran at full power, the cars can and would exceed 360KM/H.
The cars used 4-speed manual transmissions modified for race use. In the hands of a skilled driver, shift times can rival that of even the best sequential manual transmissions.
Approximate weight is 1600kg.
Man this is awesome
Can we for whatever reason have all 3 drivers Touge a Dodge Challenger??
gonna be very hillarious
or a Charger.
They'd be like: ok just like a cannon road, just like a canion road' just like a- wait is that a corner *hits the brakes and understeers just before hitting the guard rail*
You Ree they’re pros at touge they won’t crash they have car knowledge to understand how to race, Incase they are better than most Americans
@@RAYSGT They've had experience with previous generations of the Mustang and Camaro.
Would probably grip it though. The new Challenger and Charger look more of a grand tourer than a muscle car.
Holy DK you make me learn experince about NASCAR maybe you still learn DK
maestro, well done
Respect ✊
absolutamente sensacional e inusitado
3:46 DK is DK.
As DW would say, that car was evil. He was battling it all weekend while it was trying to snap out from under him at every opportunity
Sentiu a pressão em DK....
On lap 86.....
Fast&Furious 9 The Fast Saga)
bruh
DK on that V8
Lol I never knew how hard it is to drive at that speed 😂 like a circle ⭕️
Harvick retired last season and this is from 1998, i feel old as fuck
If you trying sim racing with 20-30 cars at 300+kph and think about it you need formation follow slip- stream behind other (very hard) the same time you need to pay attention on the tire wear, (to keep the car on track) fuel and temperature etc ... It is so frustrating in the process...
Mascar....
Lol they put a Bubba sticker on his car
If the pro drifter is a pro nascar
86 is real
1:26 did he just roast him for bwing honest
12:52 who the heck is driving that number 40?
I cant find any evidence of that cars exhistence outside this video
Kelly tanner,, Raced late models at evergreen speedway and ran the full Winston West schedule in 1998 iirc, also ran the exhibition race at motegi in 1998
Can someone please subtitle this!!!
Short story is he was doing really well.. 15th and got a slow puncture so not his fault he spun..
I just submitted English subtitles. Just waiting for them to get published.
@@StudioVRM they're amazing, thank you!

StudioVRM thank you for what you do

ok
The other drivers in the classroom could not take their xenophobia! None greeted him when he stood up or clapped.
XENOPHOBIA TO THE MAX! 3:04
Projecting, much?
No…that’s how these “good old boys” operate. Laid back and don’t give a shit about new people until they prove themselves.
