In the 80's, I bought one in white, with a little bit of rust, for $750, 161cu, opal 4 speed, can't keep them all. I like that one.
Very beautiful amazing perfect looking cars just love them all best cars on the road thanks friend have a very nice night
Great memories
Your right mate, should be 2600s on the engine number.
Sensational
The LJ series was neater and better looking package and in XU-1 form, its performance not as crude as the LC. Still a great job to make this car look as good, if not better than when it was in the showroom in 1970.
You would be one of only handful of people to say a lj is neater and looks better
@@robhunt2451 That's because I've owned both. I don't think anyone would dispute the LJ was a more refined car.
Priceless.

Nice 👍
Immaculate
If you can find a 1969 like the one I have it’ll be
Legendary my mate wants to buy one any condition it doesn’t matter as long as it’s drives I’ll get it down to the old mechanic and get some alterations done
Very smart, I thought the engine number should be 2600S or was that only early in the series. cheers.
You are correct it should be ,later lc gtrs did have a 173 but should be CF not CD
This car is pretty close to mine, also a 4/71 Brisbane built car. Should have the 161S and Opel 4 speed.
Please bring back chrome bumpers.
Haha, 161 holden 2 barrel worth crazy money...20 hp less than an HR X2..what was GMH thinking!?
How much $ ….?
There is a link to the ad in the description.
Was listed for $125k
Not the original gearbox :-(
Or engine. It says in the ad it has a 173 and M20, pretty common upgrade back in the day I believe.
