There is 5 torana's in this collection with 2 more to come. Enjoy the walk around each car has a story to tell and they have been restored to various levels.
I'm a MOPAR man but I can appreciate other types of cars. I do have a soft spot for most Australian muscle cars and the GTR and the XU1 Toranas are right up there. A nice collection of motor memorabilia 😎👍
Crikey, could you please not slam the doors. I had four LJ toranas back in the day, including a very rare 100% genuine imitation GTR 😊😊 They are still a great car to own
My uncle has an L34 Torana Is the only one I have seen with my own eyes I seen a few in magazines and videos but not in real life He has turned down some good offers over 100 K he always told me he will never get another chance to buy one if he sells it Not sure how many would be still registered and driven today not a lot I am guessing
Total production of L34 SL/R 5000 Toranas was 263 units, all completed in the latter part of 1974 at a retail cost of $6,609 each. I’d be surprised if there is more than 50 left
Torana, the only car built to handle like a truck. Woeful cars. And ugly to boot. No redeeming features. There must be a lot of cashed up bogans out there because there is no way to justify the prices they fetch. Poor value for money.
@@obiemichaels9675 HaHa yeah ok. Ummm, so you are using the equivalence of comparing how the Torana handled relative to another heavier car that handled like a piece of shit, to try to prove your point that Toranas handled okay. Comprehension difficulties much? There are these organizations out there that can help with comprehension difficulties, they are called schools. You should give them a try.
@nkelly9778 nice try there but you made the first comparison. So tell me then, what car of the 70s was a better handling car at the time? There wasn't much around that came close to an A9X for handling in the late 70s. Please share with us your wisdom.
@@obiemichaels9675 You're doing well. I did make a comparison, but it is a valid one. No false equivalences. You obviously don't know much about cars to ask such a question. For starters, most cars from Europe other than from Ford and GM handled better than Toranas, with their antiquated solid rear axle and drum brakes. The A9X cars handled poorly and the Toranas that came before it were woeful. Their out dated design limited their capabilities. Give it a rest son, stop digging and climb out of the hole you have dug.
great to see old classics in their original condition.

Dream shed 😊 Beautiful video enjoyed took me right back to the 70s, wish I Still had mine 😊
The only complaint I have is the VW toilet lid on the wall.
Awesome collection how about a tour on the Mx bikes up stairs👍

Hey mate, love your videos. Would the owner of these cars consider selling the hatchback torana?
Love it👍
How common would a 71 (7/71) LC GTR in Estorol Bronze be ?
I’ve seen a few
As soon as you said that's the original paint I turned off because there's no way that's original paint as the car is clearly painted as an A9X.
It's hard to pick one amongst the pickings of eye CaNdY
Mate the second month 1970 XU1.. I am sure the XU1 only became available around the second half of 1970?
Yep it’s 2/71
👏👍✌️🆒

Ugliness is in the eyes of the beholder. Very few people would agree with you.
Handle like a truck? Haha yeah ok. Even Allan Moffat said the torana was a far better handling car than his falcon, but hey what would he know
